Tony (the owner’s son), came to our house to give us an estimate for fixing some wiring that lost power and for wiring some light fixtures, as we are remodeling our home. Tony had a very bad temper and he proceeded to go on an angry rant and then he ripped one of our brand new outlets out of the brand new drywall on the wall of our kitchen. The wires are now loose and a danger to our children. Tony ripped four screws and the plate from the wall. When I attempted to call Tony’s dad (Bruce, the owner), Bruce did not respond to my call to right the situation.

About 8 weeks later, at the end of July, I called to schedule the work, according to the timeline I'd indicated at the time of the bid. Tony was away on vacation but said he'd be back in a week, and I said, ok, I could wait a week. He told me he had already bought the electrical panels, (which surprised me because I'd never asked hiim to do that,) but that was fine. It would save us from having to wait on the order. He said he would call me on Monday Aug 3rd to set a time to start the job but I never heard from him. I followed up on Wed Aug 5 and he said he was busy with a big job that his Dad has scheduled without his knowledge, and he couldn't get to my job untill Monday Aug 10. Aug 10 rolled around and I never heard from him. It's now been two weeks since my initial call to schedule the work. i'm having to chase him down because he's not calling me as he'd promised, so I followed up again on Wed Aug 12. When I reached Tony he told me he had lost his phone and had to move my job back for a third time, to Saturday Aug 15. At this point, Tony has twice failed to call me back and twice postponed my job to take another. This is now his third re-schedule request and I I said "No, I can't wait another week and I'd like the work be done this week, as promised." Tony became offensive at this point and said "I don't want to argue with you. If you don't want to work with me I don't want to work with you. " What? I never said I didn't want to work with him -- just the opposite -- I'm trying to get him to work with me as he'd promised. I was shocked to be spoken to like that after having been asked for a third reschedule in a row. I said "Wow! Ok." and hung up the phone. Ten minutes later I called his father, Bruce, who owns the company, because I thought Bruce might not be aware of the amount of cancallations that had been asked of me. I though maybe he would be interested in keeping the commitment, but Bruce said he had been listening to his son's side of the conversation. When I asked if he was interested in my side he said "No. I'm on my son's side?" He kept talking over me and chastising me for not paying for the estimates. I said "I didn't know there was a charge for estimates -- I've never been given a bill, so how can you say I've not paid you?!" Bruce talked over me and I couldn't get a word in edgewise. He seemed to be egging for a fight and didn't care if he lost a client. He didn't care if his company kept their appointments and didn't care if he was rude. It isclear to me that my work is too small to be of value, and that as as customer, I am disposable. Both Father and Son are rude -- bad manners and bad business ethics run through this family business. These guys are more interested in servicing their own schedules than in keeping appointments with their clients. I am a patient person, and they could have had a lot more work from me, including a complete rewire of an another house, but three reschedules in three weeks and I've had enough -- but to me insulted on top of it? That's just the sour cherry on top of this unprofessional engagement. Skip these guys and you'll save yourself from their delays and disrespect.
Description of Work: Bruce owns the business. His son Tony provided quotes to me on June 5th, 2015 for some work on a newly purchased home. One quote was for a new panel that I thought the insurance inspector would require immediately, but it turns out he didn't require it. The other bid was for interior finish work that I wouldn't need for 6-8 weeks, and I explained all of this to Tony. I never asked him to buy any panels or do anything more than prepare a quote at this point in time.

We moved into a home we just purchased and were advised by the home inspector to have the panel labeling checked. When I had a new washer installed, the outlet did not work. Bruce Holt and his son Tony checked the panel and discovered that the washer outlet had been disabled at the generator panel, something I was unfamiliar with. Bruce then checked to make sure the generator worked and set it for automatic weekly refresh. He also tested to make sure it would come on automatically should there be a power outage. All along, he explained in detail what he was doing, and why. He also advised on additional maintenance items that should be done with the power generator that he doesn't handle in his business. Throughout, he was very friendly and extremely helpful. I'll gladly call him again if/when I need an electrician.
Description of Work: Check/fix panel labeling and rewire/relable as needed on the regular electric panel as well as the generator panel.
