Went to Melbourne, Fl iFix Gallery in July of 2019 in Melbourne, FL because phone wasn’t charging. They replaced the charging port that has a warranty! Went to my car plug in to charge and wouldn’t charge without wiggling it. Went back in and they told my charger cord was worn out and they sold me a new charging cord! Had periodic issues with charging that seem to take care of themselves. But after about 3 months wouldn’t charge again! Took my phone back! They took it to the back room for about 5 minutes and came out and told me it was the charging cord again and sold me another cord! Until Christmas day 2019 had periodic charging issues that seem to resolve themselves, but couldn’t charge at all Christmas day! Took my phone back to their store on the 26th. They took it to the back room for about 5 minutes. Told me they cleaned out the port and sold another cord! They cleaned but NEVER said anything about corrosion. After this I was extra careful not to let anything get into the port to be cleaned out! Wouldn’t charge on the 15th of January! Took it back to the store on the 16th! The manager took it back room for about 5 minutes and came back and said I had a pin missing and that the warranty wouldn’t cover to fix it because there was corrosion! I told him my phone has never been in water and that when I brought the phone 3 weeks earlier they had cleaned the port out and made no mention of ANY CORROSION! After a few minutes of discussion I saw it was going no where! I asked for the Corporate office or owner’s phone number and he refused to give me a number! I went in my car to to google with no luck to find a number! Was able to phone number of An iFix Gallery in South Florida! Blake who answer the phone said he was the owner of the store he was in! I explained the situation to him and he told me that maybe they could have broken a pin when they cleaned the port but they are not responsible for fixing anything they break! I told was that unbelievable and that I didn’t think to many would believe it! I also asked him if there was corrosion that they should have seen it and told me about it 3 weeks ago when they cleaned the port! He kinda went quiet and changed the conversation to he would contact the owner of the Melbourne store and have him contact me in the next 24 hours! If not call him back (Blake)! I just called him back and he told me the owner was not going to do anything! That their store get taken all the time! Blake said if it was his store that he would make good on replacing the port! He said the Melbourne store has 10 times to return issues than his store has! I ask him doesn’t that seem odd that they have 10 times the issues and that it make have something to do with the quality of the technician performing the work! I mean that just seems illogical that one store would have 10 times as many problems than another store! I feel my port was either defective in some way or the technician who installed it incorrectly! I made them aware of the problem the say it was installed (repaired) and all they have done to remedy the problem is to keep selling charging port! The fact that the Melbourne owner won’t even call me after Blake (a store owner) ask him told speaks volumes! This is a lot of work to do these reviews for a $60 repair! But I spent time returning to the store only to be sold new cords. I think this owner just banks on no one will take the time to write a review and it must be true since they have 10 times the issues with their repairs than the South Florida store! I also mentioned to Blake that I am a Military veteran! He asked me what did that matter! It matters because Our County is one of the biggest Military retirement areas in the county and I know a lot of them use Angie’s List! They can read my review and decided if I gave them an opportunity to credit the problem and the owner of the store wouldn’t even give me a phone call to hear my side!

I stopped by iFixGalaxy on a Friday afternoon because they are new and I wanted to get a feeling for whether they could solve a series of problems I was having with my desktop PC. I spoke to Claudio, a delightful guy, and had confidence that he could solve the problems. I brought back the PC and printer/scanner an hour or so later to show him some of the problems I was having. He said that he had a couple of repairs ahead of me but that he would probably get to mine rather quickly. We spoke on Saturday when he had a few questions for me and he called me about 6 p.m. and told me the computer was ready and could be picked up on Sunday. I started up the newly-repaired PC and everything works as if the unit is brand new. The service that I received was friendly, attentive, courteous, professional, skilled, and I thought that the price for the repairs was more than fair. It was an absolute pleasure to do business with them and they exceeded my expectations on all dimensions. I highly recommend Claudio and Francisco at iFixGalaxy and would most certainly use them again.
Description of Work: They got a key piece of software working again, reinstalled Windows 7, greatly improved desktop computer speed, fixed inability of computer to do a Windows system restore
