Woke up to a leaking 12 year old water heater but in the end had an excellent experience with this company replacing it on the same day. From the initial phone call to schedule a time to the completion of the installation they were very professional. They requested photos of the current setup to make sure that everything needed was going to be in the truck before they came out to do the installation. I also received a phone call before they were heading to my location. The technician went over the installation and explained some of the maintenance aspects of the heater. REVISED 24 hours later: NO after hours or weekend support. I am editing this review 24 hours later because although I was very pleased with the work performed during the gas heater installation Friday afternoon, a couple of hours later I noticed a smell of gas in my garage where the unit had just been installed. I shut off the gas valve, ventilated the area, and later I decided to open the valve again and test for leaks around the gas connection to the water heater using a soap solution and a brush. I found that there was a small gas leak, so I shut off the valve again. By then it was between 7 and 8 PM so I decided to contact SPR Plumbing, since on the website they state that they have 24 hour emergency service available. I called but got an answering machine. I contacted them via the website also and received no response. Saturday morning I called again and left a 2nd message, but no response. Saturday afternoon, I ended up disconnecting the gas line from the heater and reconnecting it myself after placing an o-ring and some PTFE tape between the connections. After tightening the connection the leak stopped and I was able to turn on the heater again. The main point is that it is for cases like this one that there should be a way to reach someone after hours and on weekends. 24 hour energency service is advertised on their website but there is only one number to call and it has been going to voice mail.

Absolutely excellent replacement of a hot water heater with a very tight space for replacement (manufactured home closet). Had several companies say no hot water heater would ever go into that closet again, and if leaking, would leak everywhere (just like mine was doing, though I had had it repaired, it was functioning but still had small leaks that went directly to closet floor). Office staff at SPR stayed in touch and asked for measurements and working out what I wanted. I really felt like she was listening, and she absolutely knew what to do to make the project run smooth, like "take pictures and dimensions of the closet" and what is it you would really like? Never lived in manufactured home before, and the hot water heater I inherited was a mess, pipes in front, and no way if it leaked, would it go anywhere but on the floor cuz it had no drip pan, nothing, no drain, nothing. I requested a drip pan (if one could possibly ever fit in that small closet) and a way to shut it off if malfunctioning, and hopefully, a way to re-direct any water except on the floor. AMEN, SPR found a heater that barely fit (1in clearance in door opening, smallest one made) and David, the amazing plumber, actually redid all the piping and added a drip pan with a pipe that if tank ever leaked, would totally go outside and not on the floor ever again. Also the way he redid the piping made the closet and the hot water heater clean and easy to ever turn off, do maintenance on and get to the elements. Amazing company, amazing office people and super amazing David who went above just installing a unit, and made absolutely sure it fully worked with no leaks under house or in closet before leaving.

Excellent work, but a little more than I expected. I would definitely use them again, but would nail down the estimate before they come out. He arrived 45 minutes late due to traffic.
