Technician came over very fast, and was very honest

My A/C unit was old and I knew when it broke that I would need a new one. After they young man looked at my unit he wrote a quote that was exceptionally high. I live in a small condo only needing a new unit under 2 ton. His quote to put in a new one was $8,500.00! I was shocked and of course asked why it was so high. The man explained that he had worked on several units in my building and that the only way to get to the compressor to the roof was by a hand pulley. My street doesn't allow a crane. I did not believe that because the building next door had a crane outside. And even then the quote was to high! I had called several different companies after that, here is what i found out.... Everything this man said was a complete lie!!!! 1. My building has an elevator with roof access. Also the compressor will fit in the elevator. So he made that up for extra money. 2. I also got confirmation that a crane can be put on the street. Also another lie. 3. The new unit he quoted me for wouldn't have fit in my closet. So he didn't know what he was doing. I received three other quotes that all came in under $3,500. I would not recommend anyone using this company. They lie to make extra money. The staff is knowledgeable. They are dishonest. Stay clear!

Excellent service!! Will was very professional and answered all our questions. The installation was quick and they cleaned up afterwards. No issues!

Roberto the technician was courteous, respectful, and knowledgeable. He was most professional in all aspects. He found out the problem with our AC (blown capacitor) and replaced it. He suggested to replace the fan motor as well as it's exposed to the elements and didn't seem to be in very good shape (which could have led to the capacitor problems in the first place). He had the part in the van, so I agreed to do that as well. Overall he was done within a couple of hours. About an hour and a half later, I didn't think it was cooling well and called Roberto's mobile. He returned my call promptly and explained it would take three or four hours for it to get to where it was before. True enough, the AC was working fine a couple of hours later! Would definitely use them again.

Direct Air Conditioning was fantastic. They were able to come out and replace my old AC unit the next day. They were professional and did a great job. I would recommend them to all my friends.

Sorry for reviewing so late!! But reviewing now is better than not reviewing at all I hope. Will Gomez came by my house promptly after my call was placed for an inspection of the dysfunctional a/c unit and request for a quote. I selected a Trane a/c unit and removal of the old unit and installation of the new started and was completed on 9/17/2015. Within the promised time and very shortly after I made my selection. Alex, Estevan and Ricardo came to the house at the designated time and I can only highly praise them for their hard work. Since the air handler of my unit is up in the attic it was a very difficult undertaking. Not only to disassemble the old air handler but bring the new one up into the attic. These three gentlemen worked virtually non-stop from early morning until very late afternoon, only taking one very short break. They cleaned up, swept the floor and conducted themselves professional at all times. I had a concern after the installation, called the office and Alex came by the next day to put my mind at ease. I can highly recommend Direct Air and their staff.

An extremely brusque and impolite man answered and immediately began to demand what kind of service I required and the location. I tried to talk between his sentences to tell him that I was returning THEIR request for a call, and that this was an Angie's List purchase, etc. He refused to listen when I tried to give him the order number and just kept talking. When I insisted that he listen to what I was saying he said that someone would call me back and hung up. Another person did call me back in about half an hour. He listened and understood what I was saying about this being related to Angie's List. I told him I wanted the AC unit cleaned and checked out. He said that what I wanted was a "maintenance" call which is $125. The Angie's List coupon we bought for $165 covered two "service" calls in a year meaning that the AC was not functioning. Thus, we would have to pay for a maintenance call and if something was found nonfunctional, they would return and that would be one of the two service calls paid for. Talk about bait and switch!

Everything went fine. The leak stopped and he was very efficient.

The decrease in my electric bill almost completely pays for the monthly payments, and I have a more powerful unit that cools unbelievably! Carlos was the technician arrived on time to give me a quote and service my A/C unit, he was polite and professional. The cost for the A/C cleaning was a little higher than I expected, however I would highly recommend this company and Carlos.

We were please with them, our unit was very old and their sales rep recommended a new unit. We saw a few other companies (others were all much cheaper - half of the price) but my fiancé wanted this particular unit _ TRAIN and so we hired them. They were clean and finished the job promptly within the promised time. The unit works very well and they were very nice to deal with. The only small complaint is that we expected with the new, much better unit our electric bills would go down...they haven't if anything they're a bit higher...but that is nothing to do with the installer. Would definitely use again.

Quoted price was significantly higher than a couple of smaller providers gave me, but since I was replacing the unit as a result of vandalism perpetrated by one such provider, I was willing to pay up for a more reputable firm. Direct Air said they could do the work a few days after the quote. They showed up on time, again polite and professional, and got the job done in about an hour more than anticipated. The space for the air handler was very small and required expansion to fit the machine. The company sent over a carpenter who spent a day and a half doing an excellent job of rebuilding the closet. Highly recommended.

The technician (Pedro) showed up on time and found the problem quickly. Our unit need to have its coils cleaned. Pedro also found out that our outside units needed to have the pipes insulated. It took a couple of hours and the unit worked great afterwards.

Best AC service I have ever had. Jose sent Carlos Estevez out to me on emergency basis to evaluate a problem I have had since Aug 11. They we able to identify issues through conversation with Amana tech support. Got AC going again but were unable to correct problems since not an Amana dealer. They they gave me names and phone numbers of competitors who were Amana dealers so I could proceed. Both Jose and Carlos had best attitudes and professional of any AC guys I have ever worked with. Direct Air deserves more than an A. They are the best I have ever encountered!!!!!

I was not happy with the company, but not the guy who did the work. There was a problem in the way he did the stuff. They tried to bill me extra and I refused to pay it. It was resolved in my favor. The work they did was in accordance with the ad. They just did maintenance. I would tell a friend to make sure they stick to the price that was advertised. Everything was fine except the money.

They called to let me know that they will arrive in 30 min and they did. They came to do the air duct and they show me that the coil was really dirty, so they cleaned. You can tell that they know what they are doing. We are happy with the work they did.

They were messy and careless. The dust from the ducts was falling on my sofa. I asked them to lay something down but they told me it would not go everywhere. However, it pretty much did get everywhere. I did not see the value in this service. It did not fix the dust issues in my house.

I sent them an email requesting a quote and from my initial contact to the time the tech came out they were very professional and let me know the time frame for the estimate and called when the tech was actually on his way. The technician was very knowledgeable and thorough; everything was explained to me in detail. I was very impressed with their professionalism and knowledge.

It was a longer experience than I had expected. The technician came by and said I needed to replace the condensing fan and the capacitor (my a/c is 14 years old). The equipment he needed was at the factory, so they had to send someone else to retrieve it. Although the work was not completed by the promised hour, the technician was VERY apologetic and was willing to offer a discount to offset the frustration. Had it not been for his very sweet demeanor and willingness to listen to my ranting, I would definitely have written this company off and gone with another. In the end, the work was good and I was happy with the price. All companies are subject to human error, but this company truly stands out in the way they correct theirs. I appreciate it.
