DISCOUNT TREE SVC

Arrived Late with the wrong equipment. Didn't knock to let us know they had arrived. We only realized they were here when we saw them drive over our grass after it had been raining for hours and ruined it. Told us they would be back with the correct equipment and some potting soil to fill in their tire marks on our grass. They never returned and the company wouldn't return our phone calls or text messages. We even called a different location to try to get someone to assist us with this mess. Will never use this company again!

I was given a quote of $275 to trim a tree in the front of my house as well as a smaller tree in the rear. I felt the price was very good and scheduled to have the trees trimmed an afternoon in my absence. My neighbor was present when they arrived. She reported that they climbed up the tree but then overheard someone say, and quot;I can't cut this for less than $400.and quot; They then returned to their truck and left with out any work being completed. I only learned this afterwards from my neighbor. Not knowing any of the facts I've cited above I called the company twice that eveing, once speaking with the owner to arrange for the cut. He spoke with me the first time making no mention of climbing up the tree or the comment that was overheard by my neighbor. He did not return subsequent calls. It's remarkable to me that a business man would deal with a customer in this manner given how important and quot;word of mouth advertisingand quot; is for a small business. Had he informed me when we spoke on the phone that evening that he was not able to do the trimming for the quoted price I may have been willing to renegotiate a new price with him. As it turned out, I got another firm from Angie's List to whom I paid $490 for the trimming. This other company did a good job.
