We paid several thousand to get a screen enclosure installed in January. It wasn't done correctly so it didn't pass inspection with the city. I've been calling for months and Tripod aluminum doesn't seem to care at all. They say that they'll call or come out and they haven't once called me to let me know if they'll fix the poor job that was done. A fixture was left hanging dangerously and blocked an exit. I had to pay someone $400 to fix what was damaged by Tripod. I spoke to Tripod about it and not surprisingly, they didn't care and said I'd have to pay for that myself. With hurricane season coming up, I have a huge screen enclosure that isn't bolted down correctly and I'm scared of what damage it can do and it worries me that this business doesn't care. Please do business elsewhere and don't waste your time and money.

Our pool contractor hired Tripod to install our commercial-grade pool screen. Tripod held up pool completion for two months before they finally installed the screen. Six months later, we noticed a rather dumb design in one section that was installed with no slope and was collecting debris. It also interfered with hurricane rouladin we wanted to install below it. They never returned our request for bids. We called again 6 months later, and they said to wait 2 months for a representative to come out and draft a bid. Their representative came, promised a bid in 48 hours - that was 6 weeks ago. Over 3 months and still no bid. We have already contracted a competitor. The screen they installed was structurally sound, but their service is not bad, it is nonexistent.
Description of Work: Installed screen for our new commercial-grade pool.

Didn't go that well on any of the jobs with regards to return calls. They have a habit of not returning phone calls. Missing install dates and not letting you know. Been trying to get them out to repair wind damage for the past month. Called a number of times, told that they would get back to me. Never did. However, if they ever get to you, they do great work. They showed up 2/14/17 and fix the wind damage to my pool enclosure. Did a great job, worth the wait, though aggravating when they don't return your calls.
Description of Work: I contracted Tripod for a pool enclosure ($11,500) in March of 2005, wasn't done until April of 2006. Understandably that was the worst hurricane season on record. In July of 2012 I had a screen door installed. They sent a worker who spent most of the time on the phone with family matters. The job was done poorly, I held the balance of the price of the job until it was done properly. ($970) Other service calls went Ok, late but ok.

Read above. I would not use them again. Calls & e-mails to the office met with NO RESPONSE. Up date/ 10/18/2012 Tripod Aluminum sent another crew to adjust the first crews mistakes. So, the installation of the pool screen in 2005, I'll give them an (A), but the hassle with the latest job is still a (C).
Description of Work: I contracted with Tripod Aluminum, Inc. to install a screen door, and to repair a pool enclosure that they had installed in 2005. They did a fabulous job on the pool enclosure, that is why I decided to use them to install a new screen door. Big mistake. I signed the contract on March 22, 2012, the job was to be done before I left for an scheduled extended vacation on May 1st. I heard nothing from them, so one week before my trip I called them. I was told that they had just received a large contract, and that I would have to wait. Nice! When I returned from my trip I called them to be put back on the schedule. July 5th, the installer shows up with no material. Ooops, THE SUPPLYER sent the wrong door. Now, I wasn't born yesterday, and have heard the excuse before. Here is is July 26th and the installed door has a gap at the bottom, of about 1/8 inch. More than a half a dozen bolts that were to be drilled out and replaced, were not.

No one showed up to do the work. Called and the assistant said he (Chris Cramer) was sick, and she took a message and said I would get a call another day regarding when the job would get started. Until now I haven't heard from anyone, wont even think to waist my time to contact them. Moving on to another company that has better integrity and professionalism.

Mr. Tripodi is the owner of the company. It was very good to work with his company. We did have a little bit of a problem with one of their subcontractors. He was the concrete guy and he is no longer working for them, but they took care of everything else. So I can?t complain. I am very happy with the final result. The price wasn?t cheap and was in line with others. The owner did help us out and we got down to the nitty-gritty of the thing. So it was a good experience. I would hire them again.
Description of Work: We had an extension put on our lanai by Tripod Aluminum Inc in April. We originally had a 10 foot by 16 foot lanai on the back of our home. We had 16 feet added to that. So it turned out to be 26 by 26 with a screen enclosure over it.

The job was late getting started and took longer than anticipated. The company only assigned two men to erect it and it was a large pool enclosure. The workmen were polite but did not clean up their work site every evening. At one point, a huge steel beam was left over the pool for an entire weekend (they were not working on Saturday afternoon and Sunday) which made it very difficult to enjoy the pool. They also left building material and drink cups laying around. We even had to take in their electric tools because of rain one evening. The frame was not pre-drilled (we were told by the workmen that it should have been pre-drilled at the factory), hence the drilling was done on site, leaving metal shavings all over the pool deck, yard and in the screen itself. We had to vacuum every evening to try to get up the shavings because we have pets who needed to use the backyard and had to walk through these shavings. We were concerned about getting them in our feet, etc. We called the company several times to complain about the metal shavings, but did not get any satisfaction. At one point the younger brother of the owner came out but offered no solution. I think the thing that was the most frustrating was the lack of "concern" about the metal shavings and our dissatisfaction with the messy process.
Description of Work: Constructed and erected a pool enclosure.
