drain pipe, septic tank
+ 0 moreMr. Henshaw was always very responsive to telephone calls and appointment times. His work was meticulous. He performed all the excavations necessary by carefully removing only one section of the ironwork - which he replaced at job's end. It was a marvel to watch him handle the equipment and very carefully maneuver the new tank under and around the oak's branches. There was also a spot light on the oak; when it was necessary to break through the pipe carrying the power, he carefully tied it up out of the way so it would be easier to find and repair. The work site was always left clean and secure and even neighbors came by to comment how incredibly neatly the job was being done. I told Mr. Henshaw more than once that he was worth every extra penny. I have built two homes and have never worked with anyone in construction who thought and planned ahead so carefully and was so considerate of the client's concerns.
Description of Work: Our septic tank was cracked and had to be replaced as well as the drain field. The job was complicated by a decorative ironwork fence and low concrete pillars across the area as well as a magnificent old specimen oak. Another recommended company that I contacted for an estimate approached the job from the stand point of making it easier on themselves rather than us and our property. Going with them would have entailed substantially pruning back the oak and knocking out the fence and columns. Mr. Henshaw of A All Dade was sensitive to our concerns and proposed an alternate plan whereby the old tank was filled in and abandoned and the septic line was connected from the house to a new tank and drain field in front of the fence and the oak. It would cost us a bit more than a conventional replacement but that would be off set by not having our oak destroyed, not to mention the cost of rebuilding columns and replacing ironwork.
