We set the appointment for the next day. They had an earlier opening that day, so they called and came early. The serviceman "George" was very nice, quick and professional. I thought the cost was reasonable, althought I did not get any other estimates.

I have recommended them to a neighbor already. They did a terrific job for us. They were on time and professional. The cost was exactly what they quoted me over the phone. We would defiantly use them again. I think the price was reasonable for the job that they did.

It did go very well from the start,very courteous, and professional.You can see he was well trained also.He showed me the problem. Actually this problem was a one created by the previous technician.Initially I had a broken spring on my double garage door.I contacted a guy from the yellow pages-a 24 hr service.That tech came and put 2 new springs, most of the time he was on the phone and I did not understand what he was talking.When finally (after 3 hrs) he fixed the door it was not closing properly.it was slanted.He blamed this on a old bolt and said will be ok in 2 wks and got $ 310.00 check and left.When debris started to come thru the door I called the company and now they say that invoice is not theirs and the caretaker who accepted the receipt failed to see that there was no name on that receipt.So it was a bogus company.I will never trust yellow pages anymore. This company did an excellent job, You can trust them issued a proper receipt and gave me a warranty for 90 days for the work that was done.I really appreciate the reviews that helped me to choose this company from Angie's list.Any job in the future will be from Angie's list and not from YP.Thanks Angie.

The prompt and knowledgeable response by the owner, Mr. Smitty Dawson, and his sales representative who visited our home were the major reasons for our selection of his company as the prices for the two other bids were similar. Mr. Dawson responded quickly to each of our telephone calls throughout the process. His sales representative explained the process and time frames clearly. The company made all arrangements for the permit and for required inspections. The work (Saturday) and the weekday inspection were scheduled to meet our available days. The company also picked up the signed permit and the other documents after the final inspection and prepared a final packet for us. Roger arrived at 8 a.m. on our chosen Saturday. He was finished by noon, even with a trip to Home Depot to purchase the pressure-treated door frame replacement lumber. He left the area very clean. We would definitely hire this company again.

In less than an hour, a technician, Ramon, arrived at my home. I was delighted with how quickly and well he replaced the springs. Not only do I recommend Actsys, I plan on calling them with all my garage door issues.

The tension spring on my garage door broke and I called ActSys on a Saturday. George was at my house about 1 hour later and did a phenomenal job in not only repairing the broken spring but also in lubricating and performing maintenance on my door to where it is whisper quiet now. Before it sounded like an angry cat and now it sounds like nothing! Thanks George!

ACTSYS Door Systems originally provided an estimate of $395 for a 3/4 HP Liftmaster, belt-drive garage door opener with two remotes. Before the technician arrived, I was called by ACTSYS to ask if I would like a better motor that was loaded on the truck with battery backup and remote entry for $450. (Although I viewed this as a bait & switch sales pitch, I figured the battery backup feature was a good option for hurricane season and I willingly opted for the better motor.) The caller also inquired about my motor mount bracket which I always viewed as flimsy. So for an extra $30, I decided to add a more sturdy bracket made of angle iron. The ACTSYS technician (Norman) was on time to the minute and very polite. The job took less than two hours and I was very pleased with the results. I was also given a $30 mail-in rebate form for a Liftmaster monitor. I had a bad experience with a previous garage door repair company whereby two tatooed thugs demanded $350 cash for a minor repair last year. I was happy I found ACTSYS Door Systems and I will use them in the future.

The pricing was very reasonable. He was prompt and did the work quickly. It worked out for us.

They were very timely and professional. When I called they came out very quickly. Since then they have done some maintainence for me which I felt was very reasonably priced.

I first contacted Smitty Dawson on September 17, 2011 over the phone and asked him to come out and give me an estimate for replacing my garage door, opener and hardware. Mr. Dawson told me that there was no need for him to come out to see the scope of work and that he would send me the estimate over the phone. I was not happy about that but I did allow him to send the estimate which I received on Sept. 19, 2011 The estimate had the permit cost (Coral Springs) as $275. I reviewed the estimate and called two other companies for estimates. Both of the other companies took the time to come see the scope of work and give me written estimates. One of the other companies estimates showed a permit cost of $68 so I called the city to find out how much the permit cost. The garage door permit for the city of Coral Springs costs $55. I then sent Mr. Dawson an email message asking him why he was charging $275 for the permit when the cost was only $55. Mr. Dawson then replied asking me what municipality I lived in (I had already told him Coral Springs) and the work he had to do to get the permit. Then began a series of increasingly hostile emails from Mr. Dawson stating such as "we do not charge for air". I then told Mr. Dawson that I had chosen a different company to do the work . His emails took on a hostile tone. Here is Mr. Dawson's next email after I told him I had chosen a different company: "And we are still waiting for your response, how do you like that? We wasted all this time with you, and you were just jerking us off. Evidently you don't want the truth. We are waiting for you to tell us what municipality you live in to get you the truth of their charge for the permit!! Please never call our company again. If price was all you were looking for, then you called the wrong company. We offer value to our customers. P.S. Most customers who hide behind emails are just low ball shoppers. Not our type of clientele. We want to establish a relationship" I then reminded Mr. Dawson (via email)that I did tell him I was in Coral Springs. I also told him that I resented his attitude and that I had told him I was in Coral Springs when I first called him. I also told him I was looking for service first then price. I had also told him that I got his company name off Angie's List so he should have known that I would be reviewing his service. I have never had this type of experience from a vendor before and I hope that I never have this experience from a vendor again. I have copies of the emails in case there is any dispute from Mr. Dawson about this review.

It went very well. They responded promptly and the door is working well. A huge improvement. The installer was a little grumpy about working around the uniqueness of my garage but ultimately he did everything very well.

They offered the best price and were very responsive and professional. The installation was as scheduled and done neatly and professionally. I highly recommend ACTSYS and would definitely use them again.

They came when they said they were going to come. They finished when they said they were going to finish. I haven’t had a problem since. They just came and serviced it. There’s nothing really outstanding about them. They are fair, honest and dependable. I will use their services again in the future.

I checked with multiple vendors and felt that most were very competitive price wise, but felt that this vendor was the most honest and reliable.

We called and he came right away and repaired it. He also lubricated the door. It took him about an hour to do it.

A company representative came to my home and took the appropriate measurements. When it came time to install the doors, the company's employees showed up on time as promised and worked diligently. A snafu arose when the door panels that were shipped to Actsys from the manufacturer were the wrong size notwithstanding that they were marked with the right measurements. The company's president was very apologetic and lit a fire under the manufacture to get the correct doors shipped out as soon as possible. The manufacturer's quality control mistake cost the project a two week delay. Eventually the correct doors arrived and they were promptly installed with the new motors. Everything is working great. All in all I'm very happy with new doors/motors as well as the service of Actsys. I highly recommend the company.

The technician came out the next day, and informed me that the existing garage door already conformed to the Miami-Dade code and did not need to be replaced. He gave me an estimate for replacing the door closing motor (which I knew needed replacement). When I called to set up an appointment for that, they came out and did the job the same day. Called because my garage door opener wasn't working. It is pretty old & I thought we needed a new one. They came over same day. The technician checked it out & found I didn't need a new opener - just a spring, which costs about half as much. He replaced it right away, and it works great. Excellent service & responsiveness - will definitely use them again.

Called them because door was not opening using garage door opener. They came promptly, inspected the unit, indicated it should be replaced. The next day they came and replaced the garage door opener. They were professional, on time, and provided some extra items (like maintenance on the door) without adding to the cost.

They have done excellent work and I have not had any problems with their work since the repairs. They are professional and on time. I would use them again as well.

Everything about the experience was good. The owner that I spoke to on my first call was very knowledgeable. He knew exactly what I needed and was able to give me a preliminary estimate over the phone. They came to my house exactly when they said they would for the quote and for the install and handled all of the permitting with Coral Gables. The installers were very cordial and efficient and they made a very deliberate effort to clean up the site. They even cleaned smudges off of the new door and hauled away the old one.

They paid for the permits on the whole thing. They were very professional. They were punctual. I would use them again in the future if I needed to for any other work.
