After a few days they called and said they got jammed up and weren’t able to fix it yet. I told them that’s fine, but I’m going to need my phone back in the mean time. The next week I still didn't have my phone back, so I called back, and they apologized again. They told me the owner would send my phone back along with the payment I gave them. I still didn’t get it. The next week, I went into the store to get my phone. I spoke to the owner, and overheard him asking someone in the back of the store about my phone. Whoever he was speaking to said they didn't know anything about it. He said he'd go and check in his car, and sure enough it was there. I took my phone and money order and left. I wasn't interested in doing business with them anymore.
Description of Work: I sent my phone to Xtreme Repairs to be fixed. I had a problem with the trackball.

We have apologized to the member and he was given his money back, as the work was never done on his phone. We were originally misinformed as to which phone he was sending in. We were of the understanding that he was sending in a newer model BlackBerry with a trackball, as we were told that it was the trackball that was not functioning. What we were sent was a much, much older model that does not even use a trackball, but rather a click wheel on the side (the kind that they made before they were giving them away for free at auto repair shops and the like). Also the phone had other problems such as cracks on the inside of the housing. There was a mixup as we were trying to send the phone back in the mail (even though he lives about 20 minutes away from our store). We did have several conversations on the phone with the member before he came into our store and received his money and his phone back in which he showed no concern and seemed rather laid back about the situation, insisting that there was no rush. We gave him his money back and his phone, and charged nothing for the parts that were ordered (that we will now never use). Since then the member has bashed our company on Google, Yelp, and now Angie's List, even though technically he has never had any work done. Again, we apologize for not being able to get the repair done as quickly as we both would have liked, but we would sincerely appreciate if the member would please stop bashing our company. We handle thousands of phones, video game consoles and computers each year and have many repeat customers and are always highly recommended to others, but people are more likely to actually write a review when they've had a bad experience than a good one, which is bad for people who are actually reading reviews to find a good place to go to.
