My problem was the clothes washer would not spin. Lazaro, from appliance tech. was prompt and courteous. He looked at the washer visually without touching it, and said he would send me an email regarding repair costs. I did get the email for repair cost of $1300. The original cost of the washer at purchase was $600. This leads me to believe he didn't know how to fix it or he didn't want to fix it._x000D_|Needless to say, I did not use Appliance Tech Services, but I did have to pay him $50 for service call. I think he is running a scam by overcharging people for repairs, and making them pay for a service call. _x000D_|BTW, the washer would not spin because the drain system was clogged, which is located on the very front of the washer. Cost, $75 for flushing the system and $25 for service charge. Total time about 45 minutes. _x000D_|

Our dryer broke down on a Thursday. My first call was to Lazaro, due to the great reviews he had gotten here. He was very friendly on the phone; he let me know that he was already booked through Tuesday, so he understood if I wanted to try a different provider first. I didn't have luck with my other options, so I called up Lazaro again and set up a Tuesday morning appointment. Lazaro showed up on time and immediately set to work. After taking apart the dryer, he found the problem was with the timer. He noted that these timers are expensive, and so rather than have me pay the $200 it would cost for parts and labor to replace the timer, he had instead done a simpler fix - resoldered a connection, I think - that he believed would hold up. He told me that if it failed in the next month, he'd come back out, put in a new timer, and apply the $90 that the current repair had cost as a credit toward the timer replacement. That seemed extremely fair to me. As it turned out, the fix worked fine when using the numbered timer settings, but not when using qualitative ones (like Energy Dry). We were concerned this might mean the repair would not hold up, or even that there might be a dangerous electrical problem, so we asked Lazaro to come out and put the new timer in instead. He did so promptly, though the final cost was about $50 more than expected. Days later we found that the dryer still didn't work right on those qualitative settings; in fact, to our dismay we found that the the dryer would never stop its cycle if we used those settings! Thank goodness the dryer had an automatic cutout that would temporarily pause the dry cycle if the temperature rose to high, or we could have had a fire. When we discovered this, I called Lazaro immediately, and he came out the next day. He tested the timer, and concluded that there was no problem as long as we stayed away from the qualitative settings. We agreed that we didn't need those.

I called them and they came the same day. They were very honest and I would use them again.

He did a good job. Everything got done and turned out great.

Lazaro has become a part of my inner circle of people I rely on when I need help in my house. Lazaro always comes the same day or next. He is extremely professional, kind, warm, funny and a hard worker. He comes until the job is done and my appliance (my refrigerator) is working properly. Feel comfortable with him in my home.

Made appointment, they came on time and right away, told me the problem, Came ordered the part and came back and installed it.

Mr. Polanco was prompt, friendly and honest on his first visit, diagnosing problems with both our refrigerator and our dishwasher. The icemaker was making a moaning noise. As this would be an expensive repair, replacing the entire unit, he suggested we just lift the lever and shut it off at night or whenever it becomes noisesome. No cost there. The dishwasher however required a new control panel which was about $150 with shipping and arrived a week later. Mr. Polanco returned promptly the following week and installed the part. The machine runs like new. $135 labor, total cost $290. Two problems solved. We were charmed by Mr. Polanco's humor and friendliness and impressed by his professionalism. We will not hesitate to call on him again for any appliance problems.

They were professional, gregarious and on time. Lazaro brought his son with him as he is teaching him the business but also he helps his dad. They were really informative and helpful and are coming back on Monday to finish the work on the dryer since they needed to order the part. I would highly recommend them and I felt they were very competitive on price. Plus extremely knowledgeable on their work and what needs to be done without over-doing it. We liked them very much and they spoke perfect English since my brother and I speak no Spanish. ABSOLUTELY I would recommend them for all their servicing.

I really appreciate the fact that they did not come to my home and charge me for a service visit and I will definitely use them again . He told me what to do and it resolved the problem for now but that I need to call an electrician. I even called him a second time and he answered more questions and took the time even though he was not getting paid. Great customer service. Not easy to find in Miami!!

Lazaro was professional and courteous during the process. He was careful with the kitchen floor when he had to move the oven. He was also really good with explaining what he was doing, and the purpose of each step. The problem turned out to be a fuse that was tripped during the self-cleanning session I ran a few days earlier. He reset the fuse that was located in the back of the oven. The only negative I have is being charged the same price as a full repair, even though it didn't require replacing any parts.

I described the problem with the oven over the phone. He ordered the part and replaced it a few days later. He showed up on time and was very professional. I told him that my mother's oven had the same problem with her heating element but her oven was very old. I gave him the model information and he called me the following morning to tell me that they no longer made the part. I appreciated the quick follow up.

They came on time were responsive. He did a really good job. I would use him again. They gave me a reasonable price as well.

Super proffessional, punctual, detailed, fair and all in all wonderful. When he finished he asked me to call him if it didn't work to expectations and he would come back to further work on it. It was a great experience. He was punctual, fair, and I felt comfortable with his level of knowldege. I will recommend him 100% to anyone who needs a refrigerator repair .

The diagnosis did not require him to come out and we were able to fix it without a call. He was extremely helpful and there was no cost. I would definitely call him again.

They did a wonderful job. He came on time and was neat. The job was done very efficiently. It was overall a great experience.

He is honest and reliable. He comes out very quickly to our home to give us an estimate. I also had him come out when my washing machine broke and he didn’t charge me anything. He checked the whole unit out. He is just a trustworthy gentleman. He educated me and addressed any issues that I had very well.

I can't recommend them enough; I will definitely call Appliance Tech again. ========================================================== To sum up their virtues, they werevery cordial, responsive, and informative on the phone (so rare in Miami!). Service could be scheduled within 48 hours. They used technology wisely to make it easier on customers. They had me text my model number, they had a credit card reader attached to their tablet, and they emailed me a receipt. Finally, Lazaro gave no indication at all that he was impatient with me or that my business was unimportant to him, even though I was a small job that ended up being only a $49 service call charge.

The visit was fine, and the repair visit was fine. We removed the convection oven and reinstalled it after they left. I did not experience any follow-up on their part. We initiated the calls to check on the part delivery and once again to schedule the repair. The time frame was 3 weeks. In the past I have ordered parts that have broken on this convection oven from the internet. After the repair I double checked the cost on the motor and discovered 3 sights with the same part, only 40% cheaper. I sent the repair company an email and attached a link they could use in the future to save their customers money on parts. I also indicated that if the part had been marked up that I considered that unfair as it was ordered and not produced from existing inventory. His response was more surprising. He gave me the company they ordered from and also indicated that "they were a business and they made money from parts and labor". I accept and understand that a business uses capital to buy and maintain inventory and should be entitled to a mark up. This was a hand to hand transaction on their part and no additional expense was borne by them with the exception of the time it took to ORDER the part. I feel that a 40% mark up on something ordered is excessive and unfair. There was no risk and no capital outlay on their part. I respect their honesty however misguided I feel it is. In addition I have ordered an additional piece as a preventative measure since the turntable did not appear to be running smoothly. These folks are off our list.

From the first phone call I made to ATS, Lazaro was very prompt in returning my calls and very professional, courteous and knowledgeable. The three traits I like to see in a repairman. I was having a problem with the dryer taking a very long time to get the clothes dry and with the washing machine, which sounds like a plane is getting ready to take off and frequently gets off balance during the spin cycle. Instead of just showing up he asked me over the phone what the problem was and was able to give me a basic idea of the problems I was having, and a rough estimate of the cost of the repair. On the day of the repair he was ready with the parts he needed. I decided not to repair the washing machine since the cost of repair would have been too high. But he fixed the door, cleaned the lint hose and has everything working great now. The time it takes to dry the clothes has practically been cut in half.

I calle dthis company and found out thier web site is not updated. They do not cover area when its web site said it did. I was very diapointed because I was really relying on them because of all the great reviews they recieved. They need to change the web site ASAP.

I scheduled an appt. with him and he did arrive on time. I paid him for the estimate and he said he would order the part and come by and fix it. He came by, the washing machine worked for a couple of weeks and then it stopped working again, so I contacted him again. When I contacted him again and explained the problem, he said that he wouldn't charge me so much since he was just at my house a couple of weeks ago. I asked him why I would be charged if I already paid for the repair. He indicated that he fixed the hose and I didn't advise him there was a problem with the spinning. I told him I had explained to him the problem, which included the spinning issue. He said "you're not telling the truth" and started laughing, which was very disrespectful. I told him I would make sure to write a review on Angie's List and he started laughing and said "go ahead". My expectation was for him to fix my problem and I would pay him, not pay him $200 to replace a hose that only fixed a part of the issue. What he did was not worth $200!! I specifically went through Angie's list because of this very issue with repairmen and this guy was a big let down. I have used Angie's List in the past for my oven repair, solar heating and electric repair and have had good service, but I guess it's a hit or miss. Unfortunately, my washing machine is still not working. Lazaro charged med $42.31for the cost of the hose and $135!! for labor. I mean, are you kidding me? I trusted this guy and I feel very ripped off.

I will definitely use this company/individual again in the future and recommend him to anybody I know which may require service.

Quick response to my call, came a day later, diagnosed the problem in 15 seconds, had the part in his truck, fixed it right away. Perfect? Close. I thought the labor was a bit high for the time it took but then if he'd sat in his truck and had a sandwich and taken an extra 30 minutes I'd be happier? Perhaps. Good job. A few days later I had a problem with another machine. He told me over the phone it was time to buy a new machine and since he was close, stopped by to give a look. Confirmed it was dead. No charge. Nice. That's the kind of thing that keeps me coming back.
