Description of Work: I worked when they were Solis Iron Works but it is the same company. Getting the plans took a long time and then, because they had not updated their insurance and had a permit still open from a prior job as Solis Iron Works what should have taken a month took three. They were, to be honest, fair in reducing the cost of the project overall due to the delays.

+ 0 moreI already had an iron gate but it needed painting badly. Yoli ( Owner) came out and gave me an estimate and told me what the best thing to do would be. She gave me several options and showed me lots of pictures. The workers covered up the concrete post and sanded and painted each slat carefully.They welded new points on the entire fence and also put new caps. When I saw a problem someone came out ASAP and fixed it.
Description of Work: Sand and repaint iron fence. Also replace all the points and caps.

+ -1 moreOn 6/25/14 and again on 7/1/14 we contacted Solis via e-mail sending detailed information and pictures and asking for a quote. They never responded. The project (2 gates and 2 railings) may have been too small for them, but they could/should have responded with that information.
Description of Work: Solis did not respond to a request for a quote.

+ 1 moreConsidering that it is very difficult to work inside of a home when it comes to removing old metal work and then weld new metal work, they did a good job of trying to keep everything as clean as possible. The design is very beautiful and they did a very good job of welding it to the existing columns. I'm very happy and would highly recommend them.
Description of Work: I wanted to remove the spiral metal work that was between interior iron columns. I had four of these interior iron columns that I wanted changed. So they removed the old spiral metals from the four columns and then welded the new Beautiful design that they created into the four interior columns. I had them design modern rectangles, remove old spirals, and weld new rectangle design.

+ -1 moreMartin's wife answered the phone promptly, went to see the gate the following day and gave me a detailed estimate. The price was fair. I arrranged for a date to do the repair. They were very acommodating. The job was done flawlessly on the day that was promised. I would definitely work with them again.

He worked around our schedule by stopping by our home after hours to assess and quote the job and installing over the weekend. He contributed to the "creative process" behind this idea. But more importantly, he did a terrific job of seamlessly combining the two wrought iron pieces according to the specifications of our door. PLUS, he offered to create a fireplace grill with the remaining wrought iron pieces at not extra charge!
Description of Work: We had two wrought iron pieces from Morocco. With those two pieces, Martin created a hand-crafted, custom-made, wrought-iron design element for our front door.
