Magic Mops Cleaning

This company charged me twice for the same service. I hired them for a moving cleaning 3 years ago and just notice them charged me again last week. I called to give them the benefit of the doubt, that maybe it was an accident and they would return my money. Nope, didn't call me back and didn't return my money and wont answer my calls. so I'm reporting them for fraud.

I am giving one star because I cannot give zero. I called on Thursday, and was told that they could come out at 1 pm on Friday. No call, no show. When I called, they apologized and said that they would try to come out on Saturday, if not, then Monday. I asked them to communicate which one with me. No call, no show on Saturday. I called multiple times on Monday morning to see if they were coming that day, and when I could finally get in touch with them, they said that they would be out at 1pm. I thanked them, and told them that they really should have communicated with me what was going on. Once again, no call, no show. I tried to call, and the phone would not go through. Completely unreliable. I used them once before and had the same issue with them not calling and not showing up the first time, but when someone came to clean, they did a good job, so I gave them a second chance. What a horrible way to do business. They better not have charged my credit card.

We were so pleased, we will now have them clean at least once a month. I have used three other cleaning services, but was disappointed in them. I really do like Magic Mops best!

It went fine. The people arrived on time, they did a good job cleaning. They were friendly and cooperative.

The first time was below average, but the second lady was excellent.

First, Amanda is fantastic! She cleaned just how I would have. She did the living room, dining room and kitchen, and they are now as clean as when I first moved in 9 years ago! I definitely want her to come back. Now, I don't remember the other woman's name, but I was a little disappointed with her work. She did the bathrooms and all the mopping (I have tile floors) and I hate to say it, but I wish Amanda would have done those rooms too. There were a lot of places that were overlooked, and weren't dusted or wiped down very well. I ended up mopping all the floors with my Swiffer mop, and there was quite a bit of dirt still there. Amanda did have her go back and dust again. I took some pictures of things that I felt weren't up to par, and if I can figure out how to post them, I will. Like I said, I do want Amanda to come back. She's my kind of cleaner.

The cleaning was scheduled for the next morning (Saturday) however the scheduler called the next morning & canceled the appointment because the employee called in sick. Due to time restraints I was unable to reschedule. I can't rate the company since no service was provided.

They do good work. I will continue to use them.

It worked out great. I'll book them again. I've maintained the service after the first time they came in and cleaned. They did a good job. I got the same cleaning lady. I've had no problems with her work ethic. My interaction with them was fine. I have no problems with them.

She showed up ahead of scheduled time and did a great job. I would definitely hire them again.

Bought a special for 3 hours. I told office and cleaner that I was trying them out. Cleaner was polite and pleasant but spent an hour in each of the baths of the three hours - when I looked afterward they certainly weren't done to perfection to have spent that much time - the baseboards were not completely clean and the walls of the shower tile hadn't been cleaned. My baths were not that bad, so then for the less than hour remaining I got a basic vaccuum and wipe down of kitchen - not even a basic dusting of the house. So no, I won't be asking them back

For a company called Magic Mops, you'd think they would be amazing at doing floors. Sadly, that was not the case. I mainly wanted the tiled 500 sq ft of my house to be thoroughly cleaned and the rest vacuumed/dusted - I made that clear. There were still little cobwebs and crumbs under the cabinet overhangs, and I'm not sure if anything wet was even used. I also asked that she vacuum behind/under the beds and couch. She said "I will if I have time". None of this was done, and she had left at least 40 mins before the 3 hours was up (I vacated for a couple of hours, to let her go at it). She did do a good job on the bathrooms and did thoroughly dust one of the two specified areas of electronics. Worth noting: Although she assured us she was comfortable with dogs and had 2 of her own, the chihuahua I was dogsitting scared her until she hid in the bathroom and had her supervisor contact me. Unfortunately, I had forgotten to bring my cell. When I got the voicemails and saw the state of the floors, I thought the problem was that she'd had to leave before the job was done...after all, I returned 40 minutes before the 3 hours was up and she was not there. The supervisor said she had eventually gotten the dog outside so she could finish, but with so much left incomplete or untouched, I think maybe she just left? PROS: Easy to book. Arrived early. CONS: Left in well under 3 hours. Only did half the job. No mop.

I would not say it went well. There are some misunderstandings with the contract and unfortunately it did not go too well. It was a special and was supposed to be three hours or four hours for $60 and what we thought was that there would be more than one person who would be coming considering I did provide the explanation that it was a rather large home. I was willing to pay more for more people. There was only one person that came and I believe they were charging for more, actually, than the $60. Eventually we settled on that. The young lady came by herself and it was impossible to finish such a large job. The young lady did a great job. I would give her an A, but there was not ample enough staffing. They did not provide adequate information to the staff so they could be well informed about what they were going to do. She was a very pleasant person to deal with but she misunderstood the need, so her ability to provide for the need that we had was just not there.

First of all they sent one girl down and she came here and I paid for three hours and she came here and she was here like an hour and 10 minutes. I complained about that and then they sent another lady and she didn't speak English and didn't know what I was trying to tell her and she looked at me like I was out of space or something. I said to her to go clean because I had already paid for it and she did some cleaning but that was it. And then I called again and they sent the same woman back again and we told her, no, I just to her to go. So I won't be bothered with those people again. Their price was in the range of what I normally pay for. The price was alright but there was no service for it. They told me that I had to put the $60 on credit card or give them a check and when the girl came I was to pay her $20, so I guess they were doing something like under the table with her that she had $20 cash and $60 went to the company.

It was good. We would probably not use them in the future. There are other companies that are better.

Every time they come now I have a new person. They are doing a better job than the original girl. I was having to supply the mop and vacuum since hers broke. They are usually a little late and leave early. They do not move furniture or clean behind the doors.

The goal of a review should NOT be to beat someone or a company up, but to identify the problems/concerns you had. This companies rating were pretty good- we are looking for someone to clean our house every week- so we thought we give them a try and they had a cleaning deal through Amazon Local. When I booked the cleaning I was told that they would be at my house on Friday at 1.... Friday at 1:20 the owner called me stating a cleaner had a family issue causing a ripple in their day and they would need to reschedule. I was sad... now we have to clean... but she said she could reschedule. I said ok- what do you have available and she said well, oh- i'm not sitting in front of my computer i'm at lunch.... ummm, that's not very professional of you. So, she called me back and assured me she would have someone right out Tuesday (Monday a holiday) at 9:00 to handle for me. I am usually in the office by 745, but I stayed home this morning to meet the cleaners for first visit and find out what they typically do to ensure my expectations when I come home were realistic. 915.... still no cleaning folks. then I get a call... the owner, again... ironically someone's care won't start and they just found out. My review cannot comment on their cleaning ability, but I can tell you that on professionalism and punctuality-- it is a total F. Thank you to Amazon Local who immediately gave me a refund on my voucher. I am sorry vendor for posting a negative review- maybe you had a great response to your coupon on Amazon and got overwhelmed- but I lost a hour and 40 minutes productivity this morning and still have a dirty house-- but at least my staff were on time.

She was very pleasant, mannerly and thorough. Moved things to clean( not heavy) . I cleared most to make it easier for her. She ( Cynthia) was super.

the lady that came out was very professional and did an excellent job cleaning- She did not stop the three hours she was at our property and got a lot more Accomplished than we expected- we would hire magic mops again

Owner gave me a deal to earn my business, so first time cleaning was $55 rather than several hundred quoted by other services. Cleaner, Helene, was on time, polite and professional, focused. She worked very quickly, thoroughly and did a great job. Before she began, she toured the house with me and listened to everything I wanted done. She went above and beyond and cleaned extra areas. I hired her on the spot for every other week service. She has since been on-time, focused and thorough. She also takes on one big project each week to clean windows, polish wood furniture/cabinets, etc. My 3 pets and 3 small children do not phase her. I'm very pleased and the price is beyond reasonable.

The work she did was very acceptable. However, she missed a lot of things I wanted done. She did pay close attention to my instructions. The girl was young and may inexperienced. Again, the work she did was good, but didn't go far enough.

The ladies who came were very nice and courteous and followed our instructions well (basically what areas we wanted cleaned and what we didn't). They were very thorough in what they did and if they moved something to clean they put everything back and orderly. We were there the whole time but let them do their thing and stayed out of the way. Very satisfied with how everything went.
