WONDERFUL !!!!

Jim and John Baumgardener worked quickly and efficiently in all the required tasks and cleaned up after the work was completed. They were friendly and responsive to all questions and concerns.

My kitchen was transformed from ugly to beautiful!! Jim and John did an excellent job from the quote to the completion of the work. Jim was very professional at all times, arrived on time for the quote and for every day of the work. The price quoted was several thousand dollars below two other estimates ( I used his Angie's List coupon). Jim always returned my phone calls and answered my questions. During the work, they protected my countertops and floors. They worked nonstop each day and cleaned up each afternoon before leaving so we could still use the kitchen at night. The kitchen now looks new and updated. I am very pleased with the work.

The owner of the business and his helper showed up on time and were friendly. They worked steadily and the work seemed to go smoothly. They noticed a possible gap between the existing back splash and where the new counters were to be placed and said they could add a short back splash to make it look good. After placing the new counters, the gap was smaller than expected, so they just used calk to fill in the small gap remaining. No breaks were taken and the work was done within 4 to 5 hours. They had a shop vac, and cleaned up their mess before leaving. They had to remove the sink in order to replace the counter top. They noticed that my sink needed replacing as the hardware that supported the sink was all rusted out. I agreed I would do so quickly (within the week). They left and I was thrilled with the work. Later that evening, as I was putting my "stuff" back in the lower cabinets, I noticed the pipes under the sink were leaking. I called and left a message. It was a very slow leak so I indicated it wasn't an emergency, but didn't want to wait for the sink installation, since I hadn't even called a plumber yet. The next morning (Saturday) I got a call from the owner saying he might be able to get someone over on Monday. By then, I had called a plumber to come on Tuesday and since the leak was so slow, I told him not to worry about it. Then I noticed a gap (about 1 - 11/2 inches) between the counter and the dishwasher. I could see insulation through it, making it look more like an amateur job than a professional one (at the cost, I expected a professional, finished look). I again called the owner. This time he didn't offer to send someone, but said the plumber (who is paid by the hour) could fix it because he would know how. Just a simple adjustment, he said. I thought that was his responsibility, but didn't push it. The plumber took care of it at a cost. Before the end of the week, the caulking cracked. My daughter has worked as a professional painter, so I asked her to take care of it. I didn't call back, because I was sure his solution would be to do it myself because it's not difficult. Maybe I was unfair and he would have come, but based on my previous experience, follow-up is NOT his specialty. I would use him again, but with written confirmation of his responsibilities post-job completion for problems encountered within a "warrantee" timeframe. I waited a while to submit this because I kind of felt bad. The problems were minor, but he should have come to fix them - not had another professional take care of them (the dishwasher gap).

Jim responded to our call immediately and promptly came and measured. He gave us many options and money saving ideas. He is very professional and we plan on using him for other projects in our home. He is a very pleasant person with a great sense of humor and we can't imagine that anyone would be disappointed in his work. We found the perfect person for the jobs we needed done.
