Lazaro and his assistant George came to my condo to installed a new ice maker as mine wasn't making ice. I was super impressed at how patient Lazaro was with my One Miami condo mgmt office - they have such stringent criteria for all trademen and deliverymen coming into the condo that it borders on being ridiculous. It took Lazaro time to sort it out and be allowed up to my apt. He and George were very professional and did the job quickly. I paid him $300+ . A day later, the fridge was leaking and Lazaro came back and informed that the fridge needs a new motor that will cost another $300 - $400 and my total repair bill will be in the $700s . His advice was to buy a new fridge as my current fridge is already 15 years old and the new fridge will have a warranty. AND Lazaro offered to refund me the $300+ I had paid him for installing the new icemaker! He said I only need to pay him the service call fee. He just texted me to say that he has processed the refund and it should show up in my credit card in 2-3 days. I have never met such an honest man! Lazaro has definitely restored my faith in all repairmen. Thank you Lazaro! You are the best!

The problem was diagnosed quickly and the repair was made ahead of schedule since the part did not take as long as anticipated to arrive.

This is the third time I asked help from Lazaro and I am extremely satisfied. He is efficient, honest and responsible. I have a dryer and it couldn't start in January because the start switch is broken. Lazaro is very experienced and fix it quickly and charge reasonably. Then in June the cooktop was cracked. He patiently answer all my questions and directly recommended me to buy a new range from a store because it is cheaper to buy a new appliance than to fix the old one. This week, he came on time upon request to identify the reason that the dryer does not dry. It turns out that the vent is clogged for the second time this year. I immediately reminded my tenants to be more careful cleaning the drying lint/filter. Overall, Lazaro provide a one top service if you have big appliance broken.

Lazaro Polanco is extremely knowledgeable, professional and honest. He and his son (Jorge) came out to examine our machine, took it apart quickly and were able to discover the problem. Unfortunately, he recommended that we buy a new machine rather than try to track down a very difficult and probably costly short that was causing our woes. I know he would be capable of fixing it (he said as much), but his honest assessment was that the repair would probably cost about as much as a new machine. He charged us only $65 for the visit, which is incredibly reasonable. Both Mr. Polanco and his son were friendly and in constant communication with us from start to finihs. He even called us on a holiday (July 4th) to set up our house call, though he was on vacation until the next day. Will definitely hire again if we have any appliance problems! Top notch!

Lazaro called to tell me they were on their way. He came with another guy since it required moving and lifting stacked washer and dryer out of a very small closet space. They fixed the washer and put back in closet and all was well. I also had a problem with my dryer, it was snagging my clothes. Lazaro vacumned out the inside under filter and the lint catcher filter now went down which meant no more snagging of my clothes:-). He could have very easily told me there was an issue with my dryer because I couldn't see the lint since it was stuck way down under filter but instead fixed it real quick for me and told me what do do for the future. I am super happy with the service and would recommend and use myself again!

I was here, the guy came over. My only thing is that I don?t think I was clear that I found him through Angie?s List, because I called a guy from Angie?s List who recommended him and he told me he was on Angie?s List too, So, I called him and told him that this other guy referred me to him. He came over, he was polite. He brought some other guy over and had initially told me that just mounting the microwave was going to be $65 or $85. Then if he had to bring it down, it would be $85. H said, I have to bring it down. He had another guy with him and he was working on it. I left him alone. This is my dad?s house, I went to the room and when I came out, he had already finished, but he never gave us an estimate like he had said on his website. He didn?t give us a number. He finished the work and then he told us it was going to be $180 & he gave a small discount, he took off $10, so it was like $171. He was here less than an hour. I asked him why it was so much more. He said, I had to bring in another guy, I had to bring it down, so it?s like $130, and then I don?t know he was telling me how he came about it. The piece, the actual part cost $16, so all of it was just labor. I said, you can?t give me a better discount? He said, that?s all I can give you. It was less than 5%. He did the job or whatever, I just didn?t like the surprise at the end. I thought he was going to give me an estimate before he finished it. I just said, fine we?ll pay for it. He didn?t give me my senior discount like it says on the website. I didn?t ask for it, I didn?t push the subject. The thing is that I am not sure if I was clear that I was calling him because of Angie?s List, even though I mentioned to him and this and that. It was a GE microwave, one of the higher end ones and it cost like $590, the total price. It?s about 4 years old, that?s why we went ahead with a repair. That kind of left a little bit of a bad taste in my mouth. I asked him, do you give a warranty? He said, I give a 3-month warranty on labor and parts. I go, how about 6? He goes, no, only that. Eventually he gave us an invoice and I asked him to print the warranty on to the invoice after the fact, and he didn?t. Then he extended it up to 6 months, because I think he realized looking at me after the fact, I think he charged me more than he should have. That?s just my personal opinion. For quality, I don?t know, we will find out. There?s something that I just don?t feel quite right about. It could just be in my mind, but that?s just how I feel and my dad. It?s the way that he went about it. I would have wanted him to tell me or my dad that this is going to cost you X, and do you want to continue with the work. I would rather have that then just telling me you at the end that it can out to this. For professional, that is why I gave him a ?B??. A ?C? on the price because I think he was higher on his price then what the amount of work that he did. He wanted me to pay for the guy that came with him, he didn?t say that over the phone. I don?t want to give him a bad rep, but that is how we are feeling right now about it.

It was fixed and they told me if it jams again I was better of buying a new machine instead of getting it repaired again. I liked the honesty.

Honest, did the small task needed and did not seek further

It turned out very well. They were excellent. They were very responsive. They were very very good. They did a great job. It was perfect. I called them for my washer and they fixed it. The parts to replace were very expensive but my washer is relatively new so it was worth it. Everything was very good. The guy was very very good. He was excellent.

Lazaro was friendly and knew what he was doing. He purchased a replacement part for our oven and then come to install it. Was quick, efficient. All done!

They were very honest about the terrible reliability of newer washer models compared with the old ones and recommended against my wasting money in parts and labor that would be close to cost of new washer

Excellent, Lazaro was very cordial and responsive, explain pricing accurately. The technician Juan Carlos is very knowledgeable, he knew exactly what to do. The refrigerator is now working like new. Also very honest, he came a second time to replace a part that had to be order, and when he saw that the refrigerator was working finally and the part was performing correctly, he told us that the part did not need replacement and did not chraged us for the visit. We only paid the fee for the initial visit. We even asked Juan Carlos for advice on an issue we were having on a front load washer, we gave him the error message and he kew exactly what was going on. He checked the water lines which were not opened completely and viola the washer was fixed. He did not charged us for this either. Very grateful with Lazaro and Jun Carlos.

This was my first experience with Appliance Tech Services. I called Monday late afternoon and left a message. Lazaro called back within 20 minutes of my call and said he would have someone come out on Tuesday afternoon sometime after 1 pm. Tuesday at 1:17 Juan called to say that he would be at my house in approximately thirty minutes. He arrived at 2 pm. He was very friendly, informative and was able to fix my washer quickly and we even had time for a little chat and for my dogs to give Juan a friendly greeting. Overall my experience with Appliance Tech was great and I will definitely put them in my phone so that I can use them whenever I need a repair. I highly recommend them. You won't be disappointed.

I called Lazaro around 10:30 am and explained the issue with the dryer in my rental unit. Lazaro made contact with the tenant and then he handled the rest since I was at work and could not be there. The work was completed by 1 pm. I paid him over the phone at that time. Saved me a day of waiting around for Sears, besides the fact that they could not schedule my repair for another 5 days. Techs were professional but it did not go well. Took two tries to fix wok correctly, but ordered wrong part for one refrigerator which was only told to us after we complained not working. Replaced part but still has the same problem and then stopped working altogether. Couldn't fix other refrigerator. Have used them before with good results but they don't seem to have the expertise for the higher end products. Previous items were not those.

This man is a genius! He is talented, knowledgeable, fair and reliable! What more could one ask? He saved my old built in oven that blew a coil and had a little fire in it. I told him on the phone what happened and he brought a part with him that fit. Was so happy. You are lucky if you hire him!

Great! Freezer diagnosis was free since Lazaro could clearly see a frozen block of ice in the bottom of freezer, clogging the drain. He was able to defrost and fix in about an hour. And he was friendly with my dogs!

This was my first time using Angie's List and I am so pleased that I selected Lazaro and his company, Appliance Tech Services. Lazaro came and took a look at my dryer on Monday, gave me an estimate right away, and returned today with another employee with the part and fixed it. He is incredibly professional, polite and a pleasure to work with. I would hire his company again without any hesitation whatsoever.
