They came when they said they would come, they did what they said they would do, and the price was reasonable. Everything was fine.

Chapman Septic Service Inc answered my call, they answered my questions, they came out rather quickly, and they did a good job. I just thought it was great. They were very courteous and very on time. They told me the time that they were going to be here and they were here. Their price was reasonable.

Left a detailed message and never received a return phone call.

The company representatives were punctual and explained the process required for everything from permitting to how the drainfield would be dug and how long the job would take. They started work when they said they would and wrapped up earlier than they had predicted. The crew at the job site took extra time to explain what they were doing and even demonstrated how the equipment worked. Overall, we were satisfied with the job and the extra effort to provide information as they progressed.

We were happy with the service. We got a 20% discount from an Angie's List mailing. The experience was very good. He was attentive and timely and finished the job fast. He was professional. The price was reasonable. The quality was good because everything works.

Prompt, kind attention over the phone. Punctual, knowledgeable crew did its work very quickly. A smaller team arrived early to locate the tank and be ready when the tank-truck arrives. The crew made some suggestions to improve tank maintenance. We will certainly hire them again. Good Angie's recommendation !

Very well as expected

The second company Jason's Septic determined two things: NO new drain field was needed; and the pumping out was not complete since he could see that the main opening to the tank was never opened, just a monitoring hole through which a hose was inserted. I wrote a letter to Mr. Chapman complaining about their service he nicely apologized and refunded our money.

They came out and did what they needed to do; their truck was clean; I was surprised at that. They knew what they were doing and I have not had any problems since. Their price was reasonable; it was about what I expected and I was not surprised. I called them back because I found a depression in my yard. Apparently the top of the septic tank was not put in the right place so they came back out, dug it up and fixed it. I was pleased that they came out again and did not charge me for that.

START TO FINISH WAS PERFECTION

I called them based on their Angie's List ratings. Someone was sent out the very next day. They did a fine job for me. They seemed honest since I don't know anything about septic tanks and they could have told me that I needed a new one. There was a little back and forth about whether they would honor the Angie's List discount they advertise, but I think they will.

Looked on angieslist after trying to contact other contractors recommended by friends/colleagues and getting no response. Found the top rated contractor doing septic tanks. Immediately got in touch, had an appt. for maybe 2 or 3 days later, they arrived on time, inspected the problem, fixed it for far less than I expected including obtaining a needed part, left the site as clean as was possible under the circumstances within a few hours of their arrival. I've had plumbers come to my house and fiddle around doing nothing, yet charging me for their time. This firm is solid and honest.

A plumber I had used a few days before, checked the septic tank and advised me that it was almost full. He suggested that I have it pumped out. He did not recommend anyone to do the job. I checked Angie's list and called Chapman Septic Service. They offered to come out the same day, but I was not available. So, I scheduled an appointment for the following day. The company gave me an estimate of $220 to do the work. About an hour prior to their arrival at my home in Miami, the company called and told me the truck was now on its way to provide the service. About 20 minutes later and about 10 minutes before the appointment time, they arrived and began the work. About 30 minutes later they had completed the work, and covered the tank with the soil that had been removed. The bill was $220, exactly the same as the estimate. However they did talk me into purchasing a gallon jug of a chemical solution (which cost $60) that was supposed to facilitate the work of the septic tank. I was a bit unsure about that, but I decided to purchase it anyway. There was no pressure to purchase it. I paid the bill with a credit card and am definitely pleased with the professional manner in which the service was scheduled and performed.

They did wonderfully; I called a little after 8 this morning and they came; it is done and they are out the door. They were great and I will use them again in the future.

They came recommended. They were slightly highly priced, but I would absolutely use them again.

It was a pleasure to have them doing the work. They were fantastic. They were responsive. They did a good job. They were great to work with. The one thing they don’t do is take care of the turf afterwards. They had fair pricing.

They did an excellent job and they were very nice.

Each time the septic tank backed up into the bathtubs. In 1993, the Chapman guy found the septic tank approximately half full of dirt, apparently from a broken septic tank lid, resulting from a contractor who rebuilt our house after Hurricane Andrew ran over the tank with a bobcat. He dug, hosed, dug some more for close to an hour to loosen that dirt, then pumped it out along with the usual contents, but only charged us for the pumpout. At this time my husband went to Homestead ( at the instructions of the Chapman guy) to purchase a new septic tank lid, which was installed to replace the broken lid. In 1997, following the pumpout, the Chapman guy noticed that one side of the septic tank (fortunately the side away from the drainfield) has a small break, above the water line and he repaired it- using, I believe, CBS and mortar. I think he charged maybe $75 extra for that. With the other visits, we thought most likely the backups were due to blockages in a common line to the tank, as the toilets, bathtubs and showers would back up. We figured this was due to a combination of teenagers and mother living in the house, all of whom tended to use wads of toilet paper and flushed who knows what down the toilets, and low water flow toilets. This usually turned out to be the case. The septic guy always checked these lines, sometimes went up on the roof to check the vent line, and always cleared the blockages. He'd always check the septic tank too, and pump it out if it needed it, or would inform us it didn't need it and wouldn't pump in that case. He always billed just for the work that was done. We've called Chapman Septic Services at night ( usually a message), and they've always gotten back to us promptly, at the latest early the next AM. They've scheduled a visit as soon as possible- generally within two hours or less after they call. Without exception, their employees have always been prompt, professional, and taken care of whatever the problem has been. I will use their services again, and would recommend them to anyone without reservation. These people are great!

Service went well. Came on time and completed within an hour.

Work was performed as scheduled. No problems. Total charge was $ 220.00 but I had a $ 20.00 discount coupon from The Home Mag magazine and they deducted that amount from the bill.

Very much focused on the money, while service is aweful. Chapman employee came, determined after 5 min that tank leaks, still charged $ 190 as if it would have been a full inspection, and did not even properly close the lid to the tank. I had to stop him in his car, in order for him to get back and properly close the hole he dug out. Very lousy customer service attitude.

Did the work very quickly, in fact, I showed up at the house one day and all the bulldozers, and stuff was there. I didn't even expect the work to start till like a week later. They got the work done in like 5 days, which was awesome.
