The provider was very nice and answered all my questions. When he left he said that he would write up his recommendations and cost. I never received any follow up from the company.

It went great. He was willing to work with us and our small budget finding ways to make it possible to get the job done. The kitchen looks amazing.

This has been a horrible experience. We hired Bruce to remodel our bathroom, then asked him to do other jobs for us. There is an issue with everything he touched in our home. The bathroom he started in August 2014 is still not finished - 16 months later. Other projects that were started but never finished include: interior door, front door, garage door, outdoor plumbing fixture. I have never been more disappointed with work done in my home or the level of professionalism displayed by Bruce. They don't show up when appointments are made, show up without making appointments and caused damage the last four times they come to my home. Bruce did not take responsibility for the damage caused. Last time Bruce was at my home he accused me of causing the damage to the bathroom door that was installed backwards and he caused even more damage by adding additional screws to the frame which did not fix the problem. To date, none of the projects were finished nor the damage repaired. Buyer BEWARE!

Great experience, great work. Bruce and his crew were very responsive, very professional, and took the time to make sure the work was done right, including correcting mistakes made by other contractors when the home was originally renovated. Both bathrooms look great.

I did not use him - by the time I got his quote, I had contacted another outfit for a quote that was substantially below that of BG.

I had no problems with them. I felt the price was fair for the service.

It wasn't really what we had in mind. The service was okay but we're not going with their services. They were very helpful. They gave some insights. I think its like anyone else, what I have in mind just wasn't really in the ballpark of what they were suggesting. It was nice. We're still undecided. They just didn't convince us that this is what we went to do right now.

I asked if possible for Bruce to arrive earlier than our appointment time for a consultation in my home. He accomodated the request, was suitably dress, was interested in hearing my thoughts, and provided input on changes I might want to consider in the main bathroom.

It was fine. We'll probably get the kitchen remodeled. We just haven't been able to get anything scheduled between then and now. Everything was fine with them. We're going to use the guy. He is going to come out and do the kitchen. I will ask him to remodel every kitchen I have.

After approval of the plans, Bruce and his crew pulled the permit jacked up the porch roof that was sagging under the weight of the roof tiles, did the demolition, structuring of the concrete trough for the curb, pouring of the concrete, rebuilding of the wooden frame and re-screening.

They guy that runs the business is Bruce. He’s a really nice guy. He sent another guy to do the job who was also very nice. He did a good job.

It went bad! Design = Bad! No recommendation in terms of materials, colors or anything. Never followed up and also never asked what we had in mind. Pure Crap!

I contacted BG Building based on reviews from Angie's and made an appointment with the owner, Bruce. He arrived promptly at the time we agreed on and surveyed the project thoroughly: An abandoned kitchen remodel from a previous contractor that needed repairing/finishing, walling up an exterior door, opening a separate exterior door and demolition/reconstruction of a wooden garage loft. He asked pertinent questions, took exacting measurements and provided informative feedback on what could be done to repair the project as it stood as well as the proper way said repairs would be accomplished. Within two days I had an e-mailed estimate that was precisely detailed with all the points we had discussed and all the labor and materials clearly indicated. The only issue I had was a start date that would have delayed the project by a couple of weeks, which was certainly not his fault as he had already alloted his work schedule to previous commitments. I was impressed by Bruce's thoroughness, knowledge and professionalism and would use him for future projects, allowing better advance planning of my own schedule so our timetables would coincide more suitably.

Professional. That is the HIGHEST praise anyone can say of a contractor. I had a small project; the wooden beams in my front porch needed to be replaced. This small project became a permitting nightmare with the county. Bruce stayed in contact with me constantly, coming over personally to go over all the items the county required. He called constantly or texted immediately. Once the county finally gave me the green light, his team finished the project immediately and it passed inspection. I WILL use this company again.

proposed design was very poor!!!

They were really nice and we went through everything that we needed but we ended up using somebody else. I think their estimate is a bit higher. They were nice and courteous.

As of today I have not received the design that they were paid to deliver.

I would use Bruce again, he did everything he said he was going to do, and he was a perfectionist at getting it all done.

Bruce did all that was promised. Owing to having to do an upgrade and change of location of an electrical panel that in this old house would no doubt open cans and cans of worms, we elected to put the money that was to go into the kitchen into updating other parts of the house. Bruce could not have been nicer, more professional not to mention he knows his business. In the event we revisit renovating the kitchen, we would definitely be calling Bruce.

There really aren't enough good things to say about Bruce and his team! Reliable, on-time, professional, neat, clean, organized, detailed, excellent communication, honest?these are all qualities you hope to find in a contractor but most of the time don't. As first-time homeowners, my husband and I were scared to death to begin updates and remodeling on our 1960's home. We interviewed several contractors and got a bunch of quotes and it wasn't until we met Bruce that we knew he was going to be our guy. Work began 12/27 and they haven't stopped since. When Bruce says 8:30am, he actually means 8:20am. He has never arrived late. The work is done to perfection and if anything seems just slightly off, Bruce will find it and fix it. We thought our house would be upside down and the mess is so minimal we are more than pleased. The dust is kept to a minimum and everything is cleaned and put away every single night. As new homeowners, we consider ourselves very lucky to have found someone who not only we trust but that does grade A, top quality work! Bruce's team is also fantastic! Guys are kind, clean and organized. I leave my house for hours at a time and always feel like my home is in good hands. Bruce is constantly in/out so he's always triple checking work. This is the first phase of updates to our place and we are confident that Bruce will be the guy to handle phase 2 as well when we begin in the summer. I recommend BG Building Group without reservation for any home improvement project you may have!

I cannot speak too highly of the service that Bruce provided. I do not wish to go into details, but I contacted Bruce at a time when my partner was suffering from a serious illness, & the Homeowners insurance on my property had been cancelled - I was abroad at the time. It was a time of major stress & anxiety. Once I returned to the USA the work commenced. Throughout it all Bruce advised, guided & supported me, so that the required repairs were done, he took great care in finding exactly the right materials, & he also recommended other companies who could help me with various other problems which presented themselves. Bruce & his tradesmen were at all times punctual, professional, helpful & worked cleanly. I am completely satisfied , & impressed, by the service & the standard of care & craftsmanship .
