AMERICAN LEAK DETECTION - EAST CENTRAL FLORIDA

The American Leak Detection technician broke two of jets in my pool when performing the inspection. I have followed up multiple times to receive placement parts or compensation to buy new jets and they won't even answer my emails or phone calls. I've never experienced such a lack of professionalism from a company.

I told them i thought there was a leak caused by an exterior plumbing repair. They never checked the repair, but looked all over inside the house and didn't find the leak. They told me my slab was cracked, i needed to pull up the floors and get an engineering company to find it. I told my neighbor to take a pic the the repair and sure enough there was a obvious leak. After haggling, they gave me a partial refund, tho they are convinced they did a "good" job. They are probably too dependent on high-tech tools to use their eyes and common sense.

After talking to the staff personnel, it was determined that I needed to contact a plumber first and then contact American Leak Detection. I did and the plumber fixed the problem so I didn't need American Leak Detection. I appreciated their help and honesty in steering me in the proper direction and solving my problem.

Technician came out the next day, accurately detected the leak, and repaired it within a couple of hours. I was very pleased with the process.

Fast service, Excellent professional technician with the right equipment to diagnose exactly where the leak was. Our leak was under the slab inside the house. . They identified the exact location, verified, and then drilled, verified again, and then removed the concrete slab section and put a temporary clamp on the pipe --- until the plumber could come and fix it. Absolutely and considerably relieved with how fast & efficient this business is. As I said, my water bill went up an additional $100.00 in one month, so price is well worth for identifying exactly where leak is and isolating it immediately. I would definitely use them again and recommend to anyone interested in solving problem quickly & efficiently.

He was beyond super. He spent the entire day looking for the leak. He went through all procedures and even called someone to help. Finally found the leak. Very carefully chipped out two tiles, found the leak, over sleeved the leak, cement filled, left enough room for the inset to put the tiles in. He was super! An absolute professional! I have nothing but great things to say about him!

Recommended regrouping when weather is warmer

The 2 technicians arrived ahead of schedule, began work promptly, and kept me informed. I was impressed with their friendly attitude,and the speed with which they accomplished their work. In one hour, they had completed the leak check, isolated and repaired the leak, and cleaned up their work area. I would definitely call them again, and highly recommend them to anyone needing this kind of work on pool or spa.

We had a small water leak in the house. The plumber I called said they did not find leaks and recommended American Leak Detection. My neighbor's son also used them to find a leak. The tech was on time, courteous and professional. It took several hours but he was able to find the leak, expose it and put a rubber patch on it to stop the leak. I tried to get him to fully repair the leak, but he seemed uninterested in doing the complete repair. I had to have a plumber complete the repair which cost additional $100 to fully expose the damaged pipe and $225 to repair the leak. In addition, the American tech damaged the main water valve (which was not necessary to use) and it cost $125 to replace. American did not offer to reimburse this unnecessary expense. If I have another leak, I will find a plumber that both detects and repairs the leak.

It went smoothly and with no issues.

The end all was horible in that my entire house needed to be replumbed from 1959 copper to the current, but THEY were great and spared my home more damage.

Swimming pool was leaking nearly doubling my monthly water bill. I called American Leak Detection since I had used them about five years ago with good results. The tech came at the the appointed time with his tools which included electronic detection systems. After a complete checkout, he determined the location of the leak. Unfortunately, this would require breaking through the deck. We scheduled a time and the repair was completed. PVC pipe under the deck was identified as broken and was replaced. The deck was patched. Enough time has passed that I am certain that the repair was successful. The deck removal was minimal and the patch looks good. I still have paint from the last pool refurbishment so I informed the tech from American Leak Detection that I would paint it after allowing the patch to dry.

Tech arrived on time. Was very professional, explained what he was going to do, gave costs up front. He was very helpful in explaining the procedures as he went on. Found the problems and fixed same. No added charges. Would highly recommend this company.

They came and looked around inside the house. I showed him where the water damage is. I described the problem to him. He said that he couldn't help me if he couldn't see the problem. I showed him where the water comes up through the floor and has stained the grout and trim, which are normally white. He went out the front door, and I thought he was going to his truck to get something. I looked out the front window a few minutes later and saw that his truck was gone! I called the office and they put me to the voicemail.

They guarantee their services for thirty days. If one calls one day past thirty days, they will not do anything to help one. They did fix the problem however; it did start to leak again. They were very professional. The gentleman that came here went right to work. He cleaned up after himself. He did a great job. I think the problem lies within the initial building of the pool. I really don't think it was his fault that it started to leak again. Eventually, my husband fixed it.

I have never had any problems with American Leak, they are prompt, courteous and very responsive and knowledgeable. They work quickly to get to my sites and provide a prompt turn-around for their reports.

They found the problem and they fixed it. I cannot say anything bad about them because they did their job. They showed up on time and they were very professional.

It turned out to be a pin hole that produced surprisingly a lot of water. Our bathroom is backed with tile and we were worried it would have to be entirely torn up. The guy who did the work was able to isolate the leak to one square tile and removed the one tile, fixed the leak, prepped it for our tile person to come and replace the tile. You can't event ell where the tile was. The work was all done in half a day. We are about to call them to fix another leak. Their price was reasonable. We have recommended them to friends. They do a great job.

They did a fantastic job. They were very professional. They charged us $360 just to come out and then they charged more to find the leak and fix it. We really liked the two guys that came to do the work. My husband wanted to write to them a nice letter about the guys that came. We were very impressed with them. We go what we wanted. The first time they came they took a while to find the leak. My husband had made a note of how much amount of water we were losing and that gave them more information. They fixed the leak after that. I see them quite a lot in my neighborhood. I rate them high overall.

Mike (the technician) arrived Saturday morning, as promised. He was professional, and quickly located the leak under the slab in one of our bedrooms. He explained everything to us in plain english. He gave us reasonable options, and did what we asked. He even assisted in moving the dryer out of the way for the jackhammering. He was very conscientious, taking care not to make a big mess, and he did a great job of cleaning up after himself. He was very respectful of us and our belongings. We did end up having to put in a second hole in the slab because the leak was almost under a wall, and it was not easy to get to. Mike filled the first hole back up for us, since the second one gave easier access to the pipes. (We asked him to try going in through the laundry room in the hope the pipe could be reached. We wanted this instead of ripping moving everything out of the bedroom and ripping up the carpet. Unfortunately, the leak was just better accessed from that bedroom. This was in no way a reflection on Mike, he told us where the leak was, and he was exactly right, he told us the options, and he did what we asked.) He applied the temporary repair, as promised. He cleaned everything up. The bill was exactly as promised. Overall, American Leak Detection came the day after we called, and arrived on a Saturday morning, and took care of our leak until our plumber could come that next week. We were very pleased with the service and would call them again if needed (but we sure hope we don't need to). We highly recommend them. Be aware that this company is very respectful of the local plumbers. They specialized in the temporary fix, and prefer to have you let your regular plumber do the final repair. It might not seem to make sense, but they are very mindful and respectful of the local plumbers and are not trying to muscle in on their turf. If you use American Leak Detection, keep this in mind.
