 + -1 moreI was sure I was going to have to dispose of this vacuum. I took it too Peter at Caribbean and the repair was minor and affordable. Dropped it off on a Monday and it was ready for pick up on Wednesday! I recommend this company, this is what they focus on (vacuum repairs) and they do excellent work.

Description of Work: I had a 12 year old Miele vacuum cleaner with a broken connector between the hose and handle. The gentleman at Caribbean ordered my new part and patched my vacuum so I could use it until the part came in. He gave an accurate estimate of how long it would take to get the part (only three days!) and promptly called me when it came in. I was very satisfied with the service.

 + -1 moreHave taken my vac cleaner here for repairs many years now with generally good success. But recently I took off time from work on a busy Tues morning to pickup my repaired machine, only to find the shop closed. This cost me over an hour's delay to get back to work, and no vacuum to boot. There was no sign on door. Nobody answering the phone. Just closed w/o any explanation. I resent the wasted time/effort. My suggestion: CALL BEFORE YOU GO THERE.

Description of Work: Peter at Caribbean is an honest man who takes pride in the products he sells and the service and pricing at Caribbean is spot on. Peter sold me my Rainbow Vacuum cleaner in 1986 when I was just a young married girl of 26. I have had the Rainbow for 28 years now, and it is still going!! Fortunately, Peter and Caribbean Distributing are too! The Rainbow is absolutely the best vacuum cleaner made. I had 5 vacuum cleaners before it, but have never had to have another. Yes, they are pricey, but buy it once and you won't be replacing it ever year or two as you do when you buy other brands (I won't name them). Rainbows are incredibly powerful, reliable, durable and give a consistently excellent, dust-free performance. With occasional servicing you will get a lifetime out of this machine. Count on Caribbean!

 + -1 moreThe experience at this shop went very well. They not only do service but also sell new equipment. The technician knew his "stuff" and the salesman showed me other options should I ever need a new vacuum cleaner. I had another old vacuum cleaner with me that I needed to discard and they said to just leave it outside their shop for disposal pickup. I would definitely go to this shop again.
Description of Work: The power head attachment for our Electrolux canister vacuum was not working. Brought the vacuum set to the shop and the technician diagnosed the problem within minutes. He quickly got the parts needed from his extensive inventory of parts and replaced the broken parts from my unit. I was in and out of the shop within 10 minutes which included the actual processing of the credit card payment.

 + -1 moreMy carpet cleaning machine's rotating brushes had quit rotating. The place in South Dade where I used to take my machine had disappeared. There aren't too many repair shops left in Miami, so I was relieved to Find Caribbean Distributing Co. in the phone book. Despite their funny-sounding name, they are a full-service, old-fashioned repair shop. They also sell all sorts of vacuums and carpet cleaners, including the really high-end models you've never heard of Rainbows, but the regular stuff they have for sale is priced well, less than Best Buy in some cases). Peter Colon is a friendly guy who loves to talk. They took my machine in on a Wednesday (the same day I called) and I got it back on Friday. I thought the $37 repair bill was really reasonable. The machine works fine now. And, the next time I purchase a vacuum or carpet cleaning machine, I'll buy it from Caribbean Distributing Co. for sure.
