White House Inspections

I hired this company to do inspection of a home I was purchasing. They did not find any issue. Two weeks after inspection I moved in the home and found many problems that these guys missed. 1) leak in guest bathroom 2) leak in outside faucet 3) leak in master bath toilet 4) sink in master bath not draining 5) dishwasher was broken DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. THEY DONT DO GOOD JOB.

The inspector came out already in a bad mood because he couldn’t start when he wanted (30 mins prior to agreed upon time), said the house was too hot, that it smelled, that “this house would take all day” and that he did not think that we would ever be able to get insurance on the house. (He is not an insurance agent, got insurance quote that same day after explaining condition of property) Being green as we are we followed his word and did the cancellation which worked out perfect for him. He got $300 out of us, only had to be there for 1 hour and got to get to the other houses he “already had scheduled”. The house is in need of A LOT of work ( we are well aware) but we were expecting to not be able to get insurance like he said. That is not the case. The inspection was suppose to give us an idea of what things needed to be fixed first. If I could do it over again I would have hired someone else or had him do the job I hired him to do.

Phil White and his team did an excellent job on the new home inspection. They arrived on time and got right to work. They were very thorough and found action items that a layperson would have missed. Everything is documented very well and pictures were taken of the house and all the mechanical items. Phil gave great advice and is very knowledgeable. His team was professional, knowledgeable and pleasant. I would highly recommend them to anyone buying a new or older home.

Inspector was very prompt, prepared and generally very professional however the report contained errors and I feel the documentation should have been recorded more accurately. Specifically, the age of the Air Handler was recorded incorrectly. Several years off, even though the manufacture date is clearly marked directly on the until. This discrepancy (along with more discrete questionable verbiage) makes me question the accuracy of the rest of the report.

Mr. White and his team did a great job and answered all my questions. Mr. White went over his report which was completed quickly and email to me. The price seemed a little high but you get what you pay for!

We noticed a strong smell of mold & mildew upon turning off AC for the cooler weather & opening our windows. Of course' I panicked. We've all heard about the nightmare mold stories, especially in Florida. Mr. Phil White, owner & inspector, arrived right on time after I called to schedule appt. I was expecting someone to just take a couple of air samples & get the results about a week out. Instead, Phil was here speaking to my husband & I for over an hour. He looked at & addressed every concern we had; explained everything thoroughly & clearly; intelligently explained the pros & cons of our duct system, soffit, fascia, ventilation, etc. Being a fellow parent, he took into account the health & safety of our children, genuinely. He gave us advice on where we should focus our efforts & warned us about red flags that could potentially pop up in the future. He even offered suggestions & advice on other home systems aside from the reason we hired him that day. I felt that he was genuinely looking out for our family the way a close friend or family member would, and even went over appropriate costs & price ranges for other possible work we may have done in the future. He really takes the time to educate his customers. I love that. In hindsight, I could have very easily been overcharged for unnecessary services: I was emotionally distressed over the potential of having a mold problem, have 3 small children, had visible mold & a very strong smell of mold outside our home. I was a sitting duck for getting taken advantage. I cannot say enough about Mr. Phil White, owner of White House Inspections. He demonstrates professionalism, thoroughness & care. He is an honest, intelligent inspector & it is obvious he has extremely high moral & ethical standards, strong work ethic, pride for his business & integrity. We are in the process of looking for a larger house to purchase. I will absolutely be using White House for our pre-sale home inspection & will turn to Phil for advice, opinions & strategies as long as we are home owners'. You Rock Phil! Phil provided a complete package for a home inspection prior to purchase in Indian Harbour Beach. On time and fair priced services were provided. Inspection overview and documentation was excellent. Once the inspection was completed all issues were pointed out and reviewed. Phil provided good recommendations for the house strapping (that we did use and were very satisfied as well) to take advantage of insurance premium savings.

Thoroughly and honestly inspected and reported back to my husband and me on a condo we were considering buying. We felt confident purchasing the property after White House Inspections went through it and reported on potential issues we would face in the future as well as ruled out existing issues. We will not hesitate to use their services in the future. Your interests will be represented by this company, I highly recommend using them.

Thorough but not thorough enough. Found a lot of things they missed afterwords. Problem in roof, they only use binoculars and don't climb on roof. Number of electrical issues, plugs that don't work. Inspected pool supposedly, pool actually has a leak, black mold, and grout issues in the tile.Inspector simply said "Pool bottom is stained and deteriorated in areas. Pool will need to be resurfaced in future."

They did an excellent job. Prompt, professional and answered all my questions. Very thorough. They walked me through the report on their laptop on site, and later that day I got the written report via email. I would highly recommend this company.

The technician was very professional, punctual and was interested in determining if I had mold and not in performing demolition where it was unnecessary. He made sure I didn't have mold by running all the samples. Once I determined there was no mold - following a roof repair, it gave me peace of mind that I wouldn't have future problems with water or ceiling/wall mold.
