cabinet refacing
 + -1 moreIt didn't. they sent a man out to measure and give me an estimate. He threw a number out into the air, so i asked him to write down that estimate. He said he would e-mail it to me. didn't leave me a business card, company brochure, or anything. didn't receive an e-mail estimate from him. I called and left messages three times ( no one ever answers the phone there) and tried contacting them through their website twice. It's been about a month, and no replies. I suggest Angie's list consider dropping them from a listed vendor.

 + 1 moreReplaced all doors and draw fronts in our kitchen and installed a new granite counter top. Also moved some cabinets and relocated fridge. Alan did a fabulous job and the kitchen and 30 doors and 15 draws look like a brand new kitchen. We highly recommend him and will use again to do our vanities when the time comes.

 + 1 moreBoth Alan and the crew that installed the granite were amazing. My kitchen had the cheapest builder cabinets imaginable. All flat with a corian countertop that someone had scratched with knives and a corian sink that was all cracked. My kitchen is now a showpiece. Alan and the crew that did the work, were neat, prompt and answered any concerns immediately. The day after the cabinet doors were installed, I notice a minor problem that most people wouldn't even care about. When I called Alan to ask him if he could fix it, he was there within an hour. When I redo my bathrooms, I won't bother to get any other estimates. Alan will be the only one I call.
Description of Work: We had the doors replaced on our cabinets and had a new granite countertop and sink installed.

 + 1 moreAlan did an outstanding job from start to finish. He was here when he said he would be and returned all phone calls. Alan is one of the hardest working people I have ever met. He did not even stop to eat, eating while he worked and never takes a break. He completed the job in two days and when he left you would never have known he was here. He cleaned up every scrap, sweep the garage floor and hauled all scrap away. In addition to all of that, Alan is a very nice guy and it was a pleasure to have him in and home and watch him work. Do not expect Alan to spend a lot of time talking to you he is too busy working. We would have Alan do work for us again in a heartbeat! We love our new kitchen!!! Thank you Alan!!  + -1 moreThey showed up on time to measure the job and to inspect the work to be done. They were very timely in giving a quote to us and helping us determine what would be the next right step in our project. They were very thorough with regards to the different types of products that were available to us. There were basically 3 different qualities and 3 different styles and priced appropriately for each one. As far as the timing and response back to us, it was within 3 days depending on whether it was over the weekend or not. It wasn't any longer than 3 days' time to get back to us.
Description of Work: We got a quote from Just Face It Cabinet Refacing for resurfacing of kitchen cabinets and 2 bathroom vanities.

 + -1 moreOur experience with Just Face It was good. Alan is a very hard worker and certainly knows what he is doing. We really appreciate his help.
Description of Work: We wanted to reface our kitchen. We contacted Alan. The next day he came to the house. We explained vaguely what we wanted. He offered suggestions and provided us with a free estimate. He is a very punctual and conscientious worker. He got right to work as soon as he arrived and didn't even want to take a break. He finished the job in only two days. We are absolutely delighted with the new look of our old kitchen! He certainly did his best to accommodate our requests. Great job!

Description of Work: They called back to setup and inspection. When they arrived, they were confused and seemed to be aggrevated or dismayed by the questions/requests. We explained in detail what we wanted, even provided photos from magazines, and again, he seemed confused by our requests. He called me a few day sleter with a quote, which I accepted. He then called back to say he couldnt get confortable with his quote until we actually went to the stone yard to pick out the counters we wanted (we asked for white carrera marble). I couldnt understand how he could prepare a quote and then tell us he was uncomfortable with his quote. We attempted to locate the stone yard based on his directions and were not able to find the yard, so we dropped the entire project and decided to buy new cabinets instead of dealing with this constractor. He has never caled us to check whether we picked out a stone, etc.

Description of Work: I needed my kitchen remodeled but, could not afford to start from scratch. Alan, explained how refacing and replacing the old counters could make a huge improvement. He did all that with precision and care. He later built me a new pantry that doubled my space.

 + 1 moreOverall, I consider the experience good. The granite work was contracted out to a second company and while the final job was not quite what I expected, it was just fine. Alan measured and installed the doors and again, while there were some minor ordering issues delaying the completion of the project, the final product is a good looking new kitchen. Good enough, in fact, I now need to begin considering replacing some appliances.
Description of Work: I originally called for an estimate on a granite counter top. When Alan, visited, we also discusses the possible refacing of all of my cabinet deals. The final agreement covered both.
