+ -1 moreThe roof job took forever to finish. They started the job in March 22 and finished in July 2006. Also the job was done very unprofessional, we had water inside the house. We called the office and they said they were coming, but we would wait for them and they wouldn't show up until days after. We still have a water leak. We call Mr. Burke and he said he is coming, but he has not shown up. We have a contract the says we have a warranty for seven years, but it is like nothing to this people. I very upset, nobody has any solutions for me.

+ -1 morePATRICK BURKE, OWNER OF B & B, WAS VERY CORDIAL AT THE CONTRACT SIGNING, BUT AFTER THAT I COULD NEVER REACH HIM PERSONALLY. THE OFFICE ASSISTANTS HAD EXCUSE AFTER EXCUSE AND WHY THE WORK WASN'T BEING DONE, BUT ONCE THE SHINGLES WERE ON, LATASHA & APRIL WERE AT MY HOUSE EVERY DAY FOR THE FINAL PAYMENT. B & B DIDN'T HAVE A DUMPSTER FOR TRASH. I TOLD THEM I WOULDN'T PAY THE BALANCE UNTIL THE FINAL INSPECTION WAS APPROVED. PATRICK BURKE REMOVED A GOOD LADDER AND PUT A TATTERED ALUMINUM LADDER WITH THE PERMIT OUT FOR THE INSPECTOR ON 7/23/06. THE FINAL INSPECTION FAILED ON 7/26/06 DUE TO THE LADDER NOT MEETING OSHA REQUIREMENTS, DEBRIS ON ROOF, & NO IN PROGRESS INSPECTION WAS EVER DONE. I CALLED B & B THAT SAME DAY AND HEARD ALOT OF PROFANITY AND ANGER FROM PATRICK BURKE. SO NOW I'M WAITING FOR APPROVAL FOR THE FINAL INSPECTION AND HAVEN'T HEARD A WORD FROM B & B SINCE HE PICKED UP THE FAILED PERMIT PAPERS AND HIS LADDER ON 7/29/06. THAT TIME HE DIDN'T ASK FOR PAYMENT!
Description of Work: ON 3/13/06, I SIGNED A CONTRACT AT MY HOME WITH THE OWNER OF B & B ROOFING, PATRICK BURKE, FOR $5,450 FOR A ROOF REPLACEMENT. AT THAT TIME, MR. BURKE REQUESTED A DEPOSIT OF $2,725, WHICH I GAVE HIM IN A CHECK. I WAS TOLD AT THAT TIME THAT THE ROOF WORK WOULD BEGIN IN 1 WEEK. WEEK AFTER WEEK I CALLED AND SPOKE TO THE OFFICE ASSISTANTS, SHARON, LATASHA, & APRIL. I WAS ALWAYS TOLD MANY STORIES, SUCH AS THEY WERE BEHIND SCHEDULE DUE TO THE RAIN, THERE WAS A FAMILY EMERGENCY, A WORKER FELL OFF A ROOF, CITY OF MIAMI GARDENS WAS STALLING THE PERMIT, BUT THE WORK WOULD BEGIN NEXT WEEK. ON 6/5/06, I CALLED B & B AND SPOKE TO SHARON AND TOLD HER I WANTED TO RECIND THE CONTRACT AND GET MY DEPOSIT OF $2725 BACK. ON 6/6/06, PATRICK AND 3 OF HIS WORKERS CAME TO BEGIN THE ROOF WORK. ON 6/13/06, THE 1ST ROOFING INSPECTION WAS DONE AND APPROVED. WAITED FOR SHINGLES, WHICH ARRIVED ON 7/16/06. SHINGLES COMPLETED 7/18/06. FINAL INSPECTION DONE ON 7/26/06, FAILED!

+ -1 moreThis is my first experience with a contractor taking my money and avoiding me. Whenever I visit his business he's never there. Some one who told me about this quack.
Description of Work: The company performed nothing and keep my money. I give a deposit on December 2005 the sum of $3500.00, which I have my receipt. Whenever I called he is avoiding me and the secretary said their is nothing she can do for me. I have a disabled husband and a nine year old child. If rain comes my house will leak terrible. I need help in this timely matter. Sometimes I cannot sleep because I have no one to turn to except a co-worker said to email Angie and I should get some positive answer. I found out from the building department that my permit was pulled in January on someone else name. Is that ligit for contractor to do on someone house.
