I ordered LED lights for my awning at the time of purchase and paid in advance. The lights were not included at a cost of $1700. They will not return my calls.

Tried to order an awning, but the website was broken and when I clicked on "Complete Order" it wouldn't process with the credit card option selected - the page errored out. Then, I tried selecting ACH and it put my order through (with no confirmation page) and I got an email saying they'd send me the ACH info? W**? I emailed back and explained the problem, "Eric" gave me a number to call for "Ivor" that no one answered despite multiple calls. I let them know I'd ordered from somewhere else and this wasn't a great way to treat customers, and the owner replied, "Your error! You chose to make payment via ACH. You should have chosen credit card to begin with. Also, not my problem that you have no patience. Don’t have time for individuals that make poor decisions and that are inpatient. Most likely you would have been a problem upon installation so better we don’t have your order. Your email is blocked forever. Nothing will be received if you send it." Screenshot included. Completely unprofessional, do not recommend.

Being from England I know a high-quality retractable awning when I see one. I moved to Chicago from the UK and decided to install a retractable awning at my house. I looked at many reviews on this website and others and came to the conclusion that a retractable awning from [*** Link removed ***] was the obvious choice. Installed now for 4 1/2 years and have not had a single problem with it and don't expect to. We love it and use it frequently in the spring and summer months. My wife and I have only praise for the gents at Retractableawnings.com and commend them on offering high-quality European products, providing great service and a terrific 25-year non-prorated warranty. We just completed installing a motorized retractable awning from [*** Link removed ***] and are super pleased with the quality of the build, appearance and customer support.? This Italian-designed, engineered and manufactured awning is assembled and shipped from RetractableAwnings.com Florida plant, so if you need assistance with the install, you should contact a local handyman, carpenter or contractor.? Ours is a Palermo Plus, 16 ft. wide, with an 11 ft.-10 in. projection.? The Internet salesperson, Eric Scop, V.P., really worked with us to understand all the options and get fabric swatches.? We ultimately selected a combination Rain/Sun sensor and Vibration sensor to automatically retract the awning in case of heavy rain or excessive wind.? I spoke with Rocky, their installation expert, for advice on preparing the ledger board to attach the awning to our vinyl sided home, right below the soffit.? His advice was instrumental in making the install go so well.? Further, the awning arrived already programmed to the Soliris transmitter and the motor limit switches were also set.? It shipped in a fiberboard box (this one was about 17 ft long and 1 ft x 1 ft square, weighing over 200 lbs.), which was extremely tough.? The truck driver ignored the box orientation stickers and used a hand truck to move it from the center, rather than two hand trucks, one at each end, per the clear placarding on the box.? Despite this, it arrived in great shape, other than a couple minor paint scratches, which we will fix with touchup paint they are sending at no charge.? While the enclosed wall brackets were different from those described in the installation manual (an improved design), installing them was no problem. An extra bracket was included, which we also installed as this will be a large ?sail? on the side of the house and we want it to stay there. Installing something this large and heavy probably should be done by a professional but I tackled it myself. The installation is fairly straightforward as long as you have something solid to bolt the brackets to. We have been using this awing now for two seasons and I can tell you that it is German Engineering at it finest. Extremely well made and the full cassette Venezia model not only looks sharp but it protects the awning material from the elements which I expect will mean a longer life. We looked at other products before buying this one and nothing comes close to RetractableAwings.com in terms of quality. Remember that you are sitting under this thing so you want it to be safe in any weather. We actually just purchased a second Venezia awing and that is going up now. Eric at RetractableAwings.com has been great to work with and created renderings for us to visualize the awing on the house before we bought it and then stepped me through the purchase process. They also have great technical and parts support should you need it. I would rate them at the very top of their business.

Had a handyman install it and he had a couple questions. Got the company on the phone and he walked him through what needed to be done. Great company and great customer service. Took me a long time to decide what awning I wanted. They were very understanding and sent every sample I requested with no questions as to when am I going to finally decide.

Our architect found this supplier and he got in touch with them in late 2013. He had all the information provided to a guy named Eric Scop who is VP of the company, once the details were finalized he sent us the invoice#10907 for $33,494.00 for the entire product which was to be manufactured in Italy and then delivered to us by late May or early June. I sent them full payment of $33,494.00 with check#16372 payable to Retractableawnings.com INC on 6th of February 2014 that was drawn from our account on 13th of February 2014. Later on about end of March our architect Ian Kelly from Black Burn Architects informed me that the product would be delayed due to some measurement error and the new scheduled date of delivery would be end of June which of course was delayed further and it would be now 22nd of July. The product was never delivered on that day neither due to fact which we found out later that the delivery truck has gotten into accident and they have returned the product back to the warehouse of the shipping company, General Noli, from whom we got an email (Georgette Lazzara)that they would make damage control, share us photos and then redeliver again. On 1st of August she sent an email to Retractable Awning Company to a gentleman name Morris Scop who is supposed to be handling the delivery of the product to us and who has been very ineffective and uncooperative from beginning and copied us that we have refused to accept the product. Yes, it is true that our installers (Art Display CO) refused to accept the product due to the fact that they said the product was not in condition to be accepted because of the accident, which Georgette Lazzara from General Noli Shipping Company was supposed to share photos of the products with us before any attempt to redeliver it. After many communication back and forth on August 7th they sent us (to Ian Kelly, our architect)an email confirming that any damage, missing items or problems with the product would be covered and a preliminary insurance claim has been filed (we have a copy), we agreed and since then there has been 4 business days and we still have not gotten our product. Last email we got from General Noli, John Mancini, that he is trying to get the trucking company to schedule a delivery.And today we got a news from them that actually our product , the product that I have paid almost $34,000.00 is missing and they can not locate where it is, and Retractable Awning to whom we have made the payment are not responding our calls. Today is March 7th 2015: I got the below message from this supplier, who is threatening me with the following. Mr. Aliev, It has come to my attention that in addition to filing a complaint at the Better Business Bureau, you have in addition filed a complaint on Angiesiteslist.com. Angieslist.com does not notify members when either a positive or negative complaint is filed, therefore we were not aware of this until today when we signed in to review our account. Please note that per the terms and conditions on our website (link and screenshot below) if a customer files a complaint FOR NO VALID REASON (look at my complaint above and call that not valid after that) then the warranty on the entire product (including installation if applicable) is automatically void. My suggestion to anyone who intends to use these guys 1. Do not pay them until you get your product (If you want to work with them) 2. Pay only the most %25 deposit if you are too willing to work with them. 3. Stay away from them and look someone better if you have other alternatives

Great work from measuring to installation .

Overall very well. Because we are located in NYC and had the awnings shipped to Manhattan, I had to coordinated hiring a local company to install the awnings...I would of preferred to use an installer from RA but they are based in Florida.

New View Awnings were completely unprofessional from the incompetent sales representative to the effort to extract funds from us. They may have a decent product, but we will not ask them to come back to complete the project after the first of the year. Their professionalism certain is suspect.
