When you meet the owner, Abe Levy, he sounds like the nicest and most knowledgeable guy you will ever meet and he quoted us an OK price (it sounded like a great price at first until I did some research and found that it was just OK). Things went sour very quickly after we signed the contract and applied for financing. As soon as the financing was approved, he immediately charged the full amount even though we never authorized him to do so. He promised the carpet in two weeks. After two weeks, he said it was going to be another two weeks. After almost two months of false promises he even showed me a shipping confirmation from the factory (which later turned out to be fake). After a half dozen lies about when the carpet will be installed, I told him to give me my money back and keep the carpet (if it ever arrives). He never refunded the money, so I had to get it back through the dispute department of the financing company, which took almost three months. After the above incident, I did a very thorough research about local carpet stores and part of what I found is that Abe Levy has a reputation in the industry of being a scam artist and apparently he has been to jail and has gone bankrupt a few times. He takes people's money and never delivers. I was lucky as I did get my money back. People who give him cash never see their money again and they never receive any product. In fact, apparently even carpet manufacturers are not willing to do business with him, so when he legitimately wants to order carpet, he has to ask other people in the industry to do it for him. It is sad that there are people like him, but all we can do is to stay away and let everyone else know that they need to stay away.
Description of Work: This guy is a scam artist! I did not see any carpet and neither will you!

Terrible! We are scrambling to find a contractor in the remaining time.
Description of Work: My A & J Flooring is at 8760 SW 132 Street, and this one is at 8709. The person referred to Abe (Abraham Levy) is the one I dealt with. The only service performed was taking a deposit of $2,500 and not ordering the material, eventually running out of excuses and turning me over to "Juan", supposedly his installer. He asked me to wait another three weeks. The contract expiration date has come and gone and they never did any work or as far as I can determine, order the material which is what the deposit was supposed to buy. This was for a boat that will leave the country and the work was never performed. We don't know if we will ever see our deposit back.

We are very disappointed with this company. The sales pitch by Mr. Abbe sounds great and is very convincing, but is not reality. He will say yes to everything but does not deliver. Installer was very nice and did a fair job, but was not instructed or supervised at all by the company. We had to go over everything with him. The job was delayed as company only sent one man to do everything... he had no help. When it was all done, salesperson never showed up to check work, just called to collect the check. Two months later, the new laminate floors peaked (raised in certain areas). After 18 days of insisting someone go out to look at it and fix it, they finally did. The installer determined that it was not a water issue, but an installation issue and he would come back to fix it. To my surprise, Mr. Abbe called insinuating that it was caused by a water issue from the AC as if trying to get out of having to fix it. Very disappointing. When the installer arrived to fix it, we again determined that there was no water issue. He had made the mistake of not leaving enough room for expansion of the wood at the ends of the wall. He removed the base boards and made cuts and fixed the issue. I am very surprised this company has been in business this long. Find someone else.
Description of Work: Installation of wood laminate floors throughout the entire house.
