From the beginning working with the folks at Duron Smith has been a pleasure - from Shannon (who apologized profusely for a former colleagues mistake (I was not on their schedule) to Mark the technician who was sent in error (but went above and beyond providing technical expertise as well as working with an estimator on the phone to get me a quote in the limited time I had )to Mike the Estimator who made sure every detail was done just right. They were honest, forthright and you just knew the work was going to be done right. I would have no issue recommending them. They were responsive, professional, kind and honest.

They were on time, tiddy and completed the job in less than the estimated time. They also determined that they did not have to replace a valve that they included in the estimate.

Duron Smith AC & Heat Inc. was really good at looking at the big picture and trying to find an efficient solution for whatever we mean to have as far as heating and cooling. When we moved in, it was winter time and we knew that we were going to replace the system because we failed the inspection on them during the home inspection. We knew we had an issue to deal with. The system on that side of the house was sort of working but not great because there's zero airflow in the bedroom. There's nothing coming out of the vent upstairs but the downstairs and the kitchen which was down below our bedroom that was running on the same unit was pretty good. What they explained was the air was going to take the leak-resistant and that's to our downstairs and the cool air doesn't rise. The only way we were going to get good cooling upstairs was if we ran a separate, third unit upstairs and two units downstairs because of the way the house was built. We're very happy that we did that because we got exactly what we needed.

Very professional crew. They did what they promised on time. I had a small problem and they were very responsive and fixed it the next day.

Duron and his team (Randy, Greg and Paul) were excellent. Despite severe weather and a bad circuit board, they persevered to install the new heat pump system in one day. They were both courteous and professional. Their workmanship appears excellent. Duron provides excellent customer service, and clearly wants to ensure that his customers are satisfied. He visited with us twice, and corresponded numerous times until we decided which system we wanted. When a bad circuit board was found, he drove from Melbourne to Orlando to procure a replacement so that we would have cool air that day.

They were fast courteous and knowledgeable. We were given options and prices as to what would suit our needs and budget. They explained everything and answered all of our questions.

The last week of July, I discovered that my old heat pump was on its last legs due to age and extensive corrosion, so I started entertaining estimates for replacement equipment. I didn't know how hard it was going to be to find an installer willing to take the time to address all my concerns instead of trying to sell me a "box" so they could get paid and move on to the next commissioned sale. From discussions during our first meeting, I could tell Duron was a "craftsman" and a cut above your average HVAC "salesman". He was more interested in hearing what I wanted than in trying to "sell" me something. He was also quite candid in describing some of the issues he's now having with certain brands of equipment he's installed over the past few years. So when the old heat pump finally "died" the middle of October, it was Duron with whom I elected to negotiate the install of new equipment. Just so happens, timing allowed me to take advantage of Carrier's Fall Cool Cash discount. I also opted for the factory 5-Star extended parts and labor warranty instead of a less expensive 3rd party labor warranty, so that upped the price a bit. Once I made my decision and signed the contract, Duron moved into action very quickly to get the permit issued and by the end of the week I had a brand new, 20.5 SEER heat pump system, Carrier's top of the line Greenspeed with Touch Control. The job also involved moving the condensing unit about 15 feet, running new copper through the attic, new high and low voltage wiring inside and out, adding a second 20x20 return air filter grille, and modifying the ductwork with dampers in the attic to better balance airflow throughout the house. I was extremely pleased with the professionalism of Duron and his entire installation team, including the licensed electrician who did the high voltage wiring. There were only a few minor cosmetic issues after the install that Duron quickly addressed in the next day or two. You couldn't ask for a more technically competent, professional and caring installation team! Not to mention their welcoming me to look over their shoulder throughout the installation! I'm glad I took the time to find someone willing to address my ductwork concerns and install the 3-ton high efficiency unit I really wanted to replace the old 3.5-ton, single stage heat pump, instead of demanding that I up-size to a 4-ton high efficiency unit "because that's what we always do when the old unit is 3.5-tons". I can't wait to see my new, lower electric bills next summer!

Duron was very prompt and punctual coming out to give us a proposal. Then the work was accomplished, on schedule, which included removing the old system and installing all new equipment. The installation team was very professional, arrived on time and on the date promised, and finished the installation the same day. They were cheerful, and willing to answer any questions I had. After the install they cleaned up the area completely. This was a great company to work with. I recommend them without reservation. Price shown includes a FPL rebate for upgrade of A/C to a more efficient unit.

The technician I had was did an outstanding job and we're very pleased with the service. It runs so well now, that I don't even know it's running. These people are a little bit higher in price, but I got what I paid for and plus. In my opinion, they get a AAA in every category!

He gave me a quote, honored it, and did exactly what he said he would do. However he was not quite clear about the warranty.

I like their professionalism and integrity. They could have sold me something that I didn’t need but he didn’t do it. He said that he could do the least amount of work but then again I would have to pay for it again in a couple of months. So he said that he would do everything upfront. I let him do it. His honesty was definitely a high point. Their price was reasonable. They were professional and courteous.

They were honest and came out immeditely. They explained everything and knew exactly what the problem was.

He does contracts if you need them. He does annual contracts but I don't need one because I know him well. I am very careful who I use and when I refer people I am putting my name on the line as well.

I liked working with them. He was very willing to change something that I didn't like. I didn't like the filter container and they came and gave me a new one. He was very professional. My son has used his services and he recommended the company. I felt that the price was more than it should have been and they didn't give me any kind of a discount. I am almost 90 years old and they didn't give me a senior discount. They didn't give my son any kind of discount either even though he had recommended them to me.

They were very professional, courteous and hard-working. Their customer service was commendable and the price was excellent. I would recommend them as I was very pleased.

My daughter's air conditioner system was totally down and we actually contacted another contractor who quoted $500 and they said it would take three days. So I called Duron because I had used them before for my house. They were able to fix it for a lesser amount and it was up and running in an hour. I've used them a lot and they are excellent. They are very responsive, trustworthy and they know the stuff. I would highly recommend them to anybody.

The job went fine. They came out and serviced the AC unit. They came on time and did a good job.

Service man arrived at my house within 45 minutes of my initial call and diagnosed the problem efficiently. He returned the next day, and replaced the motor after 5 PM. I was very pleased and satisfied with their prompt service.

Absolutely fabulous. The AC went out in my house. I called the company at 1:30 pm. By 4:30 pm the technician had arrived, diagnosed the problem and made the repair. Technician was very knowledable. He knew immediately what the problem was and what needed to be done. Great service, great price, great company!!!

I chose Duron Smith A/C & Heat because their sticker was on the unit & they had good reviews on Angie's List. They sent someone within a day at my convience & quickly established the problem. It was repaired just as quickly. I asked how the unit looked since I had not had it checked since I had moved in 3 years ago. The service man said it looked like it was in good shape which was a relief. I enjoyed cool air that evening but then the unit inside was making a noise but not the cooling part. I shut it off but the noise continued until I turned the breaker off. Back in the bedroom, water started to come up through the floor boards. All the worse case options went thru my head & the next day was Saturday. I called in the morning & Duron himself answered. He said no problem & sent the service man over. It was a drain problem & fixed very easily. The water had overflowed & flowed over the slab to the bedroom. After adjusting the flow & inserting a pan I have, it won't drain onto the slab. No floor repair needed. I have a 50 year old house & was greatly relieved I did not have a major problem.

They came the same day I called. Arrived promptly. Did a nice job. Very professional and personable.

Condenser (outside) unit was inspected, small amount of freon added, and the condenser coils were cleaned ( a nice touch). A capacitor was determined to be on the verge of failure and was replaced at cost of $161. However, the capacitor was incorrectly hooked-up and the unit shutdown after approximately 15 minutes (shortly after the technician had left the job site). After reporting this issue, the repair technician promptly returned, diagnosed the problem and fixed it (rewired capacitor).

The job required them to manufacture a plumbing assembly that put a quarter inch heated water supply line into the tank and a second quater inch line from the water heater out line as a return to the a/c heat exchanger unit. They came out and made notations about the assembly required and returned on a seperate day to install the assembly into our system. We were impressed with the professionalism and courtesy. They showed up when promised and completed the task promptly. They left the areas they worked in clean and in good order. The job also included validating that the heat exchange unit was still functioning properly.
