seemed to know what she was doing, but no follow up
Description of Work: we asked for the decorator to come in and coordinate colors. I expected this to be done on the spot, however was told she would email suggestions mid the following week. It has been almost a week past and we still have no suggestions, yet our 150.00 check has been cashed.

Response from Island Paint & Decorating Center
When a potential customer calls our store to set up an appointment for a color consultation- the first thing we do is explain how the process works, which is: The designer will come to your home, select colors, and then there is a follow-up in the store to wrap-up and allow the client to get samples. During the initial appointment I specifically mentioned the in-store follow up and the couple told me the drive to our store would not present a problem. After my appointment with this client on the 6th, I sent a follow-up email to both contact emails provided to me on July 9th containing product recommendations, as well as the color selections made during our appointment. On July 20th, the client called and said they had never received an email with their color recommendations. I immediately found my original email and resent the information. The client replied saying that she didn't find the information helpful and that she expected a computer rendering of the colors selected on her actual walls. There is no statement ever of this being something we provide to our customers. In a follow-up email I restated our policy of a 2nd in-store appointment, during which we review selections and can make up actual samples of paint since computer renderings rarely are a reliable way to choose color, and that was when the client said she was not happy with the service and asked for a refund of her consultation fee. Since the work was done to the best of my ability, and the client received my color recommendations, I chose not to refund their fee. This was simply an issue of miss-communication and I feel I did everything I could to remedy the situation.

They have a designer there by name Terri Pentz, who does beautiful work. I spent about $100 on the purchase. They were very nice to work with. I would certainly use them again in the future.

They have a beautiful selection of furniture and lamps. They really are a full service design center.
Description of Work: They had a designer come to my house to give me ideas for redecorating and I purchased things from them.
