Mike's Pump & Irrigation

Sorry to say I really like the guy personally. Yes his prices are high but he came recommended so I didn’t care. I asked one thing, please get started as soon as possible so I don’t have to replace the whole yard. Well here it is two weeks later, after a couple calls he told me tomorrow, then when tomorrow came I would call then told tomorrow. Regardless of the lack of communication the yard is dead and there was no concern from Mike when I called him. Good luck to him but I will not contact him for any future business. And I’m a house flipper. Have quite a few jobs on occasion he will never see them.

1. Mike states it will be $350.00 to install timer and will include labor and checkout of system. 2. Mike’s tech Brandon removes old timer but doesn’t replace with their new timer because it can only connect 6 watering zones, and I have more than 6 zones. 3. Mike returns and installs 12 zone timer but ONLY connects 6 of the existing zones. 4. During checkout of system I advise Mike that not all the zones are working. There is no discussion regarding adding any new zones or digging up existing zones. 5. Without any discussion or notice (3 weeks later) I return home to find my yard dug up and unnecessary work was done. A new watering zone was added in the exact area where a zone already exists. 6. Without any discussion or notice ALL the existing sprinkler heads were replaced. Functioning 360 degree heads were replaced with expensive ($25.00 each) rotating heads. Functioning rotating heads were also replaced with new rotating heads. Replaced heads are NOT left behind for me to discard. 7. Coincidentally the water pump leaked the day after they added the new zone AND then the pump start relay box BURNED. The only people who had unlocked the box and touched anything in there was Mike’s Pump & Irrigation. (Between 2007-2009 the entire pump start relay box was replaced by licensed electrician Mike charges me $3,204.67 !!!!

Job was grossly overcharged for work performed, parts and labor

Mike and his crew installed five drain boxes, sock pipe, and solid drain pipe going from the back of my yard to the front swale ditch with a pop up. They also removed all the weeds and old grass from part of my yard and installed some more dirt and Bermuda sod. They adjusted my existing sprinklers and replaced a couple for better coverage. We may need to install a sump pump but will wait to see. Everyone involved did a great job and I would recommend Mike and his crew.

He was supposed to install a drain along side the house from the 18” box. Instead added the pump and did not add the drain.

They called before they came - which was great. Mike's son and another gentlemen dug out a hole and put in a Drain Box. Then try ran a drain pipe into our water run off area. At the end of the pipe they installed a Drain Pop up. They were done in just a few hours and did a great job. Now all we need is for it to rain to make sure it works well. Thank you Mike.

It went great. They showed up when they said they would, Mike had already explained everything to us, and they got to work. I am writing this review now-we just joined Angie's List-but we have had Mike back several times over the last few years to check the system and move sprinklers when we had a shed and porch put in-his crew is prompt and friendly. His fees are reasonable and we have never been sorry we had him do the work. I recommend him whenever I can.

Price for services performed was very high, followup was non-existent. When asked to make minor changes in sprinkler layout to accommodate change in landscaping plans, this was a problem. To be fair work was performed on time and with a small window prior to sod installation. Regarding the overall experience, we would suggest finding another irrigation contractor.

underground sprinkler was not working, going off when it wanted. Front of yard was satuated with water, work needed to be done asap, they were great, honest and fair

pump was leaking. they picked it up on a Friday and returned it on Monday. They replaced the seal and bearings. It works fine without a leak.

The crew that worked on my home was realiable and responsible. They come out on a timely basis and do a good job.
