Because of the age of my system they recommended that I replace it with a new more efficient system. I agreed to this, and they installed a new condenser and gas furnace system. The installation went very well - very professionally done, but they forgot to turn on the gas and check out the heater system. I called and told them (three times in about six weeks), but they have failed to resolve the issue.

I don't intend to do any service with them. The sales rep had to basically call the owner and the owner had to answer my questions. They did not really have anything to offer. They had to sit down, figure out and put together something that would suit us instead of having an off the shelf plan, like an A, B or C-type of thing. Their quote came in pretty high, one of the highest -- so the pricing was horrible. It would rate them a little higher than another company I did not use, but he was not cocky or anything. He was very nice. A bad thing on these people was that he was, like, an hour and a half late. The appointment time was 3:00 and he showed up at a quarter to five, which was a big negative.

Provided they return in November using a coupon received, I think I will be very satisfied with the service. The only reason I listed a B rating is because they weren't able to complete the pre-paid inspection. I'll update the rating when they are, and based on their initial visit I have every expectation they will be able to complete it.

They are very good. I was pleased. The tech that came was very neat and polite. I also bought a service contract with them. The contract comes with some side benefits and they come out a couple times a year to service it. They are mailing me a packet.

Tech was punctual, experienced, and friendly. Performed all work quickly and efficiently. Wore booties in house to protect flooring. Was not pushy on the maintenance plan as described by other users. Would be confident to use this company again if any issues arise with my A/C in the future.

Everything was FANTASTIC! I purchased the A/C Tune Up Special and within a couple hours Hearth & Home contacted me to make the appointment. They sent Bill the same afternoon! First I would like to express the appreciation that I have that this company cares enough to have their people wear "footies" when they come in your home! This is such a nice touch and much appreciated! All service type companies that enter your home should take note of that. While that may not seem like a big deal, it is a HUGE deal! THANK YOU for that! Bill did a great job! Super nice and professional. He worked non stop for a good hour. Testing all parts of my A/C. He flushed my drain line, checked all pressures, connections, temps etc etc. He even went so far as to remove my fan and clean down in the bottom of the A/C. He did a great job and I was beyond happy. It is very hard to find a company that you truly feel you can trust. I would trust this company and I can say without question that I have found a new A/C company and I will refer them to anyone that may be in need of A/C work! Thanks Hearth & Home!

I bought the deal and got a phone call the next day. We set up an appointment for 3 days in advance. The technician was punctual and did a great job . Including cleaning and replacing Freon and cleaned the filter and installed a new filter which I supplied.Air and heat are working perfectly. I would certainly use again.

They were actually early, did what they needed to do and made some recommendations. It was a painless experience.

Due to confusion over the address we had to re-schedule for which the office manager was very helpful. When the Technician arrived he was courteous and well-dressed and very pleasant. He took what seemed like an extra amount of time to do a "check-up" of the /c and heating system for an advertised low cost; much more thorough than one would usually experience. He found no major problems and as there were not funds to replace the old (14 years-old) system that was rated for an 1,800 sq. ft. home and this home is only 886 sq. ft., he gave a very helpful "home-remedy" to help clean and keep the system running longer.

The service should have been a tune up and inspection. Inspection seemed to be performed but didn't see any evidence of a tune up.

We used the 49.00 offer to service our AC and heating unit. They worked around our schedule and arrived punctually just 2 days after purchasing the offer. The service man found a problem with our unit which he told us should be reported to the original installer to be covered under the warranty for the unit. (it is 5 years old/Trane) He could have been less than honest but was not. Very professional service! Prompt and services provided as described and above!

My AC system began blowing non-cooled air late Friday afternoon on 12/11 so I made a service call appointment for Monday morning between 9 and 10AM with Comfort Experts, my six-month maintenance inspection service for more than seven years. The technician did not show on Monday so I called Comfort Experts and found an appointment was not scheduled but a technician could be out between noon and 1PM. The technician again did not show so I called Hearth and Home Heating and Cooling and made an appointment between 2 and 4PM that Monday. The technician, Bill, showed up around 2:30PM and within 10 minutes diagnosed the problem as the ?run capacitor?, which measured ?0? microfarads. Bill replaced the capacitor and as suggested, a worn contactor. Comfort Experts? 9/24/15 inspection of my AC system noted a worn contactor and that the capacitor was checked and apparently was OK. I signed a maintenance agreement with Hearth and Home and the total cost for their service call was hundreds of dollars less than Comfort Experts? 9/24/15 repair options that included their maintenance club membership and a contactor (not capacitor). Now I see why Hearth and Home rates an ?A? on Angie?s List and Comfort Experts rates lower.

This was a big deal purchase. It did not turn out too good, actually. I had to go pick up my check from them. Unfortunately I ended up having to replace my A/C after trying to fix it for a year and it was not good. I canceled my service and have a check there waiting for me. They did services for me but it was multiple and it did not seem like their technicians knew what they were doing. I ended up hiring a different A/C company and paying this service for nothing so, it was like just a waste. It is one thing to say I can't fix it and ask why I didn't replace it when I asked for a quote. They did not even give me a quote to replace it. The guy just took off and I thought, you've got to be kidding me. It was no big deal; I just called one of our contractors and had him replace it. There were several things I paid for so I wish I had never done it. For them to be unsure of their specialty is unfortunately bad. It was not bad for the repair cost and the cost for the part was not bad. I got frustrated because of their trial and error approach to the repair. My advice to others is to be careful. I would not recommend them, that's all. The office staff was good; it was just the technicians that were not skilled or qualified. Their one guy did not give me their quote.

You won't find better people to work with. We worked with Scott. The contractor, Tim Loomer was also excellent. Initially the individual that worked on the stone (Dave) was inconsistent in his time of arrival and his quality was hit and miss. He would say he'd be by at 8 am but not arrive until 11 am without even a call and then stay until 8 pm. I never knew when he was arriving or leaving. I was help hostage by his inconsistent schedule. Scott handled the situation well and he was taken off the job and replaced with Mitch who did excellent work and the end result was beautiful. Our fireplace could be in any home design magazine it is that beautiful.

Excellent job. The glass came out wonderfully and the technician let me videotape him priming and starting the pilot so I can do it by myself in the future. The only problem was scheduling. They cancelled and then it took a long time to get rescheduled.

This diagnostic took place in the heat of the summer. My A/C was struggling to bring the house temperature down to ideal and I assumed low coolant. So I took advantage of a special Angie's List was having for a $20 diagnostic. The guy who came out, I think his name was Angel, was very professional and didn't try to sell me anything. He reassured me that my system was fine after he checked for leaks and Freon levels, and suggested that my older system was just inefficient because it was so hot. Now everything seems to be running well. Guess he was right.

Just moved in and had Home and Hearth check out the AC on Monday. The next few days the system wasn't working well and then Wouldn't turn on at all. They came the next day to check it out and found that there was a leak and there was no freon left in the AC. But couldn't find the location of the leak. The next day 3 employees showed up to find the leak. They located it - soldered it and now all is working well. The guys were professional. Great experience with Home and Hearth.

Everything was done as described. I checked where we had a leak before for the next several days and all seems good. System seems to be running fine and cooling very well.

Great company! I called on a Thursday night (after hours) and received a phone call back from Mary at 8:00 the next morning. She was very courteous and promptly got me on the schedule for that day. Bill came out and determined I was having a circuit breaker problem, corrected the problem, and was on his way. Bill is a great guy. Very personable and friendly. I am very pleased with this company. They are prompt, courteous and very reasonably priced. I will certainly use them in the future and recommend them to anyone with an a/c problem.

I bought a $49 big deal to inspect my old air conditioning unit. It did not go too good. I had them come back over three times for the same problem with a brand new air conditioning going out. I had them come out and look at my old one. They told me it was 10 years old and there were quite a few things wrong with it. So I decided to go with installing a new one, which they put in. I had to call them back three times because the air conditioning unit was not putting out enough cold air. Right now, it is doing okay, but usually every couple of months it goes out. I am not happy with the quality of the air conditioning unit at all. Their price is as low as everybody else. I don't know if they could have seen what happened. The unit, itself, is not a good unit. I was told in the beginning there were parts that were not put in their right that they knew would go bad. You don't say that. You should let me know up front. The quality of the stuff they carry is not good at all.

I have nothing negative to say about Hearth and Home. They stayed in touch to find out what we decided to do, replace evaporator coil or purchase a new system. We decided to replace the coil. They ordered the new evaporator coil VERY quickly and scheduled it's replacement in a very timely fashion. They will be here today to install! So far, happy with our experience!

Went well!!! Workers arrived on time and went right to work - for 6 hours!!! They worked efficiently and cleaned up after themselves. Patiently went over the paperwork. I am very pleased with a job well done. Thank you not only the workers but the office staff also. So happy to have cool air back!
