Had an inexperienced apprentice do most of the work. The final product was uneven with huge gaps around the edges. Grout is coming out. Used caulk to fill in edges to hide poor placement of tile.
Description of Work: Repaired bathroom shower floor.

Dan Bray, owner president, arrived with a 17 year old inexperienced teenager to demolish & install an intricate tile pattern in my shower & replace all existing tile in my master bath. Mr. Bray left the job many times to do estimates leaving this child alone & often with nothing to do as he waited for Mr. Bray to come back with further instructions. After we pointed out the shoddy workmanship we were told this child was his grandson who had never touched a tile before & had done a good job per Mr. Bray, as he referred to the shoddy workmanship as a "matter of opinion". Mr. Bray did not pull the appropriate permits with the county. His measurements were so off we could not open the vanity door, Mr. Bray installed the bathtub fixtures wrong to the point we could not open them. I had to call Delta to advise/instruct Mr. Bray how to install the fixtures correctly. There grouting/spacing around the tiles was uneven & left with sharp edges. The plumbing work was less than adequate. Metal joints were attached to plastic pipes with a lot of plumber tape to hold them in place. The tile on the shower floor was installed over the old tile & already had started to slide & lift. There was no durock in all the wet areas, for example, tile was installed over plywood on the platform of the garden tub. Mr. Bray would offer no information on the correct materials to use. The border we had picked out was installed in the shower even though it was not appropriate for a wet area. Mr. Bray advised us it was what we picked out, he would grout it anyway even though it would ruin the look of the tile. Mr. Bray abandoned the job after speaking with another contractor, obtained by Mr. Bray, who suggested a complete demolition as the bathroom could not be fixed. After a large fine was imposed on this company by the Department of Professional Regulations in June 2014, & Mr. Bray was sent for remedial training , he still owns & operates Diamond Home Builders , however had his truck repainted to remove the name, and also opened as "Dan The Handy Man". Beware of this company, the name may be different but the owner & quality of work is the same.

It took three guys to pick up these windows and put them in. They did an excellent job. They were very professional, courteous and polite. Sometimes dealing with some contractors can turn up to an argument, but I didn?t have a disagreement or an argument with Diamond Home Builders. I would use their services for any other major repairs that I might have again.
Description of Work: Diamond Home Builders installed an eight foot bay window around January last year, right after Christmas. The person I dealt with cut an eight foot hole in the wall of my family room. He took the sheetrock out and the stucco. He ordered glass shadow-proof windows. He sealed everything up and it is hurricane proof too.
