He sent me a report, which consisted of over 50 pages that had pictures and what was wrong if anything in various areas of the inside and outside of the house. He told me how to fix the minor things.

John was great. The inspection was very thorough. He answered all questions and made very helpful suggestions.

This is the second time we have hired Honor to do a Home Inspection. They are punctual, honest and thorough. Since John is a contractor himself, he knows the quality of the work in the home, and life expectancy of its features, roof, etc.. I would hire him and his team again.

The entire team at Honor Construction was extremely professional. They interfaced with my builder to setup the inspections at the proper times, and knew exactly what needed to be done. John, our inspector, was extremely thorough, and documented everything he found. He sent me a detailed report the day after each inspection, which allowed me to work with the builder to correct issues found during the construction process. I would highly recommend Honor Construction to any one wanting peace of mind during the construction of a new home.

I have used honor inspections before and was very pleased as I asked him to pick the house apart and he did exactly as I asked. However, when that contract fell through, I went under contract on another home and had to travel for work when the inspection was done. I expected that same level of service even though I was not in attendance and had faith I would get it. Buyer beware...attend your inspection if you use this company and use a licensed roofing contractor (I recommend the Roof Doctor) even for a newer roof. The roof was only 8 years old but this company missed the exposed nails on the roof and a week after I moved in, a hole opened up in the sunroom during a rainstorm and dumped wet drywall on my head. A week later, another leak appeared in another part of the house. As it turned out, there were about a dozen exposed galvanized nails on the roof. I pursued this with Honor and they came out with their own roofer who was the only one out of the four that called exposed nails "normal". Perhaps he should read the installation instructions for shingles. I followed up with them a week later about my dissatisfaction and was subsequently ignored. I will be filing a formal complaint as the roof bill ended up being $15,000 to which this company contributed $0 for their mistake. Please also note that this company does not carry Errors & Omission insurance which is why I chose to go through my homeowner's insurance first. I had to nail up a tarp because I'd been in the house less than three weeks and already had two leaks and it was raining nearly every day. I don't think my decision to protect my home excuses the lack of action. I provided their company with the insurance company report indicating 12 exposed nails on the roof. As the inspector has called out in his response, he said he called out evidence of patchwork but did not indicate that any of these should be checked out by a licensed contractor. If he felt they should be further investigated, why weren't they highlighted as such? He's the licensed contractor/inspector, not me.

We have used Honor Home Inspection Services 3 times now. We have been very happy with them every time. They were very thorough and showed/explained their findings. They went out of their way to accommodate our schedule. From the initial scheduling to timeliness of providing the report, they exceeded our expectations. John and all staff are very personable. We felt like we knew them on a personal basis by the time we finally found our home. We would highly recommend them! A+!

John, Hillary and Jeff were thoroughly professional and complete in their inspections. They showed us the goods and bads of the home and suggested the priorities of what needed immediate attention. John was very helpful in reviewing the feasibility of modifications we had in mind and showed us what was and what wasn't possible.

Everyone that I talked to at Honor Construction was so friendly and nice, from the person that quickly responded to my messages on Angie's List to the person I scheduled the inspection with and the inspector himself! I greatly appreciate their help as other companies wouldn't come out for just a 4 point inspection!!!! Once the inspections were completed, each inspector showed us the pictures and explained the acceptable findings and the items that were in need of repair or replacement A detailed report was provided to my husband and I as well as our realtor As a result of Honor Construction Inspection Services, we were confident to proceed with the purchase of our home. The inspectors arrived on time, performed a thorough inspection, and created a very detailed report. They were very organized and I am very happy I used this company.

I have used Honor Construction two times now and have been extremely pleased both times. The owner John is extremely knowledgeable and very thorough. I have used his 50 page report as a guide to repairing and remodeling an older home, and have even paid for re-inspections just to get advice on how best to proceed with future projects which saved me much time and money.

They professionally and efficiently inspected very aspect of the house and completely made this first time home buyer a little more at ease.

The scheduling staff was great and worked with the tight schedule I had for both houses in order to be within the window on the contract. The inspector was on time and was great about the actual things on the first house that was wrong and costly. The same for the second house and his being so involved I had a comfort level knowing that when he said the second house was god I knew I could move on to buying it without worry. I appreciate the honesty and attention to detail was comforting.

Since we were out-of-state, it was important to make the appointment, payment, and get the results quickly and with ease. Michelle was very helpful and professional. She arranged the appointment and setup the online payment through a secure service as well as recorded our specific questions to be addressed during the home inspection. She returned my calls promptly and followed up. John and his assistant Ashley did the inspection. After the inspection, we spoke to John and he summarized the findings. We found him to be very honest, personable, knowledgeable, and experienced. By the morning of the next day, we had a detailed 61 page report in our email. The report included camera pictures as well as thermography pictures. We were very impressed and would highly recommend him and his staff at Honor Construction.

Even though we visited the house twice, we didn't even notice there was no electrical outlet in the bathroom. This was pointed out in the report - thankfully. Nor did we notice that the washing machine drained into the yard outside, pointed out in the report - again thankfully. Before the inspection, do mention any areas/items that you feel need attention. After the inspection, do make a list of questions referencing the page and item number in the report so that no questions are forgotten and the discussion can be expedited by not having to flip back and forth through the report.

John's inspection was very in-depth. The report he provides is very thorough and he goes above and beyond to include photos, descriptions, and advice. He found little things and added them to the inspection report, which some other inspectors would have missed. He tested all the outlets, faucets, HVAC, pool, roof, etc. He also completed the wind mitigation and termite/pest inspection for this price. John and Michelle were easy to communicate with and worked with us since we were out of state during the inspection.

Thorough inspection was complete with some verbal information with a follow up report the next day. Report had excellent photos everything inspected with suggested correction if any possible problems appeared.

The first house was a foreclosure and needed some work. The inspectors spent 3 hours in the house look at EVERYTHING. They provided us with a very detailed report of everything that was wrong with the home. They even gave us advice on what was a major issue and what were issues we could fix ourselves. We reviewed the report by the next morning and decided that we did not want to proceed with the purchase. The second house went much smoother, it was in much better condition than the first one. The inspection was at 3pm and the report was delivered to me by 10pm the same day. Since we used them for our second inspection they did not charge us for the wind mitigation report on the second inspection. I was so glad I went with this company. I felt that they were truly looking out for me and my family. I trust this company and will use them again if we purchase another home.

The Honor Construction inspectors were very prompt and professional. They were very prepared and had very good equipment to do the inspection on the home we were considering to purchase. Midway through the inspection the Honor Construction inspector pointed out some very serious water issues that would need serious repair, including - possible tear down of a wall (possible mold issue inside of wall) - and roof repair including some plywood replacement (already had mold) with shingle repair and peak flashing repair. There were some minor issues also that were brought to our attention - but were minor and was average wear and tear on a 7 year old home. Our decision was not to purchase the home - not just because of the needed repairs, but also time was the issue concerning length of time to get the repairs done compared to our time schedule to get settle in a new location. Both inspectors were very detailed and professional including using a temperature gun that read the degrees of air coming out of the air conditioning system and vents. We felt they didn't miss checking one item. All and all we were very please with Honor Construction and made sure to thank them for a job well done.

My real estate agent took care of it for me as we are out of town. I can only rate them on the professionalism of the report. I was not at the inspection but it appears they are very good.

All Went well. The Inspector gave me a summary of their findings on site at the end, and showed me where the issues were. A very thorough inspection was done.
