I was warned my renovation experience would be a hellish nightmare! Overall ~ it was just short of a dream. The price was fair - not cheap - but not expensive. Fair! Couldn't be happier!

First of all they need to get a dictionary and look up the word communication because they have no idea what communication is! I would call an ask to talk to someone leave a message and very rarely get a call back. If you use this company be prepared to not know what is happening or when something is going to get done or when they will show up. Also they lie a little bit, when I signed the contract I was told by Keith (the estimator) 40% up front and 60% due when the job is completed. I gave him the 40% and after they did the roof ( still waiting on the soffit, fascia and the aluminum enclosure to be done) Keith came looking for another $6980 which the contract doesn't say anything about, but they tie it in with the release for the roof. I had to wait for the rest of the work to get done, I called never got a call back, call again and Keith says what's up just ignores the fact I have been waiting 4 days for a call back. I called and talked to Amanda who is supposed to know what's going on according to Keith on a Tuesday morning and asked what's going on, when this was going to get done she told me she would get together with Chris and call me back that afternoon or the next day Wednesday I'm still waiting for that call!! When you say something to them about not communicating they say it's not like that and sorry that's supposed to make everything better. This is one of the worst companies i have ever worked with. The only person who called when I left a message was Chris the person in charge of doing the aluminum enclosure. He seems to be the only one at that company that knows what communication is. I would not and could not and will not recommend this company.

I am pleased to acknowledge the excellent professionalism and performance of Property Renovations and Construction on my new roof. I am 95-years-old with a 57-year-background in the construction industry. I was a construction superintendent for the last 26 years of my career, so I wasn’t a stranger to what the crew at Property Renovations and Construction were doing. The manner in which the roofing installers and project manager went about their daily tasks was superb. They seemed to not even need to speak to each other, everyone knew what the other one needed to do. I can’t stress enough how everyone at Property Renovations and Construction worked it in a very professional manner. That’s a credit to this company. At inception, the estimator, Keith, listened to what I had to say and he was very instrumental in helping me choose the best roofing products. Keith helped me pick out the design and color of my new shingles. The crew sent to do the work was very timely and efficient. I was able to convey to them the interest that I had. The project manager, Forest was very professional also. Forest was very particular about keeping me knowledgeable with the schedule with every step. I can’t say enough to how wonderful the professionalism at Property Renovations and Construction remains to be. The overall performance of Property Renovations and Construction exceeded my expectations in terms of communication, sense of urgency, flexibility, and professionalism. I would recommend Property Renovations and Construction to anyone needing a new roof or roof repairs.

I chose a general contractor instead of a stucco contractor because I was concerned about possible repair of flashing being needed before reapplying stucco. The stucco repair which covered about 100 square feet blended well with the old stucco pattern. Primer was applied and two coats of paint after the stucco repair. It has been leak proof for these last 6 months. All subcontractors were excellent. Concerning management, scheduling of work was not so good, and a down payment was demanded way too early.

They did an outstanding job. Feel free to use me as a reference.

It was the worst experience I've ever had with a contractor in my 60 years on earth. Crews didn't show when they were supposed to so we sat home waiting for them and they were no shows. The quality of the interior work was shoddy and unprofessional. I had to insist that much of it be redone. The brick mason discovered that the framing crew had failed to frame around the back of the chimney and the job supervisor had to come back and complete unfinished work. The company tried to overbill me for work based on change orders, charging for things covered on prior work orders. And they did not obtain a permit from the county until I withheld the final payment, after all work had already been completed. A very unprofessional company in my experience.

These guys really stand behind their work. I had some the repairs done early summer, and and some of the new work was damaged by a storm. They came out and fixed the damage for free! It's great to see companies that take pride in their quality. Their roofer Gus was very professional and proficient. I'll definitely be using them again.

Overall, it went smoothly with a few hitches. The roof is beautiful, and the soffits, fascia and gutters make it look like a new house. The roof problems were that we contracted to have ridge vents on the horizontal portions of the roof, but when the roofers began work, they discovered the original builder had left no space for a ridge vent to be added. This was not explained to us right away, and we had work stop until we figured out what happened. So we have one ridge vent and two off-ridge vents and a solar fan (at extra expense). The roof work seemed to drag on, with the three-man crew mostly snoozing for 2 or 3 hours in the hot part of the day, and it was hot! A separate company installed the new soffits and fascia, a two-man crew that was knowledgeable and efficient. They did a beautiful job in a short time. Then the gutters! This was another associated company, and a three-man crew came out. Well, instead of using the setup that we already had, with the gutter stones in place, they decided to direct the drainspouts right into the mulched areas of the garden. That was two of the downspouts either side of the front door. Out back, one of the downspouts was not attached, just the drain hanging down. After I reached the right person, the job was quickly finished. The same two man crew that did the soffits and fascia finished the gutters! Yay! So call Brian is anything goes wonky, and he will take care of it.

I noticed a leak in my kitchen from an issue on the roof. I contacted them that night (Monday) on their website through a web form. I waited and waited for a phone call, but did not receive one so I called them myself 3 days later on Thursday. They scheduled an appointment for the following week on Tuesday. The rep came out and took a look at what was happening. He showed me pictures and told me exactly what was going on. He said that he would have the proposal for me by the end of the day, if not the first thing in the morning Wednesday. I received nothing, so I called them Thursday to see what was going on. The receptionist said to let her find out what was going on. She found who the rep was that came out and repeated my email address to ensure what he had was correct; everything was correct. She said that the rep will give me a call in a few minutes. Here we are 8 hours later and I have not received one word yet and they are closed. No email, no phone call, nothing. So needless to say, I will find someone else.

Excellent! The people were excellent, mannerly. They took 3 days once they started. They did everything well.

My experience with PRC was excellent, and I would highly recommend them to anyone needing the services they provide. Everyone working the job, whether staff or subs, was professional, friendly, and courteous. Brian Merkle was my project manager, and I couldn't have had a better one. Brian loves what he does, and customer satisfaction is number one, whatever it takes. He was in contact with me by email or by phone throughout the four month project, explaining the next step and estimated start date. He followed up with each step, assuring it was done properly and that I was satisfied. If something wasn't quite right, he made sure every issue was promptly taken care of. Brian built my cedar pergola, and I had certain specifications as to how it should look. Between the pictures I sent him ( of "something like this but different") and a few conversations, he made sure we were on the same page before he started, as well as throughout the job. I love my pergola! Did the four month job go without a hitch? Of course not. As a 40+ year homeowner I've survived many home renovations and the building of two houses, so I know there is no home project that goes smoothly from beginning to end. How issues are taken care of are as important as the quality of work. I have to say that Brian's responsiveness to any issues were always dealt with immediately and with solutions. I don't do well with stress anymore, but one of Brian's gifts is his calming effect -- he's talked me off the ledge a few times, and his sense of humor always made our interactions positive experiences. These are some of the reasons I'd choose PRC again, and why I highly recommend them.

Joe, the project lead, was incredible. He made sure everything was right, bringing people back to correct issues. He personally made sure the details of the kitchen were done right. Joe and his crew represented a rare instance in construction of integrity, quality, courtesy, communication and reasonable pricing. It is worth noting that I say this coming off of a negative construction experience just prior to Joe's team, so we were definitely sensitive to mismanagement and quality.

PRC did a great job and left the grounds clean of any debris . The project was completed while we were on vacation and my carport was left cleaner than it was when we left. The roof has already proved itself to be correctly installed. The personal attention from Kathy Kelce made us confident that all parts of the job would be done right. It was. We will be using PRC again.

We spent about 30000 with this company. Horrible service they completely lack attention to detail. Ordered a set of exterior doors. the rep left and the job was dropped called three weeks later when the ordered doors were supposed to be in and they hadn't even been ordered. reordered the doors and they got it wrong again, with them ordering the wrong swing on the door... another 3 weeks later finally the doors in and installed. part of the job was a wind mitigation report. they did not complete, still trying to get them to schedule. Called and asked to speak to owner someone else called back and said he was too busy to personally call back. this has been going on now for about 6 months now total... part of the reason i wanted to get this work done was the insurance savings its costing me approximately $200.00 in increased costs because of their failures. this is the tip of the iceberg per say, they have failed in so many different ways to list in this review..

I don't like giving negative reviews but I have been reliant on Angie's List the past few weeks so I thought you deserved it. The company took two weeks to give us a quote and the only reason it did not take longer is because I called them every couple of days to find out what was going on. I was told that they were having problems hearing back from their sub contractors. That would be understandable excepts for two things. 1) Two weeks is too long for a quote no matter the reason. 2) Even if two weeks is reasonable there was no communication from the company letting me know what was happening. I shouldn't have to call a half dozen times begging for information. I did not take this as a sign of a professional company so I decided not to use them. Hope this helps.

We did not have the service done. We contacted them on March 23,2016 to get an estimate, they came out and on march 30th we had the proposal. We accepted on 4/3 and asked how long this would take, he said the were 2-3 weeks out. We agreed on 4/4 to begin process. On 4/11 i emailed to see if scheduled date was set, on 4/13 they said they needed the property survey before they could get the permit, it was dropped off to them the next day. On 4/22 i emailed again, was told still in engineering, it will be soon. On 4/25 i emailed again, response was , it will be soon. on 4/26 was told the engineer had to come out, so a couple days later he came out. We were still told at this time we were on the top of the list. On 5/11 I emailed again, no response. On 5/12 emailed to see if he received my email, received email back saying it had been in permitting for awhile, they are back up in the permit office and they can't start without it.- On 5/18 I called the city permit office and found out that there was no permit filed at all. I emailed him back and told him this, I never received another email from him after that, instead i received a call from another man at the company who said that the permit was filed that day, (most likely because of my email.) I explained why i was upset, i was lied to etc. and I was very upset. He asked if the owner could call me and i said yes, please. I did not get a call for the next two days so i called the office and was told the owner was on vacation till the end of the month but i could talk to the office manage. I said fine, she said she was out but would be back in an hour or hour and a half. Several hours later i still had not received a call back so i called the office and was able to get her on the phone. She first asked me if i sent an email, I asked regarding what? she answered back not to nicely - did you send an email? I told her i have sent many emailed which one was she referring to? She said the permit was filed on the day i called the permit office, i tried to explain why i was so upset about being told it had been in permit for weeks, she didn't seem to want to hear anything i had to say. I told her i wanted to cancel my job with them and i wanted my deposit back, she was pretty flip about it and didn't seem to care one way or the other. I got a call later from another man there and he was nicer but I don't think anyone understood that i was upset over being lied to and put off for so long. I asked for the refund back again and he asked if i wanted he plans that were done, if so they would cost somewhere between $150 and $200, I told him no, i don't want them for that, i want my full refund back. That was my last contact, nearly two months from the day we accepted. I did receive my deposit back in the mail along with the plans and $200 less in my refund check. So even though i said i did not want to buy the plans, it was still deducted and sent. This could have gone whole different way if only someone had acted like they cared. I think that my job was not big job, only 4800.00 dollars and that is why i was put off for so long. I had to always do the emailing to see how it was going, no one contacted me to let me know what was going on or why the delay. If someone had said,k " I am sorry this is happening, what can we do to work this out" or Let me find out what happened and we will make it right, but NO, nothing. The office manager was flat rude . I am sorry i wasted two months that i could have had my job done, I am sorry i have to start over now, and i am sorry i had to buy plans that i did not want.

I purchased the service on 3/25. I received an emailed from PRC on 3/30 requesting I call to schedule the service. Initial contact with Kathy in the office on 3/31, was very pleasant and Kathy was very professional. We scheduled the service to be completed on 4/5. Steve showed up on 4/5 right on time and I also asked him to provide a quote for some additional gutters that I wanted added and pointed out a trouble spot on my roof. He provided some recommendations on the gutters and then went to work on the roof. Steve spent 30-40 minutes on the roof. When he was finished he said he touched up a couple of penetrations that looked like they had some cracks. He indicated that the roof looked good and that he liked to just touch up the cracks himself instead of sending out a crew. It did not appear to me that Steve performed the services that I had purchased. Steve then proceeded to provide me an estimate for the gutters. When he presented the estimate to me he included the Roof Inspection service he performed and added another $100. When I mentioned that I had pre-purchased a service he stated that the additional $100 was for materials. At this point I was concerned that something was amiss. Steve was very professional and provided a reasonable quote for the gutters. I had begun to assume that Steve did not know about the service I had purchased through Angies List. When Steve left I immediately called PRC and expressed my concern. I spoke to Kathy and once again she was very professional. I explained the situation and what Steve did and that I didnt think he performed the services that I purchased or even knew about it. I then proceeded to read the details of the services purchased to Kathy and she indicated that was an error and she need to contact Angies List to have it removed. She also said that PRC would honor the deal and provide the services I had purchased. She indicated that they would send out a crew to complete the work (this was not a single person job) and that they would be in touch shortly to schedule. On 4/13 I called PRC again and spoke to Kathy about the status. She indicated that they had discussed my job that morning and would be calling to schedule. I asked her to please make sure they call to let me before they came out (I wanted to be home to make sure the service was done). On 4/15 someone showed up at our house unannounced representing PRC to perform the roof inspection (a single person not a crew). Of course I was at work and not at home and nor I did receive a phone call. I immediately called PRC and spoke to Kathy again to ask what happened and why I was not called in advance (later she indicated that the receptionist dialed the wrong number and then sent me an email letting me know someone was coming...sorry didn't check my personal email while at work). While speaking to Kathy I indicated my displeasure with how this was handled and at this point felt that it would be better to just cancel and refund me the money. Kathy did acknowledge this and agreed to provide me a full refund. Overall, the staff at PRC was very professional and responsive and I have no issues with them. I think the price that I paid was very fair. For some reason this just did not work out and after two failed attempts to get the service provided that paid for, I decided that I will have to go another direction.

We originally had a bigger project in mind and they spent time to map it all out and give an estimate. In the middle of this we realized we didn't want to spend so much. We drastically cut out plans and PRC was so very patient and nice to us. The roof was done over 4 days and the work was great- the clean up after was impressive. We have another project ready for them to do on interior and will rate that after it is done. We will soon have a third project and have no qualms about using PRC. It is nice to have a "go-to" contractor to rely on.

The repair was unsuccessful so the company issued a full refund.

The staff was professional, and completed the project in a timely and clean manner. Their prices are competitive and the staff is very accommodating to all questions and concerns. I would recommend/use them in the future.

Discovered PRC when a neighbor was having a new metal roof installed. They came out promptly and provided a quote. Brian was very professional. PRC always kept us apprised of job status from material being received, job start date and in progress status. Very professional project manager by Jeremy, Rick and crew. The office support staff was outstanding and post install visit by Kathy was excellent. PRC exceeded all my expectations. And, that's not easy having been a project manager for roofing, siding, storm protection and windows for one of the big box stores for eight years. I'll hire PRC for any future projects I have.
