We had to clear our schedule to make sure someone was home, but no one ever showed up or called. This is unacceptable.

Dear Bob. Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, you are wrong on several points. I'll take just a minute to highlight a few for those interested in an accurate review. 1) Jennifer's nursery was referred by you. I was very happy with them and still use their services on occasion. On one occasion, however, they did cut my entire lawn with a TRIMMER, which may be what you mean when you talk about cutting the lawn too short. He did replace some plants and did several new plantings for me...and even worked on other properties that I own. So If they "quit" me, its the first I've heard of it. Besides, I've never head of a landscaper complaining about getting paid to....landscape. 2) Your employee was the one who told me he "burned" the yard. I didn't make that up. 3) I paid Bob's Bugs several hundred dollars. I have the receipts to prove it. So your record keeping must be...disorganized? 4) On one occasion, I observed your serviceman access my yard, plant a "Bob's Bug - poison warning" sign and then leave without doing any treatment whatsoever. If you personally came to my house a lot, I only saw you at the most 3 times. 5) You reportedly left a pamphlet in my mailbox about a supposed service of UF. If you left it, I never found it although I really wanted it. But what does leaving a pamphlet about another service really have to do with Bob's Bugs? 6) It is possible that I overwatered, underwater, obstructed the sunshine, allowed too much sunshine, didn't plant the right plant in the right area of the yard, have grubs, have white-fly, have fungus, cut the yard too short, let it get too long, etc... YES....although I don't believe I've done any of those things as the lawn is improving with the thoughtful support of another pesticide company. So in that way, maybe I wasn't a reliable PARTNER as you understand it....thats possible....but, if I knew all those things you say I was responsible for, then why would I ever need you? I hired a "professional" to manage my lawn. I even used your lawn company for that purpose. I'm not a lawn expert....thats why I hired Bob's Bugs and your referred lawn maintenance crew. And now, conveniently for Bob's Bugs, Bob's Bugs is not responsible. For those interested in knowing more about this review, rest assured everything I've said here is the truth to best that I know it. You can call me to discuss, or with any questions. 305 741 5674. Angie's List belongs to the consumer. My review is not personal. But no doubt about it, in my experience Bob's Bugs over promised and under delivered...as a result, I don't use their services any more....that simple. And if you consider using their services, just understand that Bob's Bugs wants a PARTNER....who is an expert in lawn care and if your lawn doesn't do well, the fault is with the customer...oooppss....I meant, PARTNER.

I'm not going to get into specifics but I will touch a few points of this review. Your comment about having a landscaper complaining about getting paid to do their job may seem like common sense. But some folks take pride in their job. I know I do. I've walked away from jobs because all the work I did (while getting paid) was being undone by the customer's complete disregard for my recommendations. While it may seem that we shouldn't care what a person does with their property as long as we're getting paid...my reputation means more to me than what I can make from one customer. If a customer is scalping their lawn and allowing weeds to overtake the yard, then to the casual observer, it may look like we are causing that. I've said before that we have relationships...not necessarily customers. I do believe that I PARTNER with every one of my customers. It's not different than a doctor suggesting your take an aspirin every day to keep your heart in check, or a police officer telling your to drive slower to avoid a ticket. We aren't there 24 hours a day, and the things that customers do have a direct affect in what we do. I stand by that, and I think my customers appreciate it. As for you paying hundreds of dollars...That's a pretty large range. We serviced your property 16 times...I can assure you that the hundreds you claim were not enough to pay for all those services. Services that we completed in an effort to make you happy. It was only after I told you that I had to start charging you for future visits that you posted this review. As for the University of Florida pamphlet you claim to have never received...I left one in your mail box and one in your door. Along with business cards. What does that have to do with us, you ask? Well...it was an effort in educating you and helping you out with the watering of your lawn. A free service by the University of Florida. We work closely with the University and they have many programs that can educate homeowners with regards to irrigation, plants, and insects. You mention that it's possible that you did all those things and were clearly being sarcastic. Again, we cannot be there 24 hours a day making sure that you are maintaining the property. We have many, many reviews here on Angie's List. There have been times where a property owner and I have not seen eye to eye. There have been times where we have made mistakes and we have done our best to remedy them. There have also been times where we have had to walk away from a job. The one thing that I do not appreciate it someone questioning our integrity and professionalism. You mention that you saw me at most 3 times. I visited your property at least 6 times. You had provided the access to the property because you were seldom available when we needed to service your property. Every time I visited I either saw you personally or called you and left a message. I take great offense to you suggesting that my employee simply dropped off a sign rather than treat the property. Can't provide details since I was not present. However, they did persist in co-ordinating an appointment with the tenant. They did not try to upsell. Nor did they ask me to sign a contract for monthly service. They did take care of the probllem with 3 visits. I expect the roaches will return and I will call them to come in again.

Technician was prompt and professional. In addition to spraying, he provided some advice on sealing drains to keep bugs out. First spray didn't take (we saw ants within 30 days) but they came out after we called and sprayed again at no cost.

The whole transaction went really well. Calling and scheduling the appointment was easy, and Bob was very flexible when finding the best time to pass by our home. He also gave us pointers to avoid major household pests, and since the day of service we havent had any issues. The first appointment we scheduled had to be re-scheduled due to the technicians personal schedule. The second appointment went well. They showed up, they were professional and they did the job. No more palmettos=happy me!

Bob was wonderful. He came the day after I called and accommodated my work schedule which was very much appreciated. I was freaked out over lots of droppings coming from the false ceiling of a bay window and accumulating on the windowsill. He explained what it was, closed the entrance hole and went around the outside of the house explaining what I could do to keep carpenter ants from reentering the house. I felt so much better after he left and he followed up his visit with a letter listing our choices for keeping our home pest free going forward - no hard sell, just good information and choices. He is a class act and a pleasure to do business with. I highly recommend him.
Description of Work: Evaluated the bedroom where we noticed an accumulation of unexplained droppings that were giving us the creeps.

I scheduled my initial appointment with Bob's Bugs, however, there was in error in the day that the appointment was scheduled. After calling the office and discovering that they had made an error, I was really impressed by how they handled the situation. The customer service was excellent and once they came to spray our house they were diligent. I would definitely recommend them to a friend!

Bob came out to the house and was willing (and happy) to spend time with me inspecting the entire house and lawn. He was very knowledgeable and covered a lot of things a new homeowner should know about - including landscaping, roofing vents, white fly, and when best to tent. He really enjoys his work and it shows. He was not pushy and in fact recommended waiting for certain services instead of trying to get us to buy everything now. When it was time to spray we called him up and someone was out to the house in a matter of days. The man they sent was very nice, courteous, and informed us of any safety concerns as my pregnant wife and I were both present at the time.
Description of Work: We are renovating a house we just bought and needed to have someone come out and inspect. After inspection, they provided us a good quote and timeframe to spray the inside and outside of the house. We also signed up for their bi-monthly service.

I am not really thrilled with my experience. I told him what areas I needed sprayed in my home. The technician was nice and he was here right away. He was here maybe 15 minutes and the price was too expensive. However, I still have bugs in my home.

I contracted them to come and spray my house because we had seen roaches. I stressed that the garage was the worst place. They came promptly (even though a fumbled on the address... Ave instead of terrace...they sprayed thoroughly. Now however I just saw some bugs in the garage and have reached out to bob's bugs to come back and redo the service because they advertised it was guaranteed within 30 days. Now is their big chance to prove it. Keep your fingers crossed. I will be reposting with the results. UODATE: after this review Bob's bugs called me up right away to setup an appointment at my earliest convenience to do the work over again. We agreed on a time and the tech showed up on time. We happened to not hear his knocking so the tech did what he could outside the house and around the property and we have only seen dead bugs since. Thank you bob's bugs I would highly recommend you to anyone in need of this service.

Bob's Bugs sprayed our house and 2.5 acre property for ticks. We purchased the property as a foreclosure and found that it had a massive tick infestation. We could see hundreds of ticks climbing up the outside walls and into the covered porch ceiling. It was like a scene out of a horro movie!! Bob's Bugs came out right away and killed all of them. He was very considerate of our dogs and waited for us to take them a good distance from the property before he started spraying. He was extremely professional and friendly. We called him back twice more ($150.00 each time) to kill the next two cycles of tick eggs hatching. He gave us his card and a ton of helpful information and instructions for us to start doing the spraying ourselves to save us money. I recommended Bob's Bugs to my friends who encountered tick problems in Miami and Homestead and they both had nothing but great things to say about their experiences with this company.

I have had infestations in my own home and I can tell you that they are difficult to kill. They key is to be consistent and thorough. Ticks are resistant and their eggs are almost invulnerable to everything. The only way to get rid of them is to kill off each generation as it hatches in order to interrupt the breeding cycle. If you miss a treatment by a day or two it could cause you to go back to square one. Thank you for sharing our information with your friends. Lionel with Bob's Bugs was very prompt on returning to the bee hive location to perform a second spray/removal. He came out the next day after my phone call stating that some bees had returned to the hive within a few days after the original visit. So far and since the second visit, no more bees are appearing. Everyone at Bob's is very efficient, professional, prompt and nice. I will use them again and when needed.

I can tell you that Bob's Bugs does excellent work and we are very happy with their service. The last service from them was about one month ago. We have a service contract with them and I think it is 60 dollars every 2 months or something like that. We have been using this company for several years.

The service provided was excellent. Communications was of the highest degree. The removal/extermination of the bee hive was swift. Lionel and Armando are very professional and because of the excellent service I am now considering using their organic lawn pest control service.
