Avoid. Over 4 serious and significant issues deteriorated significantly in the last 8 months requiring frequent intervention of route manager. Let them go because issues got beyond their control and a few dead/dying plants. Needed a fresh set of eyes; got inspections from two other locally-owned companies who came to the same conclusion. Hired one on the spot. And I saved $50…It’s obvious the customer suffers at the expense of owner Steve Lum’s excessive advertising budget.

We spoke to them originally in getting the weeds under control and that was our main objective. As months went by, the weeds were still there and getting worse in areas. I addressed with the tech and called the office to no avail. I wanted someone other than the tech to come out and address our issues. Then we started geting brown patch. Called about that too along with weed issues. No-one ever came out to address issues. All's they did was send the tech. I even sent the main guy Floyd an email to address issues with our lawn and never got a response. No-one ever called back to find out exactly what was going on. Floyd came out to check out or lawn and give us an estimate originally.. He told us to make sure to keep in touch with him about our service if we were not happy and he would take care of. He totally ignored our calls and emails. Do not use them. I know other people in our neighborhood got rid of them too. FYI, the chemicals they use directly out of the truck is watered down so you are not getting the full strength as you should and paying for. When he walks around with th back pack sprayer, that chemical is the 100%. Was told to me by a couple of their technicians.....I just attached a couple of photos. This is just the start.....of what our lawn looks like after a year of service by them

Ants are gone and they have checked several times to insure issue resolved. They also responded to another issue we were having on a next day appt.

When I called, everyone was courteous and I was able to get an appt that fit my schedule. The initial inspector told us exactly what was going on and our technician came to treat our home 4 days after. The technician even came back by our home two weeks later to retreat the out side of our house because it rained shortly after he did the initial treatment and he wanted to ensure his work.

I like their responsiveness if there is any additional issues. Say if they come in and spray for bugs and then a week later you see a couple bugs around you call them and they will come out and take care of it. Their response to any questions you have, I really appreciate that.

It's an independent company, there's just the one store, that's it. They're a pretty good size. I think they've got 20 trucks on the road. I've been using them about 28 years. I see them every second month.

They do treatments for ornamentals, bushes, lawns, trees, you name it. Of course, they do the house for bugs for the house and stuff like that. They are good, I’ve used them for years. I’ve used them in buildings and commercially. They are reasonably priced and good. On the rear end since I have a problem, they come right out the next day. I pay them by computer. The price was fair, I don’t think anybody does it cheaper. They will in probably another couple of weeks and I will get another bill for $83 next time for another thing or whatever. They leave me a note.

I don’t have any complaints. The previous people who lived in our house used them so we just like keep it up. I mean if they did horrible work, I’ll find somebody else but they didn’t do that.

They are great! Used years and years. Always efficient and ready to answer questions. Never had bugs.

Slug-A-Bug is by far the best pest control company I've dealt with. After dealing with another termite control company who was completely devoid of integrity, we retained Slug-A-Bug's services to treat our property with Termidor and provide us with a termite bond. They have gone far above the call of duty in supporting us on other services beyond the scope of that contract. I am extremely grateful for their integrity as well as their commitment to me as a customer. They are the very best of the best. I recommend Slug-A-Bug, based on the level of service and attention they provide, without reservation. They know their industry better than anyone I've encountered and the level of commitment they've shown to me is unusual to find these days.

They come at no charge if I am having trouble within the quarter.

When I originally hired Slug-A-Bug last year, I had a really great lawn technician. My back lawn especially was in horrible condition. But he said that with proper watering, weed control and fertilizing it would rebound. It was doing pretty well and then in January the service was not at the usual time and another technician came to service my lawn. I asked about the regular technician but he didn't care to discuss it. He was at my house for all of 5 minutes and I didn't actually see him put anything on my lawn. The next time my treatment was due I again had a different man. He was nice enough and treated the lawn, but at this point all the work that had been done to repair it was destroyed. No pre-emergent weed control was applied so the spring began with a weed patch. The following treatment arrived and I had a family emergency so I was not home most of the time. I received an invoice for a treatment. I contacted the office to let them know that I fail to see how a treatment was done to my back yard when no one was there to open the gate. At this point I just requested that my service be cancelled. That being said, I also had pest control, and I have to honestly say that I had no issue with the pest control technician. Very nice guy that showed up regularly, and in fact he would call ahead of time to let me know he was coming. Unfortunately, he was caught is the cross fire of my disappointment with the lawn maintenance. I cancelled all my services.

Everything went well and on schedule. There was a little bit of confusion about access to the structure and sharing the keys, but it all worked out. Slug-a-bug uses a subcontactor for fumigation; they only did the inspection and scheduled the fumigator. Had I known that in advance, I would have gone directly to the subcontractor.

We bought a foreclosure-rehabed house and contracted Slug A Bug to treat house before we moved in and for one year of lawn service. Slug A Bug is performing to our expectations and we are satisfied.
