Buffkin Tile & Carpet

When we moved into our house in late 2015, we hired Bufkin Tile to take out the carpet from the master bedroom and second bedroom and install tile. At that time, the back patio was enclosed and we had a large concrete patio added outside of the enclosed patio. Bufkin Tile also installed the new tile for the back patio. In January 2022, we finally decided to take out the existing wall separating the enclosed patio from the one that was "outdoors" and enclose the entire patio to make a large Florida room. Of course, when the existing wall was removed, there would be a gap in the tile. Luckily, we still had some leftover tile. Rob from Bufkin was happy to come out to our house and check out the project. While he was there, he also noticed another tile that needed to be replaced. He gave us an estimate on the spot that was well below what we expected. We told Rob about our plans and he said no problem, just let him know when the rest of the work is done and they would come over and take care of the tile. He took a piece of the existing grout with him to match the color. Okay, the screen enclosure is completed on a Friday in April and Bufkin Tile comes over the following Wednesday to remove the existing tiles, prep the floor for the new tile, and place the new tiles. On Thursday Dave came to grout not only the newly installed tiles but the entire length of the patio where it meets the house. He is truly the best grouter in the business. It is an absolutely beautiful job. But, we're not done yet. Dave came back on Friday to do an acid wash to make the already perfect job absolutely spotless. We've counted on Bufkin Tile for several different tile installation jobs over several years. They ALWAYS exceed our expectations. Every person who works for Bufkin is an artist. We would never consider hiring anyone else.

Fair except they increased the amount of the project after the fact. The quote they gave and what they charged was not he same. If the price was going to be different then the quote they should communicated that.

I hired one of their installers, Exact Tile. Ricky Baden was the foreman and he was on top of things from ordering, to being onsite the first day of work and throughout the project. I had half my house tiled and a master bath, including the floor, tub surround and shower. They did a beautiful job and left no mess at all. AND they were done in 3 days with over 700 feet of flooring. I worked with Buffkin to pick out and order my tile - that was onsite in a day. I was extremely happy all around! I was looking all over for slate tile that would go with my table. One piece had broken and I couldn't find a replacement. I went to Bufkin Tile and Z. Parker who was working their at the time went around and looked back in their storage and found the tile that I needed. What a blessing this was for me. She was so kind and she referred me to another person to help me with my vinyl floor planks, John Bryant with JDB Custom Tile and he came out and helped me fix a floor that the company who had installed would not come out and fix. I had waited a year for this company to help me out and it took this one referral and John came out the next day and fixed it for me and only charged me $35.00/

Their staff is down to earth but very professional, their materials are high quality and their installations are as flawless as it gets. When we built our home (20 years ago) we chose natural clay mexican tile. After the house settled over the course of the first year, we had approximately 30 tiles that had cracked - one into the other in a long line. Buffkin came back, replaced everyone of those tiles - did not make a mess - and didn't charge us a cent. That's just one example of the high level of service you can expect when choosing Buffkin to provide your floors.

We were very impressed!!! Working with the sales guy was a positive experience. Getting quote was straight forward. Salesman was very trustworthy. They made an effort to accommodate our schedule before movers were coming. There were two installers.... Their workmanship was meticulous. They were perfectionist over every detail. Our floors look fantastic! We will be a returning customer!

Couldn't ask for a better group of guys to do the work. They were a pleasure to work with. Mr Bufkin showed up to oversee and suggested they cut a border tile which they did and it turned out great. Have used them before and would only use them for future projects. The guy that laid the tile was a perfectionist so it looks absolutely beautiful. So pleased!!! Terrific assistance with the design from the store staff. Mr. Buff kin came out to measure and to finalize the details. He was knowledgeable helpful and his design input was great. Crews were promp and did excellent work - and left my home clean. They coordinated with the other trades. I have used Buffkin for carpet. I will use only them for all tile work and floor covering in the future.

We had purchased tile elsewhere and it was all defective. ..all of it. We had to scramble to find new tile that would work 8n our new kitchen. .. they were reapectful, couldn't have been more helpful or responsive...we had the tile in a few days...and it looks great!

The outcome of all the tile work was very good - both the flooring and back splash. Some of the mastic clean up and re-installation of appliances, toilet and door work had minor issues but that was manageable. Buffkin were very helpful on the sales end selecting the tile and scheduling the work. It was some times difficult to communicate with the installation coordinator. I'm not sure if he actually reads his email. I would suggest a phone message if needing to communicate. There was a communication issue on sound underlayment for the floor tile. The coordinator thought we needed it in our condo building and we didn't actually need or plan to have it installed. Since I wasn't on site I was not aware of this installation until after it was complete. The installation coordinator was going to eat the cost but I offered to split the difference in fairness since we wanted it but thought the $4K was more than we wanted to pay for it. Very impressive customer interaction.

Everything went well and on schedule. I noticed a very tiny scratch on the tile around the drain. I called Bob and he had the guys come back out and they cut that piece of tile out.and they replaced that piece of tile. They were most professional and were in and out in no time.

They get high marks for helpfulness in the showroom and high marks generally. The only caveat is they recalculated the square footage needed and edited what the contractor submitted. He then ran low and we had a delay in getting more tiles. He had to drive to another location to get what he needed.

They have a wide incredible selection of tiles.

They are very good. They were very friendly, very courteous,and it was very pleasant doing business with them. They were very helpful. When they didn't have the tiles at their local store, they called their other store. I would definitely use them again.

Professional quote, professional installation. This company is not the cheapest nor the most expensive. Installation makes all the difference, regardless of the product. Service is critical and you can count on Buffkin to stand behind their job. One of my bedrooms didn't have the best caulking job, but with one call they came out and re-caulked. I recently had Buffkin out for a quote on replacing the tile in my shower. On-time, professional and courteous. I haven't replaced my shower yet but I will use Buffkin when I do. Tip: if you have a smaller job, check out their discounted goods in their Merritt Island warehouse - awesome products at a great price if you don't mind looking through the boxes. Friendly helpful staff is not arrogant and willing to help. Great company!

Bob arrived right on time, actually a little early which I really like, took all of his measurements, prepared a quote and had it submitted back to me the same day, hand-delivered. He was professional, on-time, and did not take much of my time at all. I am still waiting for a supplement payment from my homeowner's insurance company to get my kitchen remodel started, but Buffkin is near the top of my list for updating my flooring.

Work went very well and was completed in a professional manner and on time. The installers were polite and very clean.

Could not ask for a better job. From tile selection in Merritt Island store, to job estimate, to tile installation took four days. Workmen were prompt and professional, ensured quality work, and cleaned up well at completion of job. I highly recommend Buffkin for any tile job. Have no doubt they would do equally well on any floor job.

Picked the tile at the melbourne store, where staff was very helpful. Installers came out of Merritt Island store and were terrific. Knew which direction it would look best, helped pick the perfect grout, and even came equipped with the perfect travertine thresholds to complete the job. Cleaned up nicely. Yes they were a tiny bit more expensive than the discount places. The professional result was well worth it. Only complaint was one day they did not come and did not call. But all is forgiven! Gorgeous floors!

The tiles I ordered were available as promised. Each box was checked for damaged tiles, which were replaced with no problems. Previous experience and reputation of this company keeps me going back and referring other friends to this group.

I liked them because they were only half a block from the other store. They have been there for a long time. I have been in there probably maybe a half a dozen times, probably looking for some kind of a tile.
