Best Pools of Brevard

It went fantastic! This is the 4th pool a member of my family has had built by Best Pools. The quality and effort that is put into their work is very appreciated. They are always ready to step up in any way to make customers' backyard dreams come true.

pool looks great. It took a long time for an 8 by 20 pool. My entrance to my yard was too small for the BIG equipment they brought in. They said they would have to take down my fence and I was ok with that, but they ruined my neighbors fence and pulled up her pavers when they moved her fence. They dropped a load of dirt on my roof. After the pool was done, I had to put up a new fence, asked them if they were going to pay for my neighbors fence and fix all her pavers since they didn't have permission to destroy her property, and they told me it was my responsibility. I paid for my neighbors fence and that cost me 500.00. Then when it rained, the dirt on the roof kept going in my pool causing a mud pool. I called them to please get the dirt off of my roof and was told that there was nothing that they could do about it. After complaining a bit more, They came and cleaned it off. All of my neighbors saw what was going on and said they would never recommend them.

Best Pools is an excellent pool contractor. Our pool included: -Design- their designer worked with us to design the shape of our pool at our house. Other companies took up to a week to even get a first draft of their design. The quote included many extras that other companies charged extra for. -Excavation- Best Pools -Rebar- Best Pools -Gunnite- subcontracted to Prestige, turned out great -Deck pour- Best Pools -Screen Room Enclosure- subcontracted to Helms Aluminum, they did a great job with a 2 story screen room -Deck coating- Best Pools -Solar Panel- cubcontracted to United Solar Enegry -Plaster- Best Pools -Electronics- Best Pools We are really happy with the quality of every facet of the job. I had a pool built by best pools three years ago and while i was satisfied with the pool and quality of work done, the service after the sale has been horrible. I have had trouble with my motherboard on my chlorine generator and the process of even getting a call back was painful frustrating.the office staff believes that you are unreasonable because you expect a call back within three business days. They were very responsive until I had my pool completed and paid for. it went downhill after that. My motherboard has gone out again and I have now waited a week for them to call me back just to let me know if its still under warranty. I would not recommend nor have them do anymore work for me.

This job was to be done in 2-3 weeks. We received the quote and made the deposit in 2006, December I think. After many calls, the work was finally started in February 2007. We had been told that since they had to grind down the old surface of the deck and cut some of the concrete to replace the drain, that they would tape some plastic against the large windows of the Florida Room that the pool was next to. They did not do this, so that room was layered with about 1/4" of dust and filled with the fumes of the motor of the machine they were using. This seeped into our house, where I had 2 cats that have asthma (which I had told them about, which is why the plastic was to be used). I came home from work, which was at the Building Department for our city, and found them doing this. I spoke to the supervisor, he assured me that they would clean the Florida Room and place the plastic against the windows like they were supposed to (it was on the contract, written at the top of their copy). I was present when the supervisor told the deck guys to extend the drain to the extension we had done a few years back to the deck, to cut at an angle and not follow the corners of the house and fireplace. When I came home from work, the cutters had followed the edge of the house in a zig-zag pattern, not the angle the supervisor had told them to do. They had to dig up the concrete and replace the damages. While speaking to the tile guy, who did an excellent job, he explained that they had lost a crew and this was a rag-tag of people who had never done deck work. I wondered why a bucket on wheels never left this one spot in the empty pool, it was there for the year it took to finish this job. After the pool was refinished and the pool was filled, I figured it out. There were 4 indentations where the wheels had been - so they had just dropped the bucket into the empty pool and left gouges where the wheels landed. While the deck was being resurfaced, only about one half was done, then there was a few months before I could get anyone out to finish the deck. This person left raised swirls in the deck, I tried to get the company to grind these down, but they were too high for them to do so. So their answer was to add more deck surface, which left patched areas on the deck, looks absolutely horrible. It was not finished until months later, when they called to get the balance of our account paid. I told them when they finished the job, they could have their money. I also complained about the gouges inside the pool, had the owner come out to look at it, each time he claimed he could not see them, also said he could not see the swirls in the deck. Everyone who came to our house had no problems seeing them. They finally finished the horrible job, got paid. During this experience, I became so stressed out that I ended up in the emergency room with chest pains and feeling light-headed, so add the expense of the hospital stay. Just a couple of months after the deck was resurfaced, there were large cracks located all over the deck. It looks worse now than it did prior to us having the job done. I will NEVER use this company again, I have warned everyone that has said anything about having pool work done, I have also heard others complain about this company's work. This company is definitely not the BEST pool company, regardless of their name. It was a year of nightmares. I have over a thousand photos of the before, during, mistakes and finally the after results. Do NOT do business with this company, they will take your money and give you a Dr. Dominto team to mess up your pool.

They were horrible. They were there one day, then gone three. They would never show up on time. It's only been 1 month and my pool deck is already cracking. I was not happy with the service provided.
