HELLER CABINETRY

Description of Work: The contract states you must pay in full upon delivery of cabinets, i.e. not completion of the job. You must edit this and hold some money to completion. Quality control is your responsibility and if you have paid all the money you have zero leverage. Any mistakes will be your fault somehow, and you will have to pay to correct them. You can’t ask enough questions and you should get real answers not I assure you or I promise. Measure twice cut once isn’t enough. Should apply to the cabinet designer as well as your appliance dealer.

Description of Work: I ordered cabinets and granite tops through Heller. They came to the house and measured my kitchen and supplied me with a drawing and details what I needed. I ordered through them, but my own contractor to did all the work. There was one cabinet that was the wrong size, and when contacted about it, they were very good about ordering what I needed. It took quite a while for it to come in, but there was no problem with their cooperation on the matter. It took even longer to have 2 pieces replaced that had been damaged, but there was no issue about it. The granite counter tops were ordered through them, but subcontracted out to Granite tops of Brevard. They came promptly, measuredwhat was needed and installed on schedule. Unfortunately within 24 hours there were stains in my granite, as the sealer they used did not actually seal the surface. I called Heller within 24 hours of installation and they said they would have the granite people call me. two weeks later I called and spoke with Mr. Heller, who assured me he would take care of it right away. The following week I sent a certified letter, and received no response whatsoever. Again, 2 weeks later I called Heller Cabinetry again, and they did have someone call me back. After much arguing, and the gentleman, Chris, telling me it was my fault because I ordered too light a color, or had not requested an extra duty sealant, etc., we came to an agreement that he would come out and remove what stains were there, and I would then reseal myself. Three weeks after that, having not heard a word, I went to Heller Cabinetry in person and spoke with Mr. Heller. He was under the impression that everything had been taken care of. Not so. We reached an agreement, I will take care of the problem, and deducted an agreed amount from the balance of what I owed him, and I then paid him his balance. In short, do not use Heller's granite supplier if he is still using Grantie Tops of Brevard as his supplier. His cabinets and his service are good, but not for the counters.

Description of Work: full kitchen, amazing light maple cabinets, uba granite 3mm, under granite sink, all for 3800.00. these people are the best. they were fast with excellent workmanship, a problem was cleared up ( scratched door) asap. and the granite people they use, granite tops of brevard, was outstanding, beautiful granite, i cant say enough about this company. my realtor reccommended them because they do all of her rentals.
