We went over to their office, showed them photographs of our kitchen, shown them drawings and then they worked up a quote. The cabinets were to be $12500 and the installation $500 however I don’t recall the quote for the counter tops. The quote process went well. We did not go ahead with it because we were not ready for it.

Apollo Kitchens hired D.C.S.Inc. as general contractor to do the demolition and construction of kitchen. Michael Cooksey installed custom porcelain tile in kitchen, dining room and living room. Very happy with all work and their work ethic. At the end of every day, they cleaned all work areas. It was a long process but definitely worth it. Tammy Marshall of Apollo Kitchens went above and beyond helping us pick out cabinets, granite and tile. Larry of D.C.S. Inc. did an excellent job extending a wall to accommodate a new larger wall oven. Very professional team of people and would work with all of them again.
Description of Work: Coordinated the remodel of our kitchen, dining room and foyer. Hired the contractor and sub contractors to gut the kitchen, removal of existing flooring and walls and part of a ceiling.

We have a 1920's house which is not on a slab. It is raised anywhere from 6-12 inches about the ground. Our best guess is that the kitchen was last remodeled in the 1970's. It had a drop sealing and the floor was rotten all the way through two layers of subflooring. The floor also did not have adequate support in spots. Tammy came by and gave us an extremely reasonable estimate for the cabinets, quartz countertop, and all installation. We needed a contractor to repair the floor and replace the ceiling among other things, so Tammy recommended her husband, Larry. We were going to be out of town for the majority of the work, so we needed someone we felt comfortable leaving unattended. Larry brainstormed with us to come up with solutions for raising the ceiling and repairing the floor. He was neat, clean, reliable, and trustworthy. He did a beautiful job at a great price. He was even kind enough to accept deliveries for us and let other contractors in when we were not home. We ended up with a wood bead-board sloped ceiling which follows the line of the roof and a stained concrete floor. (He did the prep for the floor, but not the concrete. We used a concrete guy.) Tammy was a gem. She was patient as we changed our minds many times about the design before finally ordering the cabinets. She returned texts and phone calls promptly; sometimes as late as 10pm. She managed the entire job since, as I mentioned, we were out of town for most of the work. She called nightly with progress reports and sent photos as major portions of the job were completed. As with all major renovations, there were glitches, but she stood by her product and we came up with solutions. We are extremely pleased with the result!

The entire process was very satisfactory. My wife and I had many things to figure out and took several months from our first contact with Tammy to finally decide how to proceed. Tammy is very patient and helpful and steered us through many of the choices we had to make. Once work started, the progress was rapid, although there are unavoidable delays at certain points (fabricating granite, which depends on cabinet installation, then fabrication of the glass walls, which depends on granite installation). The overall project took a couple weeks longer than anticipated. During ripout and construction, the area was kept very clean. We never had to navigate around messes inside or out. Tammy was extremely accessible; if a problem cropped up she would call or text, and if I needed to talk to her I either got her immediately or within an hour or two. This is in stark contrast to when our kitchen was remodeled a few years ago (a different contractor). There were a few little problems, but they were dealt with very quickly and to our satisfaction. We have one lingering issue, a somewhat ill-fitting door between the bedroom and bathroom. The workmen attempted to correct it with only small improvement. They made other suggestions, but we have decided to let it go for now. This is our decision, not a refusal to attempt to correct the problem, and is a minor issue in any case.
Description of Work: Master bathroom was stripped to the studs; old floor covering and soffit over vanity were removed. A 24" exterior door was removed. The 24" door to the master bedroom was removed. In the master bedroom and closet, the old carpeting and ceiling popcorn were removed. All removed material was removed from the property. New larger door were installed in the interior and exterior entrances to the bathroom. New closet and entry doors were installed in the bedroom. Bedroom and closet ceilings were skip-troweled. A new porcelain tile floor was installed in all three areas. A new shower pan was built in place with an angled door. All new sheetrock was installed, along with bracing for several handicap support bars. The shower walls were built to 42" height. The shower walls and floor were covered with matching tile (to the ceiling on the tall walls), with the tile extending to surround the toilet to 42" high. We also had a niche built into one shower wall to serve as a storage area for shampoo bottles and other shower paraphenalia. New vanity and storage cabinets were installed. A granite vanity top and sink were installed, along with matching granite caps on top of the 42" walls and shower doorway. A matching windowsill was installed in the master bedroom. The 42" high walls were topped with frameless glass panels extending another another 42". A frameless full-height door was installed. A lot of minor electrical work was performed, including reinstalling an existing fan/light combination with separate switches for the main light and night light, and a timer for the fan. LED lighting was installed under the cabinets and a wqterproof light over the shower. Minor plumbing was also done, including replacing leaking valves in the laundry room.

I went very well. Very professional job.
Description of Work: Tammy was very professional .Very prompt service and good workmanship. and very honest. I would highly recommend appollo kitchen.
The project is launched and there will be updates as work begins and finishes. March 25 Update: The planning of this project went perfectly and now the extensive time consuming work has started. Tammy (Apollo Kitchen & Bath) knows we are unable to visit the site (we are on travel) and she is feeding us a stream of progress reports. Her telephone calls and emails with pictures attached provides us with a wonderful snapshot of what is happening to our condo. We believe this job will be exactly as we envisioned. It will be at least another month before the project is completed but with Tammy's management skills it will be finished on time and as planned, thanks Tammy; and thanks to Craig and his experienced team of professionals. May 17 Update: This project is a little off schedule however that was due to the delay in manufacturing of the Quartz counter tops. That delay created a work around to bring water into the kitchen area. Craig installed a temporary counter and sink allowing for somewhat normal living within a condo under major refurbishment. The counter tops are in; the installer did a great job and the quartz counters caps off a beautiful set of cherry cabinets. Plumbing the kitchen, and two baths brings the project to just about an end. There are a few minor items that need attention and those are scheduled for next week. Apollo Kitchen & Bath did a terrific job in a very short period of time. Tammy Marshall as project manager coordinated the complex series of tasks and kept us informed with many phone calls and email updates. We were on travel for an extended time and Tammy understood our reliance on her good judgement and critical eye. Craig takes pride in his efforts and things have to be right to satisfy him before he considers the job ready for review. We're pleased with the efforts and extremely pleased with the results and can recommend Tammy Marshall (Apollo Kitchen & Bath) for any sized job of home refurbishment.
Description of Work: We selected Apollo Kitchen from Angie's List way back in December 2012 as our potential contractor for our yet to be purchased condo. The condo was 1985 vintage and it needed a complete makeover. We needed some guidance and Tammy stepped up and helped us through the difficult selection process. There was a long delay from December until we had a closing on March 1st but Tammy stayed with us and endured the many changes in our plans. After four visits and multiple exchanges of design details we settled on an outstanding plan at a very reasonable price. Tammy now has the key and she will begin the process of ordering cherry wood cabinets, quartz slabs for counter tops, porcelain flooring tile and all the sinks and plumbing necessary to renew our condo.

I did not pay anything because I did not find a contractor. We are still in the planning stage. I have not met the actual contractor that is going to demolish our kitchen. I have met with Tammy. I am very pleased. She came to our house and did all the estimates; then, we went to her shop, and she had it all laid out. I got to pick out what I preferred.

Description of Work: Apollo Kitchen remodeled our kitchen down to the "studs". This included demolition, installation of new cabinets, plumbing, and lighting (I am sure there is more!). Tammy and Larry are customer oriented understand the importance of timely response and great service. We cannot say enough good things about Apollo Kitchens. Larry is the cleanest general contractor we have ever seen.
