Craftsman Hardwood Floors

I would recommend Craftsman Wood Floors to anyone! We had our Brazilian Cherry hardwood floors replaced and refinished Need to be replaced due to water damage from a broken pipe. Arts crew arrived on-time, were friendly, worked quickly and finished the job in timely manner. Our floors look amazing! Art took the time an explained the process... He is a gem! Nice And honest... Trust him! Speaks english! Easy to communicate with. Everyone comments on my how amazing my floors look! Dont hesitate to hire this company.... he will bend over backwoods to make you happy and do the job right!

I made an appointment to review the flooring in a rental building I purchased. Art went through the building and gave me his honest opinion about the type of flooring I would need, even where it would limit the scope of his participation in the job. If I were doing anything regarding wood floors I would definitely use him.He knows his business and is honest and thorough.

We interviewed three companies on Angie's List to refinish all the wood floors in our newly purchased home. We had a difficult situation because the 60 year old house has three types of wood floors. There is oak in the bedrooms, commercial grade pine in the living room and a finish grade pine in the kitchen. Art from Craftsman Floors gave us a detailed explanation about the difficulty of matching the floors and the best choices for an optimum outcome. We chose very dark colors and Art tested the colors on the floor after sanding. We chose the color we preferred and the staining proceeded. The result is a beautiful floor throughout that is a close match in all rooms. After the floors were finished Art showed how to care for them.

Art came out twice to give us advice and an estimate to refinish old wood that we uncovered on the kitchen floor.Also he got under the house and advised us about blocked air vents in our crawl space and how to fix the problem.Third visit was to start the work but after the first sanding with the machine he advised us that there was staining on the wood that we would always be able to see and recommended that we dont progress with the work. He gave us a price for a new hardwood floor but we decided to go with tile. Art is extremely knowledgeable and gave us some great advise, Thanks Art!

They also installed my wood floors about a year ago. They did quality work and knew what they were doing; it was a good company and I liked their work. I will use them again in the future.

They were punctual and hardworking. They prepared my house beautifully and they finished the area that was redone well. They were very pleasant and very efficient. They did a beautiful job and the price was reasonable for the work they did. The quality of service was good. They were excellent on responsiveness, punctuality and professionalism. I will use them in future.

Art was a pleasure to deal with. My only issue was the refinishers who came out were late the first time they came out and had to reschedule at the last minute a few times on their 2nd visit. But the work looks great. I have referred them to several friends.

Art did a fantastic job with our wood floors. They were in pretty bad shape when we bought the house. His team was professional and did the job in about a week. The # of boards we needed to replace due to them being in bad shape ended up being a bit higher but I'd rather get them replaced then leaving them to cause problems later. We asked for several estimates and he was the only one to discuss the difference between an oil and water based finish and the pros and cons of each. We went with water based though it was more expensive. We're very happy with our wood floors now and they look like new!

The outcome of the job initially was not good; hence, they are re-doing the same. The job so far is fine. I will use their services in future.

Art and his crew did a wonderful job. We had 80 year old hardwood and had just finished a reno. Many boards had to be replaced. He made them look like new in 2 days. His guys showed up early and worked late to finish the job. They even installed molding for us. Great work.

Lots of furniture in room... they moved it out and did the job. Upfront that they had a $400 minimum. Only problem was that there was some grit dried in the varnish.

Argelio and his crew came through for me to meet a furniture delivery date that was too late to change. He came out on a Sunday and sacrificed a day off to finish the job as promised. Every visitor to the house compliments "the floor looks great!"

What a great team of guys! They came on time and did an amazing job. Our floors were original to our 60 year old house and they look like new. They were courteous, on time, neat and thorough. We are very pleased with our "new" floors!

We thought we wanted to upgrade to hardwood, but finally decided, only because of the cost, to install carpet. Art was great at working with the noise restriction requirements of our condo and very responsive to our request. If it weren't for the inherent cost of the hardwood and installation, we would have used Craftsman Hardwood.

Overall they did a good job, very professional and did what I asked. They were punctual for all the times we established and had the work completed within the alloted time (actually early). Price was reasonable compared to other estimates and I was happy with their service. I would recommend their service.

They did a good job and they were professional. They were not always punctual. There were a couple of times when they turned up pretty late and we were waiting around for them, but they did call eventually.

They did a great job and took great care in what they were doing. They made a lot of good decisions when it came to choices on the best way to lay the floor. These judgement calls made the floor come out much nicer than I thought it would. Thanks very much. I appreciate their service and experience.

Was great to work with - came out to give a quote on a few days' notice, and was able to begin the work within a week of scheduling. Team was friendly and knowledgeable about the floors, and were prompt. The floors look amazing now - the natural color is beautiful and the wood is perfectly smooth.

Art came immediately when we called and gave us a good education on the woods. He made many trips to give us the exact kind of floor we were looking for. His crew was fast and efficient. I can't say enough good things about this company and Art.

Great job. One year warranty against peeling and cracking. They refinished 2000 sq ft of floor with acrylic urethane. Called them at 8pm and they were there next day at 8am Friday. They finished Monday. Couldn't be happier.

Overall, the work was 95% very good. There was a small area that didn't get finished, though. They said that they were licensed, but it turned out that the license was expired, and they did not ever show me the current license.

Art and his crew really care about hardwood floors. The floors in my house were nearly 100 year old Dade County Pine and were covered by a layer of carpet and old linoleum time in my master bedroom. Most of Miami is tile, so finding someone who can do hardwood floors is difficult. Luckily, Angie's List recommended this company after I e-mailed them, as I was not able to find them just through using the list itself on my computer. These guys showed up on time, quoted me a price, and did exactly what I asked them to do for the price paid. Though you can't see it in these pictures, they also created a flooring inlay where some of the original flooring had been damaged and it turned out fantastic -- like a work of art.

We have used them many times. They did excellent work and were very professional.

Overall, good job! Some problems with installation of the walnut border; at first the design was done improperly, the men had to come back out and redo that work. Also they used a strip of walnut that was lighter than the rest and it did not take up stain like the others. The men are coming back to resand the area and stain it darker to match the existing wood. There also are some areas where the length of wood was inadequate, so they used smaller (1/2 to 1 inch) pieces to fill the gaps which in my opinion is not exactly the best quality. In the end though, the floor looks beautiful. The problems with the border and the stain were addressed in a timely manner and at no extra charge. I would recommend this company; just keep a close eye on the work in progress and voice your concerns as they come along.

Fantastic. They showed up on time or called if they were late. I was worried about all the dust in the house because I had heard horror stories from others. They put up plastic where it was needed and this kept the dust to a minimum. They gave me great recommendations for the floor polyurethane and worked with me to find the proper stain for the floors when they saw that some of the old stains could not be sanded out. The floors look beautiful and I can't believe they aren't a new installation. The stain that they helped me choose minimized the old stains so you can barely notice them. This was a significant problem because the previous owner had put 12" vinyl tiles on the floor and water had leaked into the seams and caused a water stain striped appearance on a large portion of the floors (across the grain). Short of replacing the floors or bleaching them again - which I did not want to do - they came up with the perfect recommendation. I absolutely love the refinished floors and they did a terrific, professional job. I highly recommend this company for anyone wishing to refinish their wood floors.
