Tradewind built our custom home 5 years ago. Mack (the owner), came by our house to look at an unrelated project we were completing. While here, he noticed an exterior beam that looked like it had some rot in it. He sent his carpenter over to inspect all the beams in both the front and back of the house. Indeed, there was quite a bit of damage to several beams. Mack had to special order a 26 foot long pressure treated beam. The rest of the repairs were able to be completed using marine grade, pressure treated wood. His crew of three men worked about 7 days replacing all the damaged wood. It was a big job. They had to erect temporary supports while replacing the huge beams. All this while working on scaffolding. Part of our metal roof had to be removed to get to the wood underneath. They were mindful to prime all ends and joints of the new wood before installing it. They reset flashing and added additional bolts. While they were working in the back, it began to rain. They even cleaned our gutters! The only wait time I had was while the 26 foot long beam was being cut, prepared and shipped. Mack said that would take several weeks once it was ordered. I put it on my calendar to give him a call 4 weeks out and he called me first to schedule the work. My husband is knowledgeable about building, carpentry and painting. Mack's crew included him in any conversations about procedure. They cleaned up their work site at the end of every day. They took a very short time for lunch. In fact, I never even saw them take a break! It may be a small matter to some, but I appreciated that they were non-smokers and didn't have loud music blaring all day. I will be using Tradewind again!
Description of Work: Tradewind replaced rotten exterior beams on our 5 year old custom home.

After waiting six weeks for some conceptual drawings that were suppose to be done in a week or two, I called Trade Winds. They stated that some other things had come up , but they would get on my job and have some drawings in a week or two. It has been a couple months since that last committment, and I don't think I should hold my breath that they will be contacting me soon. I doubt that they will contact me with anything, despite them telling me twice they would. I will not be contacting them for a third time. I don't know why they wouldn't just tell me that they don't want the job or they are to busy. Four monthes wasted.
Description of Work: I met with Trade Winds representative approximately four months ago. I want to add an addition onto the back of the house making the master bedroom and bathroom bigger, as well as build a covered patio. We discussed ideas and they stated that they would prepare some concepts and preliminary drawings and get back with me in a week or two. .

Trade Wind Builders helped in design, presentation to HOA, permitting, surveying and complete construction of a 600 ft executive suite on our RV port in The Great Outdoors in Titusville, Florida. Great communication and overall professionalism. Yes, I wish it could have been done a bit faster, but I am not a super patient person. A Class company!

Great. We started with planning in late 2009. That design planning went very well and we were able to incorporate all of our desires into the construction plan. We then started building the first of April. We were not here for the construction but made several trips last summer for different phase of the construction. We were kept very well informed of the progress and any problems that arose. The construction supervisor, all of the people in the office, and all of the suppliers/workers were very easy to to work with and very eager to accommodate our needs and desires. The quality of the work is excellent and any problems that came up were dealt with quickly.
Description of Work: Added about 1500 sq ft to our home home in Viera (IRCC).
