So bad it's laughable. Hobbs Electric installed our ceiling fan with parts designed to be idiot-proof by being labeled "THIS SIDE UP" but they still installed them upside down! The punchline? They billed us $843 (not including fan we supplied) to install one, single ceiling fan and its switch and power feed. And that was even after discounting their outrageous $140/Hour labor rate for 2 electricians by 3 hours because they made time-consuming, amateurish mistakes that had to be pointed out to them by a resident / former electrician who just happened to be visiting during the installation. But what isn't funny is the legitimate concern that these same two electricians who did a poor job overall in terms of quality workmanship and attention to detail, could possibly have also connected wires incorrectly? If they're both incompetent enough to miss THREE obvious warning labels, then it's hard to have confidence that they didn't also make wiring mistakes, which would be a serious safety concern. They also billed us for parts and materials that were mistakenly installed but then removed and kept by them. Hobbs Electric office manager Lisa initially acknowledged that we're requesting for these issues to be addressed, but after saying that she would look into it and call back, never did and continues to refuse to respond to any subsequent calls or email. So if you'd like to be charged 3 times the average rate for a ceiling fan to be installed, you want it done so poorly that it makes you laugh out loud, and are OK with a fly-by-night level of service afterwards, then Hobbs Electric will accommodate you perfectly.

Courtney showed up promptly and was very nice, he has done work for us before and is very good. We had him move the smoke alarm from the ceiling to the wall as we have high ceilngs and could not reach this alarm even with our ladder. So he re ran the wires from the ceiling to the wall and replaced the smoke alarm and capped off the ceiling. They do very good work and I have used them a few times, however they are VERY expensive. It was $180 and he was only here 45 minutes. The time before this I had him out to check what I thought was a bad socket and he was there 10 minutes, just checked the socket, said it was fine and the cost was $95. While they do excellent work and are very professional and friendly, the prices are just too much so I will probably have to find someone less expensive.
Description of Work: Replaced and moved electrical smoke alarm.

It went very well. Their assignment was completed in two days. Have had no problems
Description of Work: I have used this company since 1990. The last visit was to rewire the kitchen as I remodeled and needed wiring extended to new places to accomodate a refrigerator, microwave, new ceiling lights, wall television outlet In addition I had a new ceiling fan outlet in living room in case I wanted to put a fan in that room. They came out to the house during the remodel to speak with contracdtors on the job to make sure of plans were accurate. All continues to be well.

I have been using this group since they installed electrical in my house in 1990. On this occasion they met with the plumber and cabinet installer to make sure everything was where I wanted it. No problems at all with their work and final configuration for kitchen. Would not use any other company in this area for electrical service.
Description of Work: I reworked by kitchen. They put in addition ceiling lights, moved outlets, put in ceiling fan, wired new wall for replacement refrigerator, prepared area for new microwave.

Richard and Pat fixed both problems quickly, with no attempt at any fishy up-sells. They are not A/C repairmen but I was lucky that it was an electrical problem. They were very nice and did a great job.
Description of Work: My breaker box was sparking and crackling and the A/C kept tripping the breaker. I thought this was one major problem but it was actually two separate problems.
