Description of Work: We needed duplicate car keys made. A price was quoted over the phone and they said they could come to the house and do it. A locksmith was scheduled to come out the same day. Very convenient, prompt and professional. I highly recommend this company.

Description of Work: He was careless in opening and handling new front door handlesets resulting in damaging pieces of the new hardware lock to be installed. This resulted in his having to install a part from the old set, which color does not quite match the new one. He dropped heavy pieces on a mat we placed at our front door to protect the marble floor. I would not call him if you have expensive flooring. We were never at ease until he left.

+ -1 moreThey are excellent. My call was returned within 10 minutes and we scheduled an appointment. They called me prior to the arrival of the company representative. He arrived on time and the work was done quickly and completely. I really appreciate that they were honest and did not try to sell me a whole new lock.
Description of Work: Charles was sent by the company to repair two locks. On one, the latch became very loose and the other was sticking. He took both apart and greased both of them and tightened the screws in the loose one. It took him about 15 minutes in total.

Description of Work: Charles came ten minutes before the appointed time, a very cheerful, well-mannered, well dressed young man with a lovely handshake and smile. I had four Baldwin door sets in need of repair, three of these were repaired by Charles, the fourth, a replacement lock-set was the wrong size, my fault, as I ordered the larger size from Baldwin. Charles was great, it was obvious by his conversation that he truly enjoyed his work. The price was great and I would recommend this company to anyone.

+ -1 moreI called and left a message and they responded within 10 minutes. The repairman came within 45 minutes. The front door lock was broken and it was repaired between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Friday afternoon. The individual is a subcontractor, was well equipped and did a good job at repairing the lock. Charged $50 for the service call and the balance for the lock repair. I would call again.
Description of Work: The front door bolt lock was broken and had to be reassembled.

He fixed my door handle temporarily so I can use it, but he informed me I would need a new pitcher handle in the near future. He told me where to purchase one and all the details to look for. He also gave me the help I needed to fix my sliding glass doors. He said it would save a lot of money if I purchased the parts and if necessary he could install them. I will definitely purchase the parts then call him to install the handles.
Description of Work: My front door would not open from the inside. I used Angie's List and called A Able Locksmith. They arrived as scheduled to give an estimate and tell me the problem. Jason was very nice and he explained that the pitcher handle was broken and since it was over 30 years old would need to be replaced. He was very honest and told me I should pick out a handle that I liked (even telling me all the details I would need to tell the sales clerk ie. the left door is the "dummy door", the door opens in, antique brass finish to match the other hardware, etc. He could have ordered the door handles for me but this would be more cost efficient.
