Outstanding...from the initial meeting to discuss my roofing needs to the final closeout of all paperwork Al was expeditious, courteous and very detailed about the work and materials that were required to complete this task. During our initial meeting I asked Al if he and his team could also replace my soffet and fascia. He informed me that yes, they could and also priced that for me. After we were finished discussing the requirements and the specifics of those prices, Al was able to provide with a quote of actual cost. As I reviewed his quote to me, I saw that he had itemized each and every task and material that would be required to complete the job. After I read all the verbiage of the quote I got to the bottom line. I was amazed (and pleased) to notice that Big Al's quote was at least $1000.00 less expensive than the other roofing companies I had inquired to (and that INCLUDED the replacement of the soffet and fascia). After I was done reviewing the quote Al was kind enough to stay and discuss some questions and clarify some points that I had with a job so large. One of those issues was the paperwork that is required by the city / county. Al assured me that he would take care of everything...and in retrospect, thankfully he did. To ease my concerns, Al assured me that he would be on site the day the work commenced and whenever possible stay throughout the job. On the day of the old roof removal Al and his team arrived promptly at the agreed upon time and went directly to work. They completed the roof removal on that same day. And everything else after that fell right into place. After the roof removal, required quality inspections by the city, the installation of the new roofs (flat and pitched), and the replacement of the soffet and fascia, I could not have been happier. Usually the actual result never meets, lone enough exceeds ones expectations, however, when I saw the finished product, I concluded that the finished roofs were even better than I could of hoped for and honestly expected. Al and his team even took care of closing out all of the paperwork with the city. In conclusion, I HIGHLY recommend Big Al's roofing to anybody who is in need of a repaired roof or replaced roof. One piece of advice, please be open and honest with Al, engage him into discussing the project (both pricing and work required). And if you need it Al also makes himself available to you via voice or text anytime to keep you informed of every step of the job. As I say, people can do a lot of things, but reading minds is not one of them. Unless you are a roofing professional yourself, there is no way you can know the amount of details that are required to complete a job like this. Thank you for your time and good luck.

Big Al's Roofing was referred to us by an interior decorator that we used. Big Al's Roofing gave us a very competitive price, was good about sticking to the time frame that was initially laid out, constantly kept us updated by sending us pictures shot with his drone, and his crew were able to work quickly and cleanly. The crew even took their time to lay out roof tiles in a consistent pattern, which really won my wife over. I would highly recommend Big Al's Roofing to others.

Price was very fair, they also noticed another spot on the roof that needed immediate attention, which they also repaired. Professional work, friendly and responsive customer service. Al was prompt and very honest. I discovered the blisters on the flat portion of my roof when I was up there sweeping off leaves from a large shade tree to avoid any damage by the leaves when they get wet from rain and just sit there. Al pointed out that the blisters were probably caused by moisture when the roof was first completed and as long as I did not have a leak (which I do not) to not worry and just monitor if they get larger or a leak occurs. He said this could stay the same way indefinitely and that some commercial roofs have many of these "blisters" without leaks. He also let me know that if I wanted him to open them up and reseal the areas he would for a fee of about $500-$600. But recommended leaving it and monitoring.

Great!!! We have used Big Al's before and it all went well, from Christina taking our call, Mario coming out to review the problem, and Oliver finding and repairing the leak. All done within a few days of our initial call.

Al got the workers started immediately after signing the contract. But the process was hindered because the house needed to be fumigated for termites. This had to be done after removal of the old roof, replacement of any damaged wood, and placement of the felt. This caused a gap in the process, but the timing was important so that the workers for the fumigating company would be done BEFORE installation of the metal roof. Al recommended that that would be a better way so as not to damage the new metal by having people walk on it. There were a few other glitches caused by one supplier, the crew, and the fumigation process; all which were unforeseen and tested the patience of both of us. None the less, Al corrected all issues, went the extra mile by upgrading one of the products (fasteners) as I requested, and got the job done to my liking. The roof is beautiful and I'm very pleased.

He was very punctual and professional. Came out immediately, gave me a fair price and was extremely professional. Did not actually use his services for reasons out of his control. but was very confident he would have done an excellent job.

From beginning to end they did everything great including being responsive to our calls and follow up visit. Al gave us a fair price and promptly completed the work. They advised us some of the problem areas were hard to determine exactly where the leak was coming from and to let them know if there was any more water. After the next rain we noticed some water in one of the same areas, called them and they came out the same day and addressed the issue. No more leaks!

Mr Hernandez and his crew were very efficient in their work which was of good quality and materials. He kept me informed from start to finish step step for the entire process. We bought a house and it immediately needed a brand-new roof. We contacted Al and he immediately came in with an aggressive quote. He promised that he would have the services done within a certain time and did exactly that. The roof looks great and our neighbors have requested Al's contact info after seeing it. I would recommend anyone viewing this article to give Al a shot. You will not regret it.

It was a pleasure doing business with this company.The job was done in a timely manner using quality materials by true professionals and Mr.Hernandez made sure to let me know what to expect as their work progressed.They also did an excellent job of removing all debris,I even noticed one worker taking the time to scrape up a bit of hot tar that had accidentally spilled even though it wasn`t even on my driveway,but outside of my fenced property.I would definitely recommend Big Al`s to anyone looking for a quality roofing job at a fair price.

Big Al's did a great job, Alvaro, the owner and a partner came at the time he told me, inspect my roof, and fixed in less than an hour. He even fix places that we did knew was in bad shape, so there will be no problem in the future. Very nice guy. I'm glad that I found a roofer in case I need one In the future. He was on the site each day and answered our questions. He and crew didn't damage my roses or plants. That crew kept the area clean and free of construction debris. Al kept us updated in person and by phone on work done and inspections needed and passed. Work done timely fashion. Price was within expected range for 50year roof and new porch roof. We are very pleased!

Requested a quote for roofing certificate. Vendor was honest that he had no availability and did follow up to see if I got everything square.

Al did a great job coordinating removal of the old roof, prep for the new roof, and installing new roof, all under county inspection and approval. Al was very price competitive, patient and knowledgeable, and worked with us to find the right tile for our roof. Kept the area around the house clean; his crews got in, did their work efficiently, and left. Roof looks great.

I can't say enough about Big Al's Roofing. Something that I was expecting to be a big hassle was probably the easiest job I've had done to my house. Big Al responded to my first email so fast that I thought it was an automated response. He shows up early for appointments and has great communication skills. I always knew where we were on the job and what was next, the job was even started two days earlier than expected. His crews also showed up on time and ready to work, they were all very polite and did a great job cleaning up after themselves each and every day, my back porch and driveway were cleaner when they left than when they started. They were prepared for our South Florida downpours and had tarps laying around the perimeter of the house just in case and when it did rain the house was covered quickly. Most importantly my roof looks fantastic and it was done in a very timely manner. I would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them.

I actually never met Alvaro Hernandez, the owner of Big Al's Roofing, in person because I was out of town traveling. My tenants had called about a leak at my rental property. I got in touch with Alvaro who then very promptly went to the property, thoroughly checked and called to give me an estimate for repairs. He set up a date to do the repairs and because I was out of town, sent me detailed pictures of the progress and completion of all work done. Alvaro is a great communicator, professional and his prices are reasonable.

contacted company in Angie's list by email and they responded right away, made appointment to look at what was needed to repair roof. Appointment was for next day, came on time to inspect the work needed, Al explained the work needed and the time it would take so when he gave me a price I accepted right away because I felt he was competent and the price was reasonable to the amount of time it would take him. Al call me back the next day to let me know he would be there on Monday to start the work, they were and they completed the leak in the roof and came the following day to finish the fascia. Can't say enough how satisfied I am.

Al fit my roofing job into his schedule as soon as was possible. He and his team came out early on a Friday morning, worked until late afternnoon, came back early Saturday morning, and finished the job by early that afternnon. It was very well done, and this was all taken care of just before rainy season, so I'm very grateful and satisfied with the finished project.

Al was very professional and personable. He spoke to me before he came to my house about what my needs were and suggested that he give a free estimate rather than have me pay for a service that may not solve my issues. All was very prompt and called to confirm his arrival time. He gave a fair price and did not push for a complete re-roof, which I am certain a less honest company may do. There were six areas that needed to be repaired and several had been repaired previously. The crew showed up right on time and worked through the entire day, even staying until after 5 PM. They cleaned up after they were finished and even painted the fascia board that they had to replace. The only issue was that they missed some hairline cracks that leaked after the torrential rains we had the following week. I contacted Al and he and one of his crew came out the following morning, pulled up additional tiles and fixed the issue right away. I''ve had a number of roof issues over the years and have been shocked with the bad attitudes and over charging that other roofers have demonstrated. It was a pleasure to work with Al and his crew and I would not hesitate to use them again.

Outstanding. He did not try to sell me anything in addition to theroof tune-up, which is refreshing here in South Florida. Roof looks great. I will without reservation use Big Al's for future needs, and to eventually replace my roof. He showed up as promised and gave me a 30 minute time frame (unusual---most others say morning or afternoon).
