Don Bailey Flooring

Buyers beware! I purchased vinyl plank flooring a year ago and I have cracked, peeled, separated, and unleveled flooring. I have been trying to get them to fix it and still I have no resolution. This product was sold to me with a 30 year warranty and they keep giving me the run around. If I knew I was going to throw 8600 out the door than I would be ok with this crap product. The floor is so bad I’m embarrassed to invite anyone to my house. Anyone that comes in notices how bad of a product and install was done and here I thought I was smart by going with a reputable company.

I am tardy (by a few months!) in writing this review....but the message is steadfast. Don Bailey Flooring is fantastic, especially if Karen W. is your point-person. I have had the pleasure of working with Karen on three projects since fall of 2018. In each instance, I gave her the impossible -- I selected a limited availability item and a super tight time-frame for delivery and installation. She hit home-runs each time. I told her that it was so refreshing to finally meet someone who was in the Business of Providing Solutions, not just selling a product. Karen is super high-touch, she would check-in multiple times a day to provide proactive updates, and during installation, she would come herself to ensure quality compliance. Prior to beginning any work, she walked me through what to expect, as well as what my alternatives were that I may or may not have considered on my own. The latter was particularly appealing to me, because it showed that Karen could put my interests first and educate me in what other options were available to me. To add icing to the cake, I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Don Bailey, Sr. himself! Wow is he funny (and obviously wicked smart!)!! He even gave me a copy of his biography, which was a great read! In conclusion, it was a pleasure working with Karen, and I would do so again in a heartbeat. Also, I proudly refer Don Bailey Flooring to any of my friends or colleagues that are even thinking about flooring needs.

I was specifically looking for quality remnants because this was a new house (to us) and we were planning on doing a lot of remodeling and would be replacing the carpet again afterward the projects were over. In the meantime, the carpet that came with the house had to be thrownout. So, I still wanted good quality but I did not want to spend twice for it. I went to almost 15 different carpet stores from Homestead to Ft. Lauderdale. I found that Don Bailey has the best selection of quality remnants. But, I was not expecting to be treated so exceptionally well and the service to be so extrodinaraly professional! From the moment I entered the store they where professional, patient and helpful throughout the entire transaction. I was treated no differently based on the fact that I was NOT buying full price. I was buying remnants for 5 rooms including halls and closets. I first met Ramone at the West Ft. Lauderdale location. But when I did not find everything I wanted there he referred me to the North Miami location. He followed through with me from that location and I was not handed off to someone else. It took me hours and multiple visits to make my selections, and he endured me with patience and respect. They sent someone to do the measuring to be sure what I was selecting was the correct size. They held the carpet for me for approximately 1 month until the house was repainted and ready for installation. They where more than accommodating.I made multiple calls for scheduling and overtime followed up promptly and professionally. The installers where just as impressive and professional (and they spoke English) They took their time to make sure that each carpet selection was for the correct room. Their cutting and installing was prompt and perfect. They took their time to do it right the first time and not have to come back and went out of their way to be sure I was satisfied and happy. We were short for 1 large closet. They called the office and made arrangements to come back and finish up. It took another week but I didn't have to do any followup or worry about them returning. The office and Ramone kept me update and informed every step of the way.

The instillation was fine, however buyer beware advertised specials on their website do not actually exist and they will not tell you this when you ask. I specifically scheduled with them because I found a landlord's special on their website for carpet that was 0.99 a square foot installed including padding. I communicated with Deborah via email prior to scheduling my estimate, explained I had a short time frame and asked if the landlords special was available. She stated that it was and had someone call me for an estimate. My original estimate had to be rescheduled to the following day because they had some delays on their end, which only left two days to install before my tenant moved in. When the estimate was complete it included a labor charge and came out to 696 square feet of carpet. This was already an inflated measurement because it had one of the bedrooms calculated at 370 square feet, the previous carpet instillation to the same room only needed 315 square feet of carpet and the other bedroom is smaller. Then the 0.99 carpet now did not include instillation. When I finally got a response as to why I was not being given the advertised pricing this is what I was told: "Sorry for any confusion throughout the process. We are in the process of transitioning our entire $0.99/sf installed inventory. As such, the website doesn't exactly match our inventory just yet, because we are still awaiting delivery on some of the products in that selection and some of the berber items online are not in stock/discontinued. Due to the need to have the carpet installed prior to Saturday, I only brought the items at $0.99/sf that I could install within the required timeline. As far as how the estimate is broken down, the $0.99/sf includes removal and disposal of the existing carpet, as well as providing new carpet and padding. This works out to be $689.04 at 696sf. The installation works out to be $230.00". At no time was I told that these were not in stock and that the advertised next day instillation would not be available. This is a clear bait and switch tactic that I had no choice but to accept because by the time I got answers my timeline was almost up and I had a tenant moving in the next day. When I expressed my displeasure to the company they offered an additional $25 discount because they did not want an unhappy customer. Here's an idea, if you don't want unhappy customers do not advertise things that don't exist or at least tell the customer those things are unavailable when asked or if all else fails just honor your advertisement. A $25 discount on something that should have cost $230 less according to your own ad is not an acceptable solution. Do not use this company. I used Classic Carpets the last time I replaced carpet and was very happy with them, take my advice you will pay the same amount either way but the quality of product and the integrity of the company will be better with anyone but Don Bailey Flooring.

On the day after the installation the carpet began to unravel. I made several phone calls to the salesman who I was communicating with, and he gave me the run around. He gave me a phone number finally that I called multiple times and left mesaages. No one call me back. They blew me off. Only because I didn't know what to do in this situation, I did not take further actions. I was told the product was very old and was not stored properly it is like carpet rot.

We hired them to do a rental property for us. First they didn't quote us for all 3 rooms only 2. So when they showed up late which they did, the workers refused to do any of the work. When we contacted the office we finally got the 3 bedroom paid for, but they did not install it that day. They guys had to come back another day. When i went to check on the installation they left all corners of the carpet coming off, I called and reported it and they were suppose to fix it the next day. They did not and i had to have one of my own guys go and fix it. We are still awaiting for a call back to discuss the issues we had and its a week later. They did a horrible job and no one responded for it, But they for sure got paid for it.

Friendly, professional 2 man crew came in and fixed carpet as if it was never cut. They were quick and efficient and professional. Done at a reasonable price. I recommend this company for any carpeting problem.

I had a good experience from start to finish. Selection the carpet and pad was easy with help from the sales person(s) The price was good and setting the date of installation. The installation went smooth (took about 3.5 hrs) Very professional and neat and clean. I will certainlly use them again.

This could not have been any easier. I stopped by their showroom on Biscayne Blvd. and the gentleman who works there showed me what they had in stock. He showed me three options for the color I had in mind. I chose one, but wanted to think about it. I called back a week later to place the order and the installation was scheduled for that week. The installers showed up on time in the morning, worked quickly and cleaned up when they were finished. They said they enjoy working for Don Bailey and complimented me on my choice of carpet.

THE BEST. I have used Don Bailey for five projects ranging from tile to carpeting to hardwoods. At all times they have been excellent in all phases of the project. I highly recommend them.

Carpet in my house had been totally destroyed by my renter. I used Don Bailey Flooring the last time it was installed and was very pleased with product and service. Vince Malone came to measure my rooms the day after I called. We selected carpet/price. Installers arrive at the designated hour THE NEXT DAY and did a great job. Who could ask for anything more?

I recently had the opportunity, along with my Mother, who the new carpet was for, made contact with three carpet companies. The final decison was to purchase my Mother's wall-to-wall carpeting from Don Bailey's Flooring. The initial presentation, was well as the other contacts were done in a very high professional manner and my Mother was extremely pleased with the sales person, Ms. Karen Waite, who was very knowledgeable about the type of carpeting that we were looking for. Both my Mother and I are extremely please with the quality of the wall-towall carpeting and the installation that was done in an excellent manner by their installers.

They seem very professional. They sent a sales person and installer out for the estimate which I thought was good. I am going to receive another estimates, but I am definitely considering them for the work. They even came out about two days after I called.

We were very pleased with the company and our sales guy, Vince, was great. We weren’t going to do the flooring through him but at the last minute we changed our minds; he had his installers out there the next day. Everyone showed up when they were supposed to and they did a quality job. The carpet needed to be stretched again and they came right out to do it. They have reasonable, competitive prices and he matched every other estimate we got. Something fell on our laminate and it has a knick in it so they came out and tried to repair it but it wasn’t covered. They tried to make it better and the service was good, but I don’t know if I would go with their laminate again.

We felt very well looked after by our sales rep, David Seigel, who was both detailed, informative and attentive without being pushy. We were very happy with Joe, the floor installer he subcontract to the job. Joe is exceptionally skilled installer, specializing in hardwood, with over 20 years experience with Don Bailey and we appreciated that David got him for our relatively small laminate job. There seemed to be a little miscommunication about materials and the exact difficulty of the job, which resulted in a one-day delay for the finish but no apparent loss of quality. When we required a minor adjustment afterward (due to our difficult original floor), they responded so quickly that Joe came over to repair it that very morning.

I contacted Don Bailey?s Flooring at the recommendation of my real estate agent. The quoted price was the final price. Work was completed in a timely manner, the quality of the product was excellent and the workmanship was excellent. These people are great.

The company rep. who came out did a very good job in matching my pre-existing hardwood. He contacted me within 2 days with a quotation. After agreeing on the quote, he faxed me the information and followed up with a phone call and date for the work to be performed. The workers who came to do the actual job were wonderful. They completed the job in 2.5 days. They paid attention to detail and asked me to look at something to approve it if there was a question before they proceeded. They showed up on time and worked straight through the day. They were very quick and efficient; and pleasant to work with. Very polite and took into consideration that I do have pets in my home. Additionally, they took away all of the carpet and it's installation material. They were also very neat in their work, cleaned up very well, did not scratch any of my walls, furniture, etc. A supervisor came to check on the work also. Phone numbers were left with me in the event I had any issues later on.

THE WORKERS WERE POLITE, COURTEOUS AND HARDWORKING. THERE WAS NO PROBLEM WITH THE ORDER. I WAS ABLE TO RECEIVE THE TYPE OF TILE I WANTED AND THE PRICE WAS AFFORDABLE.
