+ -1 moreI bought the computer 3/2006. In 5/06, the computer broke down. Alienware ''fixed'' it, as the breakdown was within the first 90 days. It came back to me with a non-functioning battery. They did not replace this with a new battery because I was out of the 90 day warranty period (though Alienware was in possession of the computer during the latter part of the warranty period). The computer broke down again shortly thereafter. Alienware sent me a repair disc, which they then charged me for, though I had returned it (they had no record of my having returned the disc). The keyboard key fell apart 6 months after purchase. There was two additional major breakdowns within the second half of the year. The company fails to make restitution in any way, such as getting the computer working without major charges, replacing the computer, etc.
Description of Work: My laptop computer was a lemon. It broke down within first 3 months, then broke down two more times (for a total of three major hardware malfunctions) within the first year. Customer support was abominable.

+ -1 moreEXCELLENT! THE CUSTOMER SERVICE GROUP WAS THE MOST RESPONSIVE ONE DURING MY SEARCH FOR A CUSTOM COMPUTER. IN ADDITION, THE SERVICE TECH WAS THOROUGH AND PATIENT AS HE ASSISTED WITH MY COMPUTER PROBLEM.
Description of Work: BUILD REPLACEMENT COMPUTER AND TROUBLESHOOT PROBLEMS WITH THE COMPUTER ORDERED.
