Description of Work: I had used Gables several years ago and the experience was great. At that time the tech told me that my Lennox systems were in great shape and they should last for another 10 years. Well, 3 years later, my compressor wouldn't kick on so I went back to Gables. When they arrived I learned that Gables had been bought out by a larger company. The technician looked at my AC compressor and said that I needed a new AC; It wouldn't be worth fixing it. He charged me the $95 for doing nothing and left. This sounded like a scam so I called another company and they ended up replacing a $75 solenoid and it worked fine. To add insult to injury, Gables tried to double bill me two weeks later.

Description of Work: I called them out to do an 89$ summer service. My ac units are 5 and 6 years old. The warranties are for 5 and 10 years. Coral Gables came out and hooked up their gauges, didnt do anything, charged me 89 and gave me a quote for 5540$ to replace the entire system. All my unit needed was a recharge. It leaked out a little bit of freon over 2 1/2 years, and they wanted me to replace my complete system. I had another company come out the next day, he charged it for me, in fact it needed such little freon he did not even charge me. He taught me how to read the serial numbers on the equipment, by the ton-age and the year of the manufacture and was able to register the equipment for my near full warranty (5 and 10 years.)
