I hired 4th Generation Roofing for a repair on my roof and a coating system to help with the heat. I have open ceilings and the heat inside was terrible and my AC couldn't keep up. Rob came and inspected my home and came up with the coating system solution. I can now enjoy my house and my AC isn't over worked. Dealing with them was a joy. I am widow and often get taken advantage of or talked down to by contractors. Rob was polite, honest and most importantly responsive! He always returned my calls and did what he said he was going to do. The crew who did my repair and coating system were professional and cleaned up after the job was done. I would HIGHLY recommend 4th Generation Roofing to anyone needing an honest roofing contractor!!!!!!!! I have referred him to my friends and 2 have used him and also had very positive experiences.

Before hiring a roofer I decided to do my research. I quickly found that some have stellar reviews on AL or Google but when I check BBB I sadly realize that some were biased reviews from possible friends and family, Anyhow, I chose 4th Generation b/c of its A+ rating on BBB.com and felt extremely comfortable once I met Robert who is following in the footsteps of prior generation roofers. Robert exceeded my expectations due to price point, transparency and lastly communication which I find important. All time lines were met and I was never harassed with the "pay me now" mentality. Lastly, all inspections were passed, no issue that wasn't resolved and will definitely recommend to anyone I know. On a side note, future customers should not be persuaded by one or two negative comments that weren't properly vetted I can easily show a bill of sale that I truly used 4th Gen. To surmise that point, I'm a business owner as well and have sadly been victim to people who sadly defame good honest workers.

BEWARE!!! After being paid a $3,000 deposit the owner skipped town, never to be heard from again leaving us with a disastrous leak. 4th generation was hired to fix a leak in our roof. After a storm we discovered the leak was not fixed in the midst of repairs (tiles off, ladders & debris on the property). After calling for several days, Robert apologized for being out of town and promised to get his crew out to remedy the leak. He was never heard from again. We had to hire another company after shelling out $3k.

Excellent. I was extremely impressed with their professionalism. They were reliable, dedicated and eternally upbeat. They were always punctual and clean. I was constantly kept updated with photos of the work and their current status. They consistently demonstrated all of these qualities and more, and I heartily endorse them for any roof service! 5 stars!!

4th generation Gutters re-did my gutters about a year and a half ago. Everything seemed to have gone well, until last June when we start getting leaks into the house. We thought at first it was a problem on the roof, (vents not sealed well?) which was then ruled out by insurance people and 2 contractors who stated the roof was ok. Only thing left to check was the gutters' work. I called Robert Nielsen who at first returned my call promptly. I asked him if he could come back and check the gutters work. At first he stated yes, to then disappear and never return calls nor email. Now i have a lot of damage in the house. I would not recommend this company as it is quick to get the money but do not stand behind their work. It is a scandalous customer service.

Once the project got started it moved quickly to a complete stop. March passed. April passed. May passed. June came and I finally was exhausted with the company. Robert who owes the company showed up for a meeting but did not bother to knock on my door but proceed to the fallen soffit to take pictures. The soffit fell because the rotten wood on the roof was not replaced during the tear off and was left exposed to moisture for months! I got his name from my attorney who used him to at his home and he was happy, but this guy is not qualified to do the work. I would never recommend him to anyone!

It went perfect. He came with his employees to explain the situation and the work that needed to be done a couple days after the assessment. The following day, his employee came and took everything off that needed to come off and water proofed that part of the roof so as to not let rain come in before he replaced the tiles. Professional work, communication was excellent and the job was prompt. Payment was made by check and the price was satisfactory. We do recommend.

The job was done within the expected time frame. The choice of material was exactly as described. All inspections were approved. The customer service was EXCELLENT!!!

4th Generation Roofing was originally recommended to us by a friend and I used their services to re-roof my rental property four years ago with great success. The inspector even wrote "great job" on the final paperwork. Since then I used them for several small roofing repairs on my home; also with great success. When it finally came time to re-roof my home, I called Rob and he promptly gave me an estimate. My wife insisted on more and after ten estimates, Rob was still the lowest bidder. Once started, the job went smoothly from start to finish. The company delivering the dumpster damaged my basketball rim and Rob's grandfather (2nd Generation roofer) repaired it. All of Rob's employees were quality folks who acted professionally and respectfully at all times. There ware no accidents, no injuries and no problems were encountered. There were also no surprises when it came to write the final check. I paid exactly what the contract estimated. I highly recommend this roofing and sheet metal contractor and I do it without hesitation.

There were two projects; one of them was for our house for $1600. They did a complete redo including the wooden tresses underneath. That was an expensive one. The second project was putting in a roof on our building. They did excellent, both times. Rob, the owner of the company was very responsive. Anytime I sent a text message or email, usually text message was the best way to get in touch with him, he would respond right away. At most, it would take him probably half an hour or so, if he was in a meeting or something. The ease of being able to get contact with him is something that I found very handy. As far as the punctuality, it was difficult for them if he has other projects. Sometimes it would take him a little while to get to ours, because he had to finish something else. The problem with that is that when there are weather issues, the weather delays all of his schedules. It is easy to say that he didn't do well in punctuality when in actuality at no point did he ever back down on an appointment. He never said that he couldn't make it. He only was delayed for legitimate reasons like weather issues. He would tell me right up front, that he had another project that was delayed due to the weather and that they need to go back and finish that before they could get to ours. He didn't come necessarily when he said he was going to but he was always communicative about the reasons. I would absolutely use them again. We are probably going to use him soon for sheet metal work because they do that as well.

FROM THE VERY START I FOUND THIS COMPANY TO BE VERY PROFESSIONAL IN EVERYTHING THAT THEY DID. WHENEVER CERTAIN CHANGES HAD TO BE MADE THEY MADE THOSE CHANGES WILLINGLY. THEY WERE PUNCTUAL AND FINISHED AHEAD OF SCHEDULE.
