Please, if you will, read my reponse completely regarding this report. I consider myself to be an excellent business woman, and I take criticism very well. However, I have a hard time with complete dishonesty. Everything this client reports here is false, excluding the fact that she felt we were overpriced. She had felt that way from the beginning. She would bring up that point every time we cleaned. In regards to the price, there were no surprises here. Everything was explained at the time of the estimate in great detail. We explained exactly what we do, and also explained that we do not do windows, only sliding glass doors. When she did ask us to do the windows, we did do them, as a favor, but explained again that we normally do not do windows. We even called over a professional window cleaner to clean her sliders since they had a saltwater build up on them. This was an expense WE payed for out of our own pocket. We told her at that time that if she wanted additional window cleaning on her regular windows, she could call him in the future. She never once complained about the quality of our work throughout, in fact often told us that she was very satisfied with the quality of the work. We were never late, as I always called to confirm the evening before, giving her an hour window of time in which we would arrive the next day. Rather, she was late every single time to let us in, and then late again to come back and give payment. Much time was wasted waiting around for her while my employees were on the clock, causing us to be late for other clients and costing more money out of my pocket. We always did extra work when asked, in fact she asked every single time for additional work, which she was never charged for, including windows (which we do not normally do), inside of fridge, pulling out stove, cleaning out pantry, cleaning out ceiling exhaust fans, and doing an entire sink full of dishes. On one occasion, upon returning from a trip, she found that she had a leak inside, and there were rust stains all over her tile floor. We spent an extra hour that day working on the problem for her, and did NOT ask for extra money, nor did she offer any. She even commented that since we had been cleaning there, her floors were so much cleaner than they had ever been. The price was always $120, and remained that price throughout. We never raised it, even though we were asked to do extra work every time. This work was outside of our normal services, which were all explained at the time of the estimate. This price was based on the size of the home, which is 3000 sq ft of all tile. The price was based on the job, not an hourly rate, and the job was always consistently done. There were occasions that we got the job completed in an hour and a half, never less. The reason is because we had four people there, and each extra person working brings down the length of time. This was explained to her in great detail, but every single time we cleaned she would complain about the price. There was never an issue with the quality of our work, it was always the price. We pride ourselves in offering excellent customer service, and this case was no exception. I remained calm as she chose to handle things in a very negative way. I tried on every angle to resolve this situation positively. When I realized that she was not wanting a positive outcome, I kindly told her that it might be best if she finds another company that could maybe charge her less and better suit her needs, as I didn't feel comfortable continuing service on someone who was unhappy. The only resolution for her would have been for me to lower the price, and I could not do that in this case. I do often lower the price for many clients when I can, if I notice that the home seems easier than I had expected. In this case, the home never got easier, in actuality, was often harder considering all of the extra work she would always ask us to do. Once again, never did I ask for any extra money for the extra work, even though all of things she was asking for would normally cost more. I can say, without one doubt, that our work never deteriorated over time. That kind of mediocrity is not something we allow. In reading our other reviews, one can see that this one is very inconsistent with the others. As a business owner, I know that sometimes you cannot please everyone, although I always try my hardest. In this case, I went above and beyond to do whatever I could to please this client. The fact that she has written a false report is shocking , to say the least. Everyone else that knows Meticulous Mom Housecleaning, also knows that we would never operate our business in that manner. Thank you for reading my response.
