I took my ipad mini to irepair on August 12, 2015 and was told they would keep the ipad overnight to complete the repair. A few hours later Ron the owner of the shop called and said that a part inside of the unit was broken and that he would have to send it to a repair center. This would take 10 days and I agreed to the additional repair. Two weeks later (August 26th, since I figured it would be 10 business days) I called to ask about my unit. I was told that the repair center had received the unit which was shipped to them on August 17th. A week later, I called again. I was told the repair center was working on my unit, but they could not promise that it would be back before September 11, when I was planning a trip. I was also told that the repair center was in florida, but that it could take 4-5 days to be shipped back. I was not happy but said ok and hung up. The owner Ron then called me back and told me I hung up on his employee and began to educate me on how his business worked, something he said he didn't do with all customers. Obviously because I thought that the repair would take 10 days not 4 weeks. He was very rude and would not let me finish a sentence, and took everything I said as an insult to his business. I won't get into all the details but it was very ugly. I had to hold the phone 10 inches away from my head to avoid hurting my ear. Here is how his business works, you can make up your own mind as to if you want to use them. 1. The unit did not ship for 3 days because he had to order a part before shipping. 2. He must ship the slowest way possible because he said it only cost him $2 and took 4-6 days to get to a location within the state of FL. 3. The 10 days is the time the repair center takes to fix the unit. His only solution to my getting the unit back was to have the repair center to send it back unrepaired. This is after they had already started working on it. By the end he go so mad at me that is what he said he was going to do (not authorized the repair). I figured that the repair center wouldn't go for that since they had already started, but did not say so to Ron. A week later (4 weeks after I dropped it off) I was called to say the unit was repaired and ready to pick up. I never received an apology or an I'm sorry for the delay or misunderstanding. On the plus side, the unit does work properly and the cost was actually $3 less than I was expecting.
