It went terribly!!!! She promised to sue me and pay for another one of her vacations if I left bad reviews (which I promised I would do if she didn't do the right thing and refund my money) I called them and gave them the model number for my high end dishwasher before they came. They came and told me not to bother because its 10 years old. I pressed them to just look at it and they seemed annoyed. Then Keya just started naming parts like "its the main controller board" - I responded that the water flows after unplugged (did it to demonstrate) - she immediately responded "controller & inlet valve". Swiped my card and left. I followed up several times for a quote for my landlord. I got the terse "I'm really busy and doing the best I can!" and finally when pressed "can't find parts" They knew the model number before they came out. I feel they knew they were not going to attempt to fix it. Keya seems to have a habit of making excuses (see other review responses) Thankfully, the unit got fixed without them. I NEVER call out a business online because I know people can have a bad day and it shouldn't haunt their business. That said, I have been hustled so much here in South Florida by shady service providers, I feel like I need to step up and do my part to not only protect other customers but to help the ones who are truly honest and do a good job. So now, I get to wait for their lawyer to call me and take me to court for "defamation" and "extortion" - She claims to have paid for her last vacation this way. (see attached) That should tell you that I'm not the only one and there are probably countless more that are silent because they are afraid of the hassle of being dragged into court. This is disgusting and a total abuse of the legal system. All over $75, such a waste of the legal system.

Completely and utterly FALSE!!! The customer stated that his unit was 10 years old but asked us to come out just in case it was a minor repair. We did so and researched parts for the unit WHILE AT THE CUSTOMER'S HOME. The unit is actually 13 years old. We advised him not to put any money into the unit. He was happy with our service at the time and signed off on service call alone, a price he agreed to prior to our arrival. The customer never got his unit fixed. I know that because Bosch discontinued all the parts on his model. Telling him I could fix it with off market parts, not knowing what the outcome could be would have been dishonest. Yet my company is getting a bad revciew because I advised a customer not to waste money on a 13 year old dishwasher???? The customer's review speaks to his mind. Conpanies encounter dishonest and... Interesting customers all the time. We can end up with a bad review because of the silliest things. I once got a bad review because a customer's self diagnostic and self bought parts didn't work out. It was our fault. Not the friend he had that cut and spliced his wires. Others just want free labor. Like the customer above. I diagnosed his unit. The parts are unavailable for a unit he admits is over a decade old. This is unfair.

I called Appliance Doctor to repair some Viking appliances - what a mistake! They were not knowledgeable and did a very poor job. The tech they initially sent was more interested in chatting us up than in doing the work. The work on my microwave had to be redone and the hood repair was not done right. Save yourself a big headache - don't call this Appliance Doctor!

The machine was eventually fixed but customer service left a lot to be desired. It was quick and easy to get in touch with them initially but once they came out and charged the repair before actually completing it, getting in touch with them suddenly became impossible. There was apparently a miscommunication as to when they would be back with the part and then I spent well over a week trying to get some kind of update from them as to when I could expect the repair to happen. It wasn't until I threatened to dispute the charges on my credit card that somebody finally called me and scheduled the repair. I get that they had ordered a part and were waiting for it but not keeping the customer in the loop or answering/returning calls after you've taken their money is simply unprofessional. Though I now have a working washer, I doubt I would use them again due to the prolonged frustration I experienced from this job.

The break in communication was due to our incoming phone lines being accidentally shut down by AT&T for an entire month. We were unaware of the situation for some time and thought we just had a slow down in business. The customer was not able to get through to us and our calls to the customer did not go through due to her teaching schedule during the day. We usually call our customers within 24 hours of receiving an ordered part. This situation took the better part of 2 weeks. We did not know the customer was trying to get in contact with us as well until we got an email from her. Many of our customers experienced this problem until we were able to resolve the issue with AT&T. Despite this not being our fault, we feel horrible about the situation and would like to extend a free service call to Ms.[member name removed] in the future.

The vendor did not refund my money. I was charged the full $675 up front for a repair that never happened and although the vendor assured me she would refund me the money, I have not received it yet and today is November 11th.
Description of Work: Terrible, not only did they not replace the part correctly, they burned out another part. I will |Never use them again!

I'm the owner of the company and this is my fault. The technician's daughter was diagnosed with a potentially terminal condition and instead of removing him from the field so he could deal with his family issue, I acquiesced to his request and allowed him to remain out servicing customers. His head wasn't in the game and understandably so. It was a mistake that I will not make again. We will offer Ms. [Members Name] a free service call should she ever decide to use us again and made it a point to refund her money in full.

Excellent. Brian was on-time, professional, and nice. He explained the problem, talked with me about how it might have happened (we narrowed it to a load that was too heavy), and gave me a clear price. He spent a lot of time making sure that his assessment was correct, and helping me decide between repairing the machine or purchasing a new one. In all, he spent nearly 2 hours with our machine and it was running smoothly when he left. Kay was also great on the phone, and helped me get a same-day appointment.
Description of Work: Brian fixed our washing machine, which wasn't spinning in the spin cycle.

Booker was honest and knew immediately what was causing our problem. He went right to work after explaining what he had discovered and what must be done. We were having a dog training session at the same time, and he was very curteous about warning us when he would have to cause a loud noise which might startle the dogs. He was professional but affable. I would hire him again and again and again.
Description of Work: The service man was Booker, and he had to climb on a ladder and lie on the floor to clean the drier vent. He even stated that it was incorrectly installed, and rerouted the duct work as well as cleaning it out. He was extremely thorough and very polite and knowledgable. He explained the service call charge prior to his arrival, and the additional charges for his work were very reasonable.

The service rep responded to my call in 45 minutes. He immediately assessed the problem and corrected it. My water bill was $20.00 higher than normal this time because I had trouble getting the water in the tub to stay. The water would run and run and run, but not fill up enough to begin agitation. But once in a while it would work so I was confused. He figured it out, lifted the hose and it began to fill and hold water. It took about 10 minutes for him to figure this out. Since he was there I asked him to look at my gas stove burners that would hardly light. He took out a wire from his toolbox and cleaned out the stuck burners. They now work like a charm. He only charged me for the service call because the whole thing took less than 1/2 hr.
Description of Work: Cleaned gas burners on stovetop since they were filled with carbon. Discovered the reason why my 1 yr. old Whirlpool washer was not holding the water in the tub. It turns out the drain hose was not elevated enough to create suction for the washer.

The serviceman was very polite & quickly diagnosed the problem. Luckily, he had the part in his truck & he was able to fix the machine in less than 30 minutes.
Description of Work: Roper washing machine wasn't draining or spinning. I called Appliance Doctor & had a service call in less than 24 hours. The problem was quickly traced to a bad switch harness in the washer lid (the switch that cuts off the pump & spin cycles when the lid is opened).

They had to unravel & repair a mess left by another company. They researched (it took a lot) and repaired my dryer and washing machine. It was necessary for them to come to my house many times but they did not charge me each time. Amazingly, they were interested in solving my problem and they did so. Each time they arrived on time, were clean & tidy, and made follow up phone calls so I could know what was going on. They even loaned me a dryer while waiting for my parts to come in. It was a very lucky day I called that company - thanks to Angie's List.

Kenneth did a FANTASTIC job. When I first called him, he declined the job since we are in Miami Springs and this is pretty far for him. But when he heard that I had found him through Angie's List, he happily agreed to come. He had to come back a total of 3 times because the dryer kept burning out the thermostat. It was a real mystery to him, but he assured me he would not leave me hanging and wouldn't stop till the dryer was functioning properly. After he had eventually replaced most of the parts in my dryer, he decided to look at the washer out of frustration. He found out the culprit was the washer (not spinning the clothes dry enough) and fixed that for me, too. All of this and he never charged me any additional money!What a pleasure to deal with someone who provides such excellent service......I highly recommend this company!!
Description of Work: Kenneth fixed our 11 year old clothes dryer, which was not heating properly. He also fixed our washing machine which I didn't even realize was broken. The washer was not spinning the clothes dry enough, consequently, the clothes going into the dryer were too wet and this was the reason the dryer kept overheating and burning out the thermostats.

Kenneth was here when he said he would be here. He did a great job. Explained everything to me. He even cleaned the dust out from the bottom of the refrigerator and explained to me how often I should do it myself. It was a good experience from start to finish.

The work was very nicely done. They were very patient about finding the problem and the price was very affordable. I really expected to pay more but I did not have to at all. After they finished they follow up with me to make sure everything was working the way it was supposed to be.

Appliance Doctor took the washer with him on a Tuesday and returned it to us on Wednesday fixed. I called another company in June and by October, they still had not come to fix it. I am very glad I called the Appliance Doctor.
