Art'S Window Tinting

I made the mistake of trying to save a few bucks by having a local stereo shop tint my windows. Long story short, we had bubbles in less than six months and had to pay again to get it done right. Art's is the place most of the local luxury auto dealers trust to do their tinting, so you know they do it right the first time. If you're going yourself, don't expect a luxurious showroom. The building itself us quite unassuming - it's an old gas station. Turns out that's a good thing, because it allows them to keep their prices low. They open very early - took my car right on time at 7 AM. Average cars take a couple hours. You can wait if you like, but have someone pick you up and have lunch. They have several types and styles of tint - from the base Llumar ATC series to the newer "ceramic" CTX series. Don't worry, they'll explain the differences to you. Basically, the CTX series has better heat rejection properties and keeps your car cooler. Be careful when you're selecting the percentage of tint. I got busted a couple years ago by a State Trooper for having tint that was too dark. They will recommend the darkest legal tint you can get and you'll avoid trouble that way. His price was the lowest that we saw. He got the job done right the first time.

The price quoted was better than or the same as the best prices quoted from other providers, which I found from the ratings on the internet with Google, since there was nothing in Angie's List that was local. Art's was the only provider who answered their phone. The others eventually got back to me days later. Art also explained the differences between standard and ceramic tinting. I made an appointment and the car was serviced in about the time promised. Also noteworthy was that the lady there took the time to explain the differences regarding legal in Fl and not, as apparently many people choose and quot;not legaland quot; and take that chance. Art's also does the tinting for the local police dept. and they know that many officers have darker tint on their own cars, so it's a crap shoot. I figure cops will avoid tickets better than me, and since I've had to remove illegal tinting before I chose the legal tint with greater heat efficiency. While there I witnessed about half the customers choosing otherwise. Also, Art's will give a cash discount if you don't use a credit card, which I did. My $79 job would normally be $75 then, but I paid $70 as she was in a good mood and it was Christmas! This is payback!
