Work was delayed a couple of days due to storms but all went very well. In addition to the roof, had some soffitt panels that needed replacing, which Jim Behan did at no additional cost.

Jim Behan Roofing was outstanding!! They did a great job on my roof. It needed a considerable amount of plywood replaced under the shingles and Jim kept me updated on the entire job. He never mentioned a thing about payment until after the job was complete. His crew was outstanding as well. They took the time to answer my questions and they made sure they did a thorough clean up after each day. He even took a great deal of pictures and gave them to me on a cd at the end of the job. My roof looks great now!! I would definitely hire Behan Roofing again. Great job guys!!!

Our biggest fears at the start of this New Roof search was one the possibility of getting stuck with a Costly Leaking Roof from a fly-by-night roofer.. Second concern was about not being able to locate a Roofer with high standards, a good reputation and who produces quality work. We did extensive research looking for a Professional Roofer in our area with a long track record. Researched the multiple new roofing products and mandatory hurricane code guidelines. We contacted several roofing contractors for price quotes. We received 3 quotes from area roofing companies. Set up appointments. The previous nights rain caused the old roof patch to fail. Which quickly turned a new roof search into an urgent repair as heavy rain was in the weeks forecast. Jim Behan (quote 2) arrives to give us the quote and inspection report. Upon seeing the damaged roof he was concerned and said that it had to be patched as soon as possible. Then he offered to come back the next day to patch the leaking area. This was offered whether or not we chose him for the bid. With just a small fee to patch it if he wasn't chosen. In addition he noticed our newly stamped concrete driveway and recommended they use their lift dump truck for debris removal also he would then park it in an area that would not damage the driveway. His concern for our safety and further damage to our home was not taken lightly since the other 2 quotes offered no solutions of these issues. To us these small acts showed us he was a caring, honest roofer with a quality roofing business. Everything went extremely well. Mr. Behan was very polite, professional, and explained every step of the process. He gave us several options with different types of shingles so we knew exactly what we were paying for. He made recommendations to help us with the decisions. He started the work on the exact date planned, and stayed on the job until completion. They started when they said and finished only a little later than anticipated (due to weather conditions and excessive heat). He was on the job every day with his men. They placed tarps over our plants and shrubs for protection. They cleaned up every day, and took all the trash away. The workers were all very polite. Jim Behan made absolutely sure that we were happy with the job before sending us his final billing statement. There were no surprises, no hassles. J.K. Behan Roofing provides a good value for the money as well as total peace of mind that the job was done right, will last, and that they will stand by their work if an issue does arise. As a landlord trying to attempt a major house project from a distance, I was glad to have found a responsive roofer. I recieved 3 reasonably similar quotes from area roofers, so my biggest consideration was reputation and quality of work. In addition to the other positive reviews here, Jim had come recommended which heavily swayed my decision. I had a very positive experience with Jim -- he was responsive to any questions I had, and with coordinating with my tenant. In particular, he was sensitive to some time constraints in which the project needed to be completed by. In addition to completing the project in about a week's time, he was in regular communication, sending updates and photos of the project's progress. I would highly recommend this company for anyone looking for a roofer.

Excellent! Checked out problem, explained what needed to be done, performed the service in a timely fashion, and stayed within estimate. We had another company work on the leak earlier but they just did a superficial repair that did not last. We had to replace part of our ceiling as a result. Jim's repair looks so much better. We had some heavy rains just after the work and everything is fine.

Called James in the morning to give an estimate on a repair that I needed to be completed so my home owners insurance company wouldn't drop me. When I spoke to him he agreed to come by my home and give an estimate later that day. I explained to him that I couldn't make it out till later that afternoon because of my job. He said no problem and we arranged a time for the evening. James shows up I explained to him my situation, He said "no problem! I will do the work and take the photos during the whole process of the roof job give them to you". Well after that I said great! James also replaced some roofing hardware and resealed the fastener heads without me asking. overall James and his company did the work in less then 3 days from estimate to completion this was one of the best experiences I have had with contractors. We are delighted with the service, product and professionalism of J K Behan and his staff. Every step of the process was completed on schedule, despite our daily rain showers. The job site was also kept so tidy that a neighbor actually stopped to compliment them on this. Another neighbor stopped to get a quote. I called the business line for and asked for an estimate on roof repairs for a shingle roof on a two story house. The response I received was "not interested." Horrible customer service and overall people skills.

Arrived on time and provided thorough inspection of my property. Was very interactive, took plenty of time, and answered all my questions. Provided photos of previous work completed. Overall interaction was very professional. I ended up selecting a roofer that I had used before, but I had no reservations about J.K. Behan doing the work.

It went well. This roofing team worked hard. Every day that was raining, they worked hard getting the work done. The end result was having a new roof that is guaranteed for 20 year. Insurance has gone down.

Sometimes you really do get what you pay for. That is certainly true with J.K. Behan Roofing. A little over a year ago, we discovered that the builder who built our home had improperly secured the roofing tiles. Our 14-year-old tile roof was failing, and it needed to be replaced. We contacted several roofing contractors and did extensive research about tile roofing products and methods for affixing the tiles to the roof. J.K. Behan Roofing was by no means the least expensive (they were at the upper end for price), but they had excellent references (including a general contractor/friend that we trust). We had special problems with our flashing and issues with brick because the brick on our house was installed after the original tile roof -- move the roofing tiles and some of the brick had to come down. The owner of the company, Jim Behan, worked together with our brick mason to be sure that everything was done properly and that the result looked good. Jim Behan personally did the difficult flashing himself. He was on the job every day with his men. They started when then said and finished only a little later than anticipated (due to weather conditions). The company has employees, not subcontractors, and the employees are hardworking, courteous, and take pride in their work. The result was simply outstanding workmanship. The roof was finished a year ago and it is perfect still. We are very particular people who pay a great deal of attention to details. Mr. Behan came and did the estimate. They gave me options on new shingles and they installed the roof and shingles. They cleaned up very well after job was done.

The work was impressive and quick. I found Mr. Behan through a recommendation from another roofer (who was referred by a hurricane shutter company) because he did not work on tile roofs. Mr. Behan is wonderful to work with. He responded immediately, assessed my needs and provided two estimates. One estimate meeting Florida code, and the second meeting the stricter Miami-Dade code. We selected the Miami-Dade approved option. Mr. Behan's installers were on time, ensured no debris was left behind, and very courteous. Mr. Behan also arrived to oversee the installation. I will definitely refer JK Behan to anyone needing roofing work.

This is a well-respected company with a very courteous and reliable staff. They were so helpful in scheduling the installation to a time that worked with my home sale. They went out of their way to provide me with documentation, permits, HOA forms, and the like even though I was living out of town at the time of the installation. I feel comfortable recommending this company to everyone!

To be honest with you, I am confident enough to say that you don't need to bother getting quotes from other contractors. Their proposed methods are not going to approach the quality of work provided by J.K. Behan. Jim?s method of applying a new plywood covering over the existing underlayment makes for a finished product of exceptional durability. Other contractors do not propose to provide this and actually try to say that it is not necessary. Don't believe it. When (not if) you get leaks in an existing roof it will often be due to nails that have worked their way out of the underlayment and up through the roofing shingles. This happens because the underlayment is too uneven and flexible. The new layer of plywood eliminates the problem. Jim and his crew are all professional and conscientious. They pay great attention to detail; insuring that the finished job is first rate.

He told me that he would call me back the following week after the rain had stopped. It is 19 days later, we have had some really good weather, yet I have not heard back. During the phone conversation that I initiated, he was short with me, told me that it was going to be raining for the next week or so. I told him that I had checked the Weather Channel online and there was a few days the following week that had less than a 30% chance of rain. He brushed me off telling me that someone would be calling back to schedule an appointment. Still waiting....

I thought their prices were very reasonable. They were very good and they were very fair. They do a good job. The quality of their work is very good.
